The space

Violet’s View has been recently refurbished to the highest standard. With premium furnishings and beautiful finishes, you can expect a truly luxurious stay.

Head to the living room and you’ll find a comfortable space with a large leather corner sofa and glass coffee tables. Turn on the flat screen TV to keep up with your favourite shows or spend quality time with your loved ones. Sharing the space is the dining area which includes a large glass table with seating for up to eight guests. A real social hub, this space is great for relaxing with your party.

Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily. Shaker in style, the light cabinets are super stylish and in keeping with the rest of the decor in the property.

Violet's View boasts five spacious bedrooms. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with a single bed. The rest of the bedrooms are located on the first floor, and they include four kings and one single. Four of the bedrooms also include ensuite shower rooms.

There is a family bathroom on the first floor. Here you’ll find a delightfully modern space with a bathtub and overhead shower, wash basin and WC.

Outside you’ll find a large rear garden with outdoor furniture. The perfect spot for a morning coffee or an evening tipple, the garden is a real added bonus to this beautiful property.

Guest access

Guests have access to the full property. The keys are accessed via a key safe box and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

Private on-site parking is available for up to five vehicles at the rear of Violet’s View.

Booked for my partners birthday trip (6 adults and 2 grandchildren), the house is large with every room having an en-suite (towels supplied). Ample parking space for our 3 cars. Local Sainsbury's a 5 minute walk away. For trips into Whitby we used buses - stops are a 5 minute walk away and take under 10 minutes (£2.40 each way). Negatives: Dirty floors. Need a good clean as after a few minutes, everyones socks had turned black. Hand Wash. A few of the rooms had no soap in the dispensers - had to purchase our own own. Blinds. Upstairs front left room blind broken. All blinds really dusty. Lack of curtains an issue as the rooms were very light early on. Air Fryer. Dirty inside and needed a good wash before use. Beds. Very noisy and we would wake each other up when one of us was turning over. Front Lawn overgrown and untidy. Only 4 large dinner plates. Wifi details sent incorrect - correct details in the handbook. Above issues took the edge of what could have been a great stay.

Fantastic well Equipped house. Spotlessly clean. Doesn’t look very big from roadside but like a Tardis. En suite bathrooms throughout beautiful. Loads of seating outside and inside so perfect for our group of 7 Only gripe was that the lawn at the front all over-grown so not a good first impression. It is a long walk into town, uphill on way back but easily doable if used to walking. Great appliances etc. Very happy.

We had a great stay, here are the positives; each bedroom had a bathroom. It was clean. The neighbourhood was really quiet and there was room for 2 cars. The negatives were that all of the mattresses had springs poking up and could do with replacing. The property isn’t very close to town, we drove in every day and there were spaces in the car parks. The WiFi signal kept dropping and it could do with a coffee machine. All in all, we were comfortable enough and the property size outweighed any negatives. Thanks for hosting us. Whitby are is great to explore, especially the little surrounding coastal villages. Host & Stay were very responsive, 5 stars for communication.

The house is exactly as described and will do the job. There were a lot of cobwebs and dust, and I had to wash most of the kitchen items before using them as they had crumbs/food on. There also aren’t any curtains at all, so as soon as the sun comes up you are wide awake due to the light. Maybe invest in some curtains?
