This was a gorgeous setting for a family weekend away. Location is very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful countryside views. The accommodation was very spacious, lovely big bedrooms and two living areas. Good size kitchen and dining table. It’s decorated and furnished really nicely. However, it was unfortunately lacking in basic necessities for a nice stay and that didn’t reflect the price paid. Lack of useable kitchen equipment. No sharp knives. Dodgy toaster, grill covered in fat and smoking when used, dishwasher didn’t clean pots even on hottest setting. Provided with very minimal supplies, lack of loo roll, bin bags, dishwasher tablets. No washing up liquid etc. when you’re paying this amount of money you expect these things to be provided so you can have a relaxing weekend. We ended up needing to drive to a shop to stock up. Property also surface level cleanliness, in need of a deep clean. Finally, avoid property if you don’t like dogs.

Upon arrival we were pleased with the Parlour. Instructions were great to locate the property and the manual was very useful. Perfect amount of space for a large group and a toddler, each room with an en suite which was ideal. However, we soon become disappointed with the cleanliness of the property. There was large amounts of black mould and grime in the bathrooms, stains on bedding and the cups, plates and cutlery had not been fully cleaned. We located mould in multiple pans and even after attempting to clean these ourselves the mould remained. I informed the cleaners as we left that we had purposely left these aside. Upon reading previous reviews, I can see this has previously been reported but the pans remain… Overall we made the most of our stay and enjoyed our time but would have felt more comfortable if the property was clean.
