A superb central location. Clean and modern. I loved the bi-folding doors as we had a lovely warm weekend stay and were able to open them and sit and watch the world go by - and the seagulls.

Overall was disappointed in our stay unfortunately. First impressions: stained hallway carpets to property (using plush carpet for heavy foot traffic entry to multiple properties isn’t a good idea, but if selected should be cleaned/maintained), bathroom lock falling off, bedroom door almost impossible to close, stains on the side of the bedframe, sticky remote. Received a link to a helpful guide mentioning coffee pods for the machine, but no machine (or pods) in the kitchen. I messaged to enquire and received an autoresponse “there is one”, when I replied it was missing, I received no response at all (no acknowledgement or apology, let alone a solution…) The place felt unmaintained/lack of care: kitchen chairs felt they were going to collapse at any moment, slapdash painting of walls, bathroom lock (as above), cracked shower tray….. A large superking bed ruined by the cheapest mattress (could feel every spring making for uncomfortable sleeping). However, nice location and views.

Lovely clean, spacious apartment on the 3rd floor with a nice view over Whitby. Well equipped kitchen. Fantastic location, right on a lovely street with nice shops and restaurants in the centre. Also near a good park. A bit disappointed it did not have a comfortable longe area, only a sofa in main bedroom and the kitchen chairs which I had not realised when booking. Otherwise a great stay Thank you.

Overall enjoyed the stay. Location was good and you can see why it's titled the view.. Appartment clean and spacious. Everything you need for your stay is there. Mattress, were a bit too soft and very bouncy when one moved so did the other Main downside for older guests would be the steps to the upper two rooms, (50plus)

Great apartment in a great location really pleased with it Only 2 minor issues Kitchen floor wasnt properly cleaned and lots of food crumbs left from previous visitors, real shame considering we get charged £60 from airbnb for cleaning id expect the place to be properly cleaned Also large crack in shower tray which is worrying due to only bathroom in apartment we had to use it but used as short of time as possible as to not leak water through to apartment below, also but concerning if someone cuts there feet on it as possible sharp edges

We absolutely loved our time here. the location is ideal and the apartment is lovely. The view from the kitchen was my favourite thing! We would love to stay again. Bed in smaller bedroom was super comfy!

Lovely apartment, shame it wasn't clean. The host was really friendly and the guidebook they sent us was really helpful. It's a wonderful apartment, in a great location with stunning views, but unfortunately it wasn't clean. The kitchen floor was covered in crumbs and clearly hadn't been hoovered or swept. The shower had hair in it and the toilet had skid marks in it. In general, the bathroom needs a deep clean. The sink and shower are covered with old dirt and the grouting in the tiles needs a good scrub with a toothbrush. If it had been clean, I'd be giving 5 stars but when you can't even be bothered to clean the toilet properly then unfortunately I can't rate it highly.

Very central location - easy to get to things. Good size rooms etc Very pleased overall. Stairs up to higher floors are steep if you have an elderly person or someone with walking issues - take your time

Apartment was lovely although when entering the building and heading to the apartment the staircase and entrance were dirty and in need of a clean. The apartment didn’t have coffee milk or toiletries which I know some places don’t but for what we paid I thought they would off overall lovely place with great view

Great location. Located centre of whitby, near all attractions. The communication with the host was smooth at all times. Apartment was clean and modern. Rooms and beds were spacious, with tellies in each room including kitchen. Apartment is located in third floor, it will be difficult for people with health problems.

BEWARE SCAM. Host has hidden conditions to pay compulsory insurance of £25 or £200 deposit. This is normally not allowed with AirBnB but they avoid this by setting up an external website. AVOID NOT BE RIPPED OFF. Also property itself is not particularly brilliant. It located on a side street which is infested by sea gull and pigeons so expect no sleep and bring an umbrella for entering the property.

Really interesting place as regards location and what the place had to offer , only two small negatives firstly after booking I was asked to encounter at extra expense an agreement with a third party insurance company which I really did not like or appreciate , please end this and put the cost on your rental , second gripe was really off putting arrival of a dirty entrance and seagull droppings on the door and entrance which obviously need a more frequent clean than you are giving at present as first impressions are everything , Thanks for a great stay though but unfortunately it all felt a little commercial for my personal liking.

Shame about the hidden costs! After you have booked - you will get hit for either a non-refundable damage waiver insurance or a non-refundable admin fee if you choose to pay a deposit - it is totally unjustifiable and essentially underhand to tack on unavoidable additional fees after you have booked for an advertised price. This is the sort of practice that gives landlords a bad name. The place itself was well equipped, and in a good location, if a bit grubby. The online instructions are very clear.

Nice modernised property, lots of stairs, so not suitable for people with disabilities. Close to the harbour and Abbey, pubs and attractions close by. No mattresses or pillow protectors. lots of nasty stains and shower tray had a crack. And first, and first impressions, not great. The stair carpet is dirty with mud and feathers. Because of the stains on the mattress and pillows, I wouldn't stay here again.

Took a while to find place after finally parking..didnt realise how many steps on staircase were ..i was on top floor .no good if you got astma or other health problems...location brilliant just same you are on a hill so not good if you have mobility problems..also the cleaning wasnt good apartment was very dusty even kitchen floor was dirty ..all four chairs needed cleaning as stained and the beautiful bifolding doors needed cleaning..i also bought my own teatowel and towels as i didnt want to be responsible using the washer dryer using their towels and tea towel..i might have if there had a been some soap powder included as there was tablets included for dish washer ..

This is a very nice city, it is recommended to stay for at least two days, the location of the room is excellent, you can reach the sea in a few minutes.However, the bed sheets in the room are stained. If you don't like the room, you need a security deposit.The room is not available for luggage storage, the host's luggage information provided by the host was not useful, asked the locals to find the station inn opposite Whitby station station to store it, it was very convenient and cheap 5 pounds I put down a large box and 2 backpacks.

It was a lovely property and has everything you need! Only 15 mins walk to Whitby Abbey and the coastal area full of amazing restaurants. The view from the kitchen and dining area was spectacular (you can actually see the steam train arriving at the Whitby station). However, it will take you 14 days to get back the £250 deposit, so be aware of this if finance is an issue for you. Lastly, the property is located on the 3rd floor without an elevator, so you may need a strong man if you've got big luggage.

We found the apartment was nice but definitely has some areas to improve in terms of first impressions. The stairway was unclean, once entering the room the overall cleanliness was good however lack of care on some of the finer details. The shower tray had a large crack in it, the walls had marks and chips in them. The carpet had lots of marks too. We felt if these finer details had been looked at it would have made the space look more presentable. The bed linen and chairs had marks on them too although they were clean. The quality of the mattress was very poor which left us both feeling sore the next day. We did make the decision to leave early due to this issue as I am pregnant and it was very uncomfortable for us both. That being said the location was central and lovely. Shops and restaurants within walking distance and beautiful location of Whitby. Noise levels were not bad considering it being so close to the shops.

We had a lovely time staying here in Whitby. The views were stunning and the place was set up so nicely. We especially loved having a tv in both bedrooms. It was very easy to walk to all the main spots including Whitby Abbey, the steps, and all the cute little shops near the pier. We would definitely stay again!

Beautifully decorated and equipped. Stunning view from the kitchen, plus partial seaview from the bigger bedroom. It was noisy (Sat night) with bedroom windows open, so we had to keep them closed. No problem with check in or communication.

Lovely apartment and loved the kitchen view. Spotless clean. Very modern. Bed was massive (2 bedrooms). Bathroom shower was huge (with a sealed crack so took pics). Central, so easy walk back from main street. 3 flights of winding stairs and narrow. 4 tv channels so limited viewing unless you have netfix. Would definitely stay again.

Convenient location, 3 flights of stairs will keep you fit, not a big issue for the able bodied. Run as a business using outsourcing partners. Professional not personal touches. All good as long as that’s what your looking for.

Not very helpful with requesting a later check out. Said it was for cleaning reasons but shouldn’t take 5 hours to clean an apartment of that size when only me and my partner were staying. Also the noise from the above flat was very loud on both mornings of our stay. Sounded like furniture getting moved around. The apartment definitely needs touching up with marks all over the hallway wall and plugs not fully connected to the wall. Other than that the location was perfect.

Lovely place to stay, very clean and beautiful. The view is stunning and the location is excellent. I will say that the parking is difficult, but we ended up paying to park in front of the co-op and it’s not a far walk.
