Our recent stay at the above, we have the following comments
Cleanliness , overall good but we found party balloon under the sofa with lots of dust on the floor a false eye lash under the table in the seating area and in the bed room there was a tin of Hydrodation tables under the bedside table.
Communication, very good.
Comfort, very good especially the beds we all had a good night's sleep.
Facilities, very good our only comment would be perhaps a brolly for the outside seating area as it's a sun trap with no shade from the sun.
Value for money. What you would expect from Airbnb

It was close to the town centre

It took 60+ steps to get from your car to the living room. Parking was very, very tight and confusing. You would think that flat 8 would use parking space 8, but no, it was number 13, and they didn't tell you that on the paperwork.

One of the best places we've stayed in Whitby. Excellent location. One parking space then a parking permit for our other car to park close by which was ideal. The cottage itself was great and the garden was ideal when the weather was nice Thursday and Friday. Dog friendly too which is a big plus for us!

This wasn't an issue for us but there are quite a few steps up to the property so just be mindful if you have any mobility issues when booking.

Super standard of accommodation with 2 bathrooms, comfy beds and excellent kitchen. Good TV with Netflix too. Nice seating area, safe for dogs and young children. Close to town. WiFi excellent.

63 steps from the car to the top floor kitchen was hard. The parking space and ability to turn or line up was difficult but it did take a large 4x4 OK. Broomfield Terrace is a narrow pain of a road. The details were economical with details of parking availability on Booking.com. It only said free and no reservation required. It wasn't until the joining instructions that it was clear there was only one space but a card system with free parking for 4 days on streets 5 minutes walk away up a steep hill was the best offer. With the size of the house 2 cars coming must be common? Finally, Host and Stay bombard with messages about things local which probably can be researched on Google and are a bit threatening if you don't do things right like overstay the 10am kick out time for example.

We had a lovely stay in Oyster Cottage, it’s a great location. Close to the harbour area and the Cinder Track. Having some outside space was also a bonus, so we could enjoy the rare bank holiday sunshine.

The location was amazing, so close to the centre of Whitby. The rooms were comfortable, clean and airy. The beds were good and bathrooms a good size. We loved the large window/balcony in the living room with a great view. Communication was good and clear, and easy access to property.

The car parking space wasnt very clear, maybe my own fault as tried to park in number 8, instead of looking for cottage name. The space to park is super tight to try fit in. There was a lot of stairs from the parking space up to the property, then 3 floors up to kitchen with the shopping. We didn't mind the exercise but it's worth keeping it in mind if not 100% fit.

Excellent location with car parking space and a secure garden which is super hard to find in a busy place like Whitby. House was exactly as described and as per photos, gorgeous furnishings and spotlessly clean. Fully equipped with all kitchen utensils, cafeteria, coffee machine and hoover, iron, washing maiden and hairdryers etc. Also a washing machine, dishwasher and freezer which is super handy on family breaks. Loved the extra touch of the safety lights on each level.
About a 10min walk into Whitby. Perfect for families especially with a dog. We will definitely be booking again.

A weekend in Whitby with 4adults and 2 children- the location was superb. The accommodation was excellent for our needs. Do not go here if you have any mobility issues as there are lots of stairs. Parking is very tight, but useable. The house is comfortable and quite well equipped. It was clean with nice towels provided.

Great townhouse and very close to town but not too close so that it was noisy. The apartment was lovely and modern whilst still feeling homely. Parking was a bit of a squeeze although they do state that small cars are preferable. There are quite a lot of steps up to the townhouse from the car park space which, if you've got a lot of bags can be quite hard work. The hosts were really responsive throughout the stay which was great. The apartment was just about big enough for us (4 adults and a baby).
Would stay here again at such a good price and the addition of a car park space makes it very worth while in Whitby town centre.

Had a nice stay here, property was clean inside and nicely furnished. Beds really comfy and there is some outside space with seating. Location is easily walkable to harbour and the abbey. House is upside down in layout and kitchen/lounge is on the top floor, there is no storage space in the kitchen, but that was ok for a few days, you might have issues if you stayed longer. There are more than a "few" steps to the property as advertised, there are quite a lot and if you have mobility issues then dont stay here. The car parking space is also not great, it is very very small, the actual spot is opposite where have bins chained to the wall so trying to swing around to get in without hitting the strangely placed columns is near impossible. Anything bigger than a fiesta and you'll need to find some other parking. Be aware of Host and Stay, frustrating that after payment they demand more money for security deposits or insurance policies and then they keep £10 for an admin fee!

Great location and clean, new feeling interior! Good communication from host company, with very clear communication throughout.
Obviously sucks to be stuck with additional external deposit system & additional inexplicable £10 admin fee?! But it all went smoothly and our deposit came back promptly 👍

There were some great aspects of Oyster Cottage. The location is very good - just a few minutes to the harbour and the local shops. There was a parking space (it is very tight but we managed in a Berlingo just about) which I believe is unusual in Whitby. The towels were lovely and the shower was great. We had all we needed. However, it is located up a slope and then another 37 steps to the house (not ‘a few’ as in the ad). When we arrived, there were no hand or tea towels and there was a footprint-type mark on one of the bed sheets. The biggest thing is how close you are to the other Air BNB properties - I’d estimate 7 metres. We regularly made eye contact with those in other houses, including one person in bed. Having said that, I would return as it was well located. We had a comfortable stay, though it might be tight if there are six of you for a period of time.
