The location was great with a very responsive host , lovely apartment in a great location was just a few minor things the wall crumbled on our heads over night no fault of anyones and it could have been a little bit cleaner but other than this it was a lovely stay.

We stayed in the top floor studio for 2 nights. It was ok, not clean though, so the cleaner needs to spend more time on that aspect. Parking is a hassle. No glasses and basic lack of knives (some were broken), utensils and cooking equipment, only very few cups, bowls, plates etc. Very small pieces of brick and pointing fell from the walls several times, which was disconcerting. Overall, more care and attention from the host needed.

Overall our stay was lovely. The accommodation is in a central location and walking distance to town and the beach. You can park outside the apartment from 5pm - 9am daily free of charge or there is a payable car park less than 5 mins walk away which you can keep your car 24 hours. The reason I have not given 5 stars is due to the cleanliness of the apartment. On first glance it was very tidy however we quickly noticed areas for improvement. For example, when entering the bathroom we noticed splashes of something red all up the door frame of the door (we wiped this away easily so this could have been done prior to arrival). We also noticed lots of cobwebs around which to be honest were pretty hard to miss. Lots in the bathroom, above the bed and around the kitchen. I work in hospitality so I don’t think my expectations are overly high but it was disappointing having to go round myself and wipe marks away and get rid of cobwebs.

Accommodation was on top floor but not a problem as we had views over the cricket pitch. It was clean and spacious. Good location. Definitely value for money. Host friendly and tentative e-mails.

Lovely apartments perfect for a couple! The view onto the cricket ground was fantastic especially with the sunset! Spacious and well done out. Only downside was the heating didn’t seem to work and was a little chilly! Would recommend staying here to anyone!

Very nice apartment with all the necessary utilities I required and more. Also has free parking right outside between the hours of 6pm and 9am which was perfect for me as that was the only time I needed to park the care. Also very close to beach within a 10 minute walk and lovely view of the cricket stadium.

Arrived at the property to find it had no parking when it advertised it did. This was sorted my manager Mel she arranged for us to have a parking permit. The property was absolutely filthy the window overlooking the cricket field was cracked all the way down and covered with cellotape but it moved in the wind and it made the place freezing. The bathroom had wee in the loo and flys. The shower was full of grime and hairs. The place smelt of cigarettes and there was a party going on in the room below us. It cost me £135 plus £25 insurance waver (which was supposed to include a £50 cleaning fee that wasn’t done) I took pictures and videos to show how bad this place was. It really was awful please don’t waste your money going here. After making a complaint i finally after weeks of waiting got a response and they said that they are going to give me £100 back even though I haven’t been given the full amount back which is outrageous I have to appreciate the work that manager Mel did to help.

Great location, very walkable to the beach. Apartment was well equipped (though could use some hanging space), clean, warm and easy. Bed was extremely comfortable. Stairs kept us fit. Pet friendly

Very well placed to explore all of Scarborough. Hint about carparking. You can get a Disc park from the local store on the same road. There is a car park near Peasholme Park that is free until March 1st, we used that to park in the day.

The Wicket View looks exactly like on the pictures. Good to know for luggage - it’s on the top floor. Kitchen has the necessary equipment, shops are nearby to get supplies. Didn’t find a manual for the washing machine on the companies webpage but a quick online search helped. Quiet are, if you love cricket, you can watch the guys practice

Looks just like photos and like says in description is up multiple flights of stairs so need to be mobile. Couple of nearby car parks (2 min walk) but are paid for. Shower power is very weak. You can hear the other flats in the block quite easily. Great view over cricket ground. Easy to find and 12 ish minute walk to town centre, two mins to sea with great views.

I spent one week almost in the apartmant and I am realy grateful and satisfied. Only two "little" things wich could be better: 1. The mattress on the bed was the other way around (the spring part was on top and when I lie on bed the spring was hurting my back) 2. The sofa is not the same, which is on the picture. (Unfortunately smaller) Overall I I recommend the place and was plesure to stay here!

Lovely decor throughout exactly as photos depict. Clean and comfortable. Very spacious which helped as we brought or Italian mastiff with us on our stay. The lock box entry makes it very private which I liked. Only downfalls would be the 4pm check-in as for the money you’re only really getting a limited amount of time in the property. Also there is a smell constantly in the bathroom which is rather unpleasant, I believe coming from the drains but definitely puts a downer on such a lovely space. The shower pressure was quite weak and temperature didn’t seem to change. Overall it was an enjoyable stay however the price per night I believe is a little steep.

My stary in this lovely flat was just great! I was a touch concerned that some previous visitors had their concerns eg. about the brickwork/the shower/the bed etc. and I was braced for these. The reality was everything was just great and I had a fabulious stay! Having staayed at a large number of Airbnb's this one compares well, it is brillaintly located jsust 5 minites from the Minature Railway and two minutes from the beach and the view of Scarborough Cricket Ground is inspiring. In fact it was an inspiring visit all round! The only minor issue was the parking - I had to park a few minutes walk away to get a free spot, but otherwise it' a great flat and I felt really at home... :-)

This is a hidden gem within Scarborough. A ten minute walk from the sea and within minutes walking distance to the park. Local shops are within 3-4 minutes walk. Host quick to reply back and resolve the issue we had - a cosy place!

The apartment is very stylish and the bed is comfortable. The views of the cricket pitch are great, the apartment is well placed for the open air theatre and the beach. Unfortunately I have more bad things to say than good though. Other guests have mentioned the crumbling brickwork, we woke to brick dust and chunks of brick on our pillows. The floor and furniture were covered by the time we left. The wifi didn't work for the first 24 hours, it took several phone calls to get it working, it then stopped working again 48hours later, communication surrounding this was poor, the hosts must be aware of this issue as reviews for all the flats in the building mention the wifi not working. My partner and I are in Scarborough for work and we had to buy extra mobile data to connect for our meetings etc. The listing states a kitchen with cooking basics, there was only one small saucepan and a frying pan to cook with. A previous review states a used coffee pod was left in the machine, I can only assume we were the next guests and there was still a used coffee pod in the machine suggesting it had not been cleaned, we chose not to use the machine. The general cleanliness was okay, but the floor had not been vacuumed very well and was covered in dust and debris. The flat suffers with disturbance from other guests, the floor shakes as the people downstairs were walking around, a lot of noise as they slammed doors, we could hear all their conversations and their activities in the bathroom (yuck!!). A very pretty flat but we would not stay here again.

Such a lovely location. The decor and design of this place is gorgeous. Be warned it is up many flights of stairs so pack light!! Internet didn't work the first day but it was sorted once I enquired about it. Although it was tidy it wasn't overly 'clean'. Pull down sofa bed wasn't clean and some dishes had marks on. Used coffee pod in the machine. Otherwise it was a nice safe space.

Great location for the Scarborough coast and very easy check in process. However, i booked this airbnb as a surprise staycation honeymoon for my wife and i due to lockdown. We had high expectations following previous airbnb stays. Unfortunately this airbnb was far below what we expected from a company that has over 200 properties to rent. Property becomes extremely hot with limited ventilation, even when all windows are open the property has the feel of a sauna, making sleep difficult, no fans provided. The blinds do not block out any sunlight, so in summer months prepare to be woken up at 5am. The aesthetics of the property are spot on, however brickwork will crumble ontop of you when you are asleep, each day we had to pick brickwork out of the bed in the morning, with no vacuum provided there was brickwork underneath the bed from previous stays. During a pandemic we expected property to meet standard levels of cleanliness however sofa had crumbs, hair and bits of fingernails in the crevices. Luckily we didnt stay on the sofa for long because it feels like it is made out of cardboard. On the whole the property feels like style over substance, if this was an individual or family running the airbnb you would be inclined to accept that things wont be perfect, however as a company with over 200 properties you expect more especially considering the price. Will not be returning.

We stayed at wicket view Thursday to Sunday, a little seaside break with our lab Milo. The apartment is at the top of the house with great view of the cricket pitch and beyond, very well thought out with everything you need, the comfiest bed ever!! We did lots of walking by the sea, and found everything we needed nearby. Car park just around the corner which was really handy. North bay is much quieter than the south which was ideal for us. Didn’t want to come home, and already looking forward to visiting again. Scarborough and surrounding area just lovely. The customer service team were great, plus the apartment was very clean. Thank you!! 😊 we loved it X

really impressed with this stunning well equiped trendy apartment. lovely views of Scarborough cricket ground to the rear. perfect location to explore both North and south bays. we managed to get parked at the NCP car park 5 minutes walk away at just £6.00 for 24 hours. we would certainly go back and highly recommend. the photos don't do it justice.

Wicket View 128 Maine Road, Scarborough Date of stay 10th - 15th May 2021 This superb studio apartment accommodation on the top floor of 128 Maine Road was very comfortable and exactly as pictured on the web. It is perfectly situated for walking to both North and South Bay beaches. You are able to control the electric radiators which made it cosy on the cold nights we were there but then turn them down when apartment was too warm. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need. Great spotless appliances, Fridge freezer, oven, electric hob, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, washing machine even suppling coffee capsules and milk. The lounge had a large tv with the option of Netflix if you already had an account. The bed was wonderful with nice bedding etc. The bathroom was spacious with lovely shower cubical but shower a little disappointing as not as powerful as expected but there was always lots of constant hot water. There was also nice touches like diffuses and scented hand soap cleaning materials etc. We had a lovely view overlooking the cricket ground. Even though we knew the apartment was at the top of the house we didn’t appreciate the amount of stairs needed to climb. On our first attempt we were out of puff as both over 70 years old but as the days progressed we obviously became fitter and managed no problem. The only negative we had was the parking which couldn’t be helped. The demand for‘on street parking’ is around 5 to 1 due to the number of apartments per house. We managed to grab a spot near the accommodation when arriving and departing and had already decided to park in a covered and secure NCP car park about a 10 minute walk towards town. It cost £12 per 24 hours reduced to £8 if you added the NCP App on your phone. We had an issue one day with the WiFi and contacted the property management number provided. The staff were very pleasant and the issue was resolved promptly. Just one suggestion would be to have a mirror by a power point to aid drying your hair. Overall 10/10 and would definitely stay again.
