The Parlour is a fabulous property with all the home comforts you could ever need. This was such a relief as a few members of our party became poorly while we were away and we spent the entirety of our stay in the accommodation! Despite the illness we had a lovely time celebrating my mother-in-laws 70th birthday thanks to all the facilities The Parlour had to offer

We had a great stay at this property while working locally. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and well presented, with everything we needed for a longer work stay. Communication with the host was excellent throughout, and check-in/check-out was straightforward. The location was ideal for our work and we would happily stay here again.

This was a fantastic location and exactly as advertised. However, I felt the early check in fee payable to get in the property was a little on the high side and we didn’t have access to the hot tub for two of the three days due to it first not being turned on, followed by some repair work the following day which I wasn’t informed of prior to arriving. To be fair, the owners were apologetic and responsive to this but it did take the shine off our stay. They also helped out with the complaint to the agents host and stay. But sadly this is taking some time to get a resolved. Two weeks for a simple issue is a bit much.

We had a beautiful stay at the Parlour, super peaceful, the house flows nicely, it was immaculate, spacious bedrooms and hot tub icing on the cake. Could benefit from a few more kitchen utensils. Nice to meet the owner who was extremely helpful with great recommendations. Would highly recommend this property well worth the value and perfect location if you want a rural escape to the country.

We loved our stay at The Parlour! It was a lovely house with great amenities. The kitchen was well equipped, the house was clean and John was great and only a phone call away when we needed anything. I would highly recommend this property and if we’re in the area again we’d go back in a heartbeat.

We had a great stay with the family. It was a great location, quiet and away from things but within a short distance to towns to visit. We stayed in December as a family and had a few guests come for a Christmas dinner with us on the Sunday. The kitchen was Fab and large enough to hold all of us. Really cosy living room. The bedrooms were all large with huge beds, en-suites and walk in wardrobes

The Parlour was exactly as described and more! We had such a great and relaxing time, everything was amazing and the hot tub was incredible. We would happily look to rebook again in the future. Lynne, John and Oscar the dog were lovely accommodating hosts and would highly recommend staying here.

Our stay here was great. The place was lovely for a few nights away and the hot tub was an extra bonus! John was great and popped over when we were having problems connecting the tv to the WiFi. There were a couple of lamps needing new lightbulbs in the living room when we arrived but again John came over and fixed this for us. Communication was really quick. There are a few things missing in the kitchen you would expect (only one small chopping board for example, no bread knife etc). The place was clean overall, however there were a few areas such as the shower which could have been slightly cleaner! The beds were extremely comfortable and we felt the place was great value for money.

Beautiful house but let down on a lot of factors. Hot tub was unusable for the 1st night as was cold. Took overnight to heat up WiFi in the sitting room was none existent so made the room unusable as the tv wouldn’t work. Hot hot hot inside. Heating was set to 25’ and was stifling and we struggled to turn it down. Dirty pans in cupboard from previous occupants and some of the pans wouldn’t work on the induction hob. Also no practical cooking dishes and oven needed a good clean. It was filthy. Showers had black mould and empty shampoo/ shower gel bottles Coffee pods advertised but we only had 2 milk pods. No coffee pods Only 4 towels for hot tub but 5 occupants No condiments or any type of welcome pack. Also was charged £30 accidental damage waiver on booking ( or asked to pay a £250 accidental deposit but £10 kept afterwards if no damage, as admin fee) which wasn’t mentioned until the place was booked. A little attention to small details would make a huge difference

We had a lovely stay at this peaceful spot and the views and surroundings were beautiful. We felt at home straight away and loved the cosy sitting room in the evening and made good use of the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable and the linens clean and fresh. There was some black mould on the shower heads and the edge of the showers which could have been addressed by the cleaners but that was the only thing we felt disappointing. The owner brought us some lovely fresh eggs and the overall feeling of the place was homely yet luxurious. It was hot whilst we were there and the bedrooms got extremely warm during the day, even with the blackout blinds down, so fans would be a useful addition to the bedrooms in warmer weather. There were no restaurants, pubs or shops in walking distance but we found some a short drive away. All in all, a lovely break in a beautiful part of the world.

This cottage exceeded expectations. The rooms were spacious with lots of communal space to relax in. Everything was clean and comfy and the hot tub was superb. Our hosts were quick to respond to any queries we had and were super friendly. The only downside was the lack of walkable paths from the door, however the road is quiet so it is possible to walk along the road. Despite this, I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

I travel quite a lot for work and I’ve recently been working in Newcastle. The parlour it’s self is beautiful, the lay out and the scenery. Stunning. The only issues I had where under all of the beds where thick with dust and for over £100 cleaning fee you’d expect just because things aren’t viable to the eye to be cleaned regardless. The wifi inside the main living/kitchen area was ok but kept dropping out and if you go into the other living room the wifi wasn’t working at all for us. It was hit and miss. This made working from there slightly difficult for me an in the end I had to use my mobile data. We also had a slight issue with privacy. However overall stay was good and would return.

Myself, my husband and 4 children thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's in a peaceful, rural location which is exactly what we were looking for. The property came with added extras which was a nice surprise: shampoo, shower gel, tea, coffee, milk etc. The hosts were lovely and always around if needed. Thankyou for a lovely stay!

Beautiful property and amenities for a very reasonable price One of the main reasons we chose this was the consistency in the bedroom layouts, hot tubs had lovely plenty of room Only tiny things for us would have been a more comfortable area to sit outside, but it was a really great accomdation The owners were great, brought us some lovely free range eggs

Three generations stayed here from 9 months to 89 years old, while attending a family wedding. The accomodation was spacious and clean with everything you needed for a great stay. The hosts where very kind and accommodating, would definitely return.

We stayed at the Parlour for a girls weekend. The property is stunning and done to a very high standard. It was spacious and had everything we needed. The only issue was on Saturday the power started tripping and it turned out to be a problem with the hot tub which we then couldn’t use. Although this was disappointing, John spent ages trying to sort it out for us and later Lynne (and Oscar the dog) can over with sincere apologies, a bottle of Prosecco and some cash back. There’s not much in the area but we didn’t want to do anything but chill at the property so it was perfect for that. Very peaceful and private and beautiful. Would recommend.

The house was excellent, plenty of space for 6 adults and parking for at least 6 cars if required. Inside was superbly furnished with all the bedrooms having an en-suite. John and Lynne were on hand if required and the welcome gift of the bottle of sparkling wine was much appreciated. The house is situated in the countryside, so no walking to the nearest pub, but it’s a short drive from Belsay village shop (less than 10 minutes) and about 15-20 minutes into Corbridge which is definitely worth a visit. From the house we were able to comfortably reach Alnwick and Holy Island for day trips. I’d highly recommend the house, and will definitely look to book again next time we holiday in Northumberland.

I stayed at The Parlour for a week for our anniversary - what a fantastic place. Definitely amongst one of the best AirBnbs I've stayed at. The home is stunning with modern design and the hosts John & Lynne were just incredible. Greeted us with fresh farm eggs and other welcome gifts and were just a stone's throw away in case I needed anything. The place does have a BIG hot tub/Jacuzzi that fits 6 people comfortably with controllable temperature and fancy lights. The tub is in a private area that is on the front of the house (the hosts live behind the house) so there is ample privacy. We were not once disturbed Amazing place with super clean and comfortable beds and toilets. Bonus were the weighted duvets that put me out like a light. Surrounding countryside is just stunning with amazing sunsets. A++++ would highly recommend

This is a really impressive stay for a very relaxing family break, which is what we used it for. The location is quite remote so perfect for privacy with some lovely walks around. We made good use of the hot tub too! Vindalanda is about 30mins drive away and definitely worth a visit and there's parts of Hadrian's wall pretty much everywhere (if you go for a drive) which is a must really if you stay here! Lilli was a lovely host with some good suggestions, and we enjoyed meeting Oscar the dog! Thanks for having us!

Beautiful stay at this converted farm location. In a secluded and very private area. Hosts were on hand answer questions or deal with any issues. Having chickens on site with fresh eggs was a big plus and the kids enjoyed feeding the chickens. Internet was abit hit and miss but in a secluded break like this you may want to switch off and enjoy the peace. Huge hot tub was a nice touch. I left some valuables there which the hosts and the letting company were extremely helpful in returning. (Thank you) Would definitely recommend a stay here and would consider staying here again.

This was our first stay at this beautiful new property in a great location with amazing views. The owners Lynn and John were incredibly accommodating and had set up birthday decorations which were sent prior to our stay for our arrival and had included a wonderful gift for our group. The accommodation is incredibly spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The hot tub made our stay which was also set up for our arrival, we look forward to returning in the future, thank you.

Fantastic spacious accommodation. The beds were large and incredibly comfortable. All the amenities of home and then some extras. Plenty of space for our two families plus cars. Hot tub was the icing on the cake. Great location in the middle of the countryside, brilliant views and only 35 mins from the centre of Newcastle if you want some city experience. Hadrians wall a short drive with lots of other places to see and things to do all within a short radius. Check-in and out easy as pie. Excellent host (farm next door).
