Excellent property, as described in a great location and a good size for a family of 4. 2 bathrooms very useful plus an extra WC, comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and designated parking in Whitby is always a bonus. I only have 2 negatives about the property, which I did feel let the accommodation down- yet are easy fixes and have been mentioned in many previous reviews. There are, the weeds in the yard- this would be a nice little space to enjoy a cuppa, but the weeds clearly haven’t been weeded this season as they are huge. Also, the stains on otherwise very nice carpets, surely nothing a good carpet cleaner couldn’t sort out. It’s a shame as these are the first two things you notice when you enter the property, and have been mentioned by many guests yet not dealt with. Otherwise, the property was very clean and well equipped. The Chinese takeaway at the Met 2 mins away was lovely. We would certainly return.

We had a wonderful stay at The West Cliff Retreat. The house itself is perfect, with everything you need for a stress free stay. Very comfy beds and plenty of room. Dog friendly too, and a private parking space, which is a huge bonus for us. The location is perfect. 5 minute walk down to the beach and a leisurely 10 minute stroll down in to town. Close enough to everything in a very peaceful spot. Host & Stay are very easy to deal with and very helpful and responsive. literally nothing negative to say about this place and we will never stay anywhere else in Whitby.

Great location and really peaceful. Just a minute to the cliff tops and approx 10 mins into the town. Great to have a private parking space too. The apartment was ok, the beds and sofas were comfortable, but the carpets had stains on and there were someone else's dog hairs on the back of the sofas. There was no freezer space within the fridge, which seemed strange. It was hot when we went and we would have liked somewhere to put ice cubes. Equally, we were left just a couple of dishwasher tablets, which only saw us through to mid week. The little yard area is a nice space, but needs tidying up (there were a lot of weeds) and it would benefit from having an outside tap with it being dog friendly accommodation. Overall a good location, but but expensive for what it was.

Great spot to stay, very close to the sea front & whales bone attraction. Everything you could need for a short stay. Carpets had many stains, and cobwebs in various places which were mentioned in other reviews. Would stay again.

We had a fab stay in this property on the west cliff. Showers were immense, lovely open plan living room and parking was a real bonus! Oh and beds so comfy ☺️

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. The location is excellent being only five minutes walk to the beach but still easy walking distance to the centre of Whitby. The apartment itself is very comfortable and well equipped. Everywhere was clean and tidy. It was also very warm which was important because it was absolutely freezing while we were in Whitby. Next time we visit Whitby we would not hesitate to stay here again.

Perfect for walking Whitby.. quite a few steps to deal with getting around the town but the home stay was perfectly clean with excellent linen and towels. Water pressure in the bathrooms was great, my only issue is soft mattresses . But this is a holiday home, and very comfortable for the purpose. Thank you

Fantastic location, large off street parking space which is a very big bonus in whitby, close to the beach and only a 10 minute walk in to town, ideal location for me, nice and quiet with a really nice Chinese restaurant at the end of the road. The main bedroom, the bed was really comfy so a big bonus for me. all in all the place was lovely and will definitely book again

The property was very well situated in a quiet area and within an easy walk of the West Pavilion where we were attending a function. Also great to have a private parking area. It was clean, modern and tidy and ideal for the 4 of us (all adults) 2 bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet. The kitchen was well equipped apart from there not being any wine glasses which really need to be added. An easy fix! A mirror in the smaller bedroom would be useful and also the addition of some wardrobe/hanging space in the main bedroom would help. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

We had a great stay at this property overall. It was a little confusing to find but once we did it was really easy to access the property. It was in a great location 2 minutes walk from the beach and just a 10 minute walk into Whitby. There is wifi at the property but the password provided was incorrect and so we couldn’t access it for the first day of our stay. This wouldn’t have been an issue but the signal in the area is terrible so we couldn’t use our data either to search for things to do or make restaurants bookings etc. I contacted host and stay about this but because they were quite slow to respond and told me to restart my phone and forget the network etc & to put the same password in which again didn’t work. In the end I just checked the router for the password and tried that and it worked so password details need updating. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Lovely property! Peaceful and ample space inside for a family of 4. The two parking spaces were a bonus too. Would definitely stay again and hoping to go back sometime later in the year! Facilities were brilliant. Three bathrooms was a definite advantage with two teenagers. Washing machine and dishwasher too. And I liked it that you provided dish cloths, washing up liquid, tea towels and even dishwasher tablets! Only negative is similar to others comments, please clean the outdoor spaces like the patio and balcony. Luckily we didn't have the weather to use them but they both need a really good jet wash for guests to be able to use! But other than that, could not fault the property at all! Far enough away from the hectic centre but close enough to walk into town. Loved our stay and just wish we could have stayed longer!!

We had a great stay at 32 Welton Court in Whitby. The place itself is in a fantastic location for us. Really close to the beautiful West Cliff beach which is a real bonus for us... and the dog 😊 & a 10 minute walk down to the harbour and town (15 at our leisurely pace!). The house is really spacious and very comfy, the beds especially. Lovely clean, soft, white bed linen. Nice hot, powerful showers! We only had 2 very minor grumbles, only a very small amount of loo roll in each toilet (less than half a roll). Very nice to have a dishwasher but no dishwasher tablets. Would be great if this was provided seeing as most visitors would only use 1 or 2 max per visit. The place was clean and tidy in the most part but lots of dirty water marks on the shower screens and the shower tray in the main bathroom was dirty and some stray hairs. Easily sorted with a quick rinse but with a £60 cleaning fee as standard, I expected spotless. Overall very happy & we will definately be back again soon.

The house was warm and comfortable-some areas could have done with attention Eg shower in en suite needed extra cleaning and the cooker hood was in pieces? Not enough glasses - so I had to buy some! Great location due to walking distance to beach and Whitby centre.

Great location and the property looks just like the photos. Arrival instructions very clear and access via the key box was easy. Unfortunately I don’t think the place house had been cleaned after the previous guests. Informed the host who offered to send cleaners round but we had already dealt with it. After reading a few other reviews & the host responses I assumed that the points mentioned would have been dealt with…they haven’t…the property needs a some TLC and the furniture in the rear yard and on the balcony is really way below what you would expect for the price you pay. On the positive side the parking for 2 cars immediately outside is a massive bonus. I would definitely return but would like to see the host positively action some of the points raised in the feedback.

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at 32 Welton Court! The host was incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The space was clean and beautifully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The parking situation was incredibly convenient, with space directly outside the flat so I didn't have to worry about my car at all. The location was perfect, with Whitby town centre being only a 10 minute walk away. I'd happily stay here again! Highly recommended!

Looks just like the photos, good location about a 20 minute walk to the centre of whitby if you have a dog probably quicker if you’re just a couple on your own. It was right next to west cliff beach which was lovely to walk past everyday and made it lovely a cool on such a hot week. Easy to find and easily accessible. Few things needed maintaining such as random drill holes in walls and upstairs light not working and also a lot of weeds outside and rusty garden furniture. Overall a good stay and was contacted every so often to make sure things were ok. A good place to have dogs stay over aswell.

This property was in a great location for us accessing Whitby town centre and the beach. It came with parking for two also. The property was modern and comfortable but there are definitely some areas that could do with some maintenance. There were big weeds growing over the car park area and in front of the door which should have been cleared. The balcony upstairs needed a good clean and the chairs were rusty. The back garden area could have done with maintenance too. There were no blinds in the toilets or main bedrooms either which was needed really. The kitchen seemed very well equipped which was good and there are 3 toilets which all seemed modern and clean.

Great property, a small place but so well laid out it felt huge. 2.5 bathrooms was so useful, after spending a day in the sea, both kids could shower as soon as they got home. Close to everything in Whitby yet felt very quiet and peaceful at night. Loved the place, look forward to booking again

Good location for walking to Whitby centre and also the beach. Free parking was also appreciated. The property shows some signs of needing maintenance - water stains of on the walls in a couple of places from leaks and small parts of plaster missing here and there. Would have appreciated a small top box freezer compartment to the undercounter fridge. No garden so to speak off and only 2 rusty garden chairs and table (despite the property being a sleeps 5) which need replacing. Very disappointed with the Management Company responsible for the property and would actively choose not to stay in another property managed by them again. Despite is being mid-summer there was a weighty, winter duvet on the double bed which we complained about the first night but they did nothing to change it. Not an option to leave window open as only patio doors to the bedroom. We also asked for 2 other items which ought to have been provided and neither were during our stay. Very poor service.

We really enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect. Although the property sleeps 5 comfortably, there are only 4 chairs at the dining table. We had to use one of the chairs from the patio area if we wanted to sit and eat together.

A great find. It was fabulous to have parking on site and not worry about zones or parking meters. The house was clean, comfortable and perfectly positioned for us. It was lovely to walk the dog on the beach each day and the house had everything we needed. We had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic place to stay close to beach and amenities, house had everything we needed for our stay. The dogs loved their early morning walks on the beach. Although there were only 2 of us with our 2 small dogs the house would have been plenty big enough for the 5 guests it is advertised for. We would definitely stay there again.

We had a lovely stay here, the location was perfect just across from the sea! Very nice and quiet which is just what we wanted. We felt cosy and happy here. One thing which is not necessarily a downside, is that we couldn't control the heating and it seemed to be quite hot at times despite turning off the radiators. Otherwise a near perfect stay.

stayed for 2 nights in November. prior to arrival had good communication with the host&stay team. accessed property via a key safe. first impressions were that there were some damp in lounge corner and some holes in wall which had been filled but not painted and the outdoor lights not working (we couldnt find a switch?) albeit minor issues but when I had just paid £250 up front for any potential damages I expected there to be no issues with the property when we arrived. the location is fantastic, the parking off road and close by is useful and we were able to make use of the outdoor 3 point sockets for our electric car. some tea, coffee, sugar and a small carton of semiskimmed milk were provided; as were soap, shampoo and body wash in each bathroom. sofas, beds and pillows were comfy and the towels/bedding were soft and clean. all in all a good stay

Highly recommend this lovely, spacious and clean complex! Beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed, it was such a perfect base. The location was amazing and central to anywhere we needed to get to in Whitby, plus accessible to other towns and villages too. We loved it and hope to be back for longer next time. No complaints at all from our family of 4, or the pooch!

Fantastic property with two good sized bedrooms and a very well equipped open plan living/kitchen area. Many properties in the area don’t offer parking but this one has space for 2/3 cars. I would certainly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.. we were only 2 but it could comfortably accommodate 4 people. We would certainly look to book again if we were visiting Whitby.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, theres everything you could possibly need, it’s beautifully decorated and has so much space! A lot of effort has been put into it. We loved staying at this convenient location. Lovely clean accommodations. Loads of parking. If you’re staying in number 32 or 33, you need to look behind you for the apartments, they are not joined to the row of red brick buildings like the rest of the numbers. I would definitely stay here again. Check was very easy.
