The apartment photos do not match the pictures displayed. The communal staircase isnt kept clean, dirty window ledges and staircase. The apartment needs updating, walls and doors all marked, general cleanliness not maintained. Lack of extension lead in kitchen for appliances, so had to unplug when using. WiFi housed on bedroom floor, didn't work for 48 hrs. No Christmas cheer, found tree and baubles in store cupboard, put it up ourselves. Kitchen crockery and glasses not adequate, plus weren't clean!! Boiler in store room noisy, carbon monoxide alarm provided, but housed in cupboard with boiler, didn't feel comfortable!!! Plus points apartment warm. Great location to beach and town.

We had a lovely time here, the dogs was settled and happy. My male dog loved looking out the window. Well worth the cost to stay. Would stay again. If any issues they were there on the other side ready to help.

We had never been to Saltburn and we will definitely be back. There is lots to do and, from the accommodation, we loved that it was all walkable. Yes, there were a lot of steps (59 up to the flat) but it's not called The Loft for nothing so we expected that. Lots of people have commented on the super lights in the flat - we, too, admired them. The flat is, however, up for sale and there are signs of wear and tear, particularly on the blinds and the vinyl surface of the dressing table. Everyone likes their own bed: we found the bed in the room with the dressing table to be sloping on one side; we then found the bed in the other room to be very soft. Hubby has a bad back, so he ended up sleeping on the sofa and I slept on the soft matress. Would we stay again? Though nice, we probably wouldn't stay in The Loft if I'm honest. Would we come back to Saltburn? Definitely.

Great place for a stay at the seaside, has everything you need. Slight drawbacks are it is the top floor so be prepared for 4 flights stairs, parking can be tricky. But great place would stay again

We had a great stay! The apartment was all we needed for our short break. We loved playing the card game in the evening after a day of exploring, was a great touch. The shower was lovely and powerful and a fully equipped kitchen with washing machine ment we were prepared for all scenarios. We took a bus to Whitby easily, but actually preferred Saltburn. Parking is easy on the street or frontvlooking out at sea (all free). The local pub at the end of the street was welcoming but not too noisy at night.

We stayed just one night in Saltburn and this apartment was the perfect location. The beach is right on your door step and the town square on the other side of the road we would find it hard to find fault! The bedroom window not opening is not a problem as seen in other reviews as the apartment is top floor and has a big vellux window that lets plenty of air in! The apartment was so clean and super comfy beds. We will 100% be staying again! Thank you!

If you have disabilities there are 8 flights to loft and there’s also a lot of stairs to get down to beach if the cliff lift is closed. Beautiful place well looked after loft. Clean. It was very hot when we went and a fan or 2 would have been amazing. Saltburn by the sea is a good looking place. Steakhouse is amazing and great food also down on the beach.

This place grew on us over the weekend. Great location and security was very tight. Hard to get into at first but once cracked, it was easy. This was reassuring as it made us feel safe. Somebody had been smoking in the communal area, which was unpleasant, but once in the flat, it was like a little haven. Lots of room and airy. Maybe could have done with a mop around but apart from that, good. The flat had everything you needed but felt it needed a morning’s work to put a few things right, e.g. broken chair which was easily repairable. The main bedroom window was sealed shut, with sealant, so couldn’t open but let a draft and noise in at night. Apart from these little bits, everything else was great. The bath and shower were both to die for and the toiletries were a nice touch. Outside of the apartment, the village centre was amazing with lots of independent shops, cafes & galleries. High recommend. And finally the beach…what’s not to like!

Good location for both beach and shops. Smack opposite the apartment is a pub which on the Friday night had live entertainment which you could hear quite loud and clear. Noise carried on until midnight both Friday and Saturday with people leaving the venue, contrary to previous reviews the noise amplified with being higher up. When first arriving there was a sewer smell in the front bedroom, left it till Saturday morning to see if it cleared. Still there so I contacted Dale to raise the issue. Quickly responded and I was asked to check the drains, which I did on my return from the beach. They were ok and the smell was isolated to the bedroom so reported back. Response was to use an air freshener...sprayed it with deodorant as I didn't have an air freshener but the smell kept coming back. Hopefully the issue is resolved for the next guests or an air freshener provided.

The Surf s Loft is perfectly placed to access the beach and the town. The apartment is comfortable, and modern, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider it again in the future.

What a wicked flat. 2 spacious bedrooms on a quiet street with a lovely local pub almost opposite. Being on the top floor you hardly notice any noise from the pub and it was a real treat to be able to just pop over and have a drink/food over the festive season. The flat has obviously been well planned and designed to suit the needs of AirBNB. It’s well equipped, warm and a good location. Almost an equidistant walk from shops to beach. Everything is an easy walk.

This flat was ideal for us -- very close to the beach in the lovely town of Saltburn. Everything was spotlessly clean and the hosts were very responsive. Because the flat is on the 4th floor, it was quite warm and there was a sign telling us not to open the bedroom window, so it was stuffy. As mentioned by an earlier review, the matress was also uncomfortable in that room -- it tilted me towards the floor. These would be easy things to fix and then the flat would be 5 stars for me.

The apartment is easily big enough for 4 people, all the amenities needed and it is located in the perfect spot. Would recommend going to saltburn if anyone wants a break away from home

Really lovely place and very conveniently located. The hosts talked to us promptly when we had questions. There weren't any cooking supplies as advertised on the listing (oil etc.) and some other essentials, which although they are not mentioned on the listing, would be really useful and convenient to have rather than buying your own for only a few days' stay (kitchen roll, washing up liquid etc.) so I would just recommend stocking up. Overall recommend the place!

The location was good and right by the beach. There were also some handy guides provided by the host company. Unfortunately storm Babet caused some leaking through the ceiling and the windows didn't shut properly, so it was very windy/chilly/loud. As previous reviews said, a lot of maintenence is needed on this property. It also wasn't very clean (used towel on back of the door and needed a good hoover/dust). This was all communicated with the host and hopefully sorted for the next guests.

Saltburn is a beautiful place to stay and this apartment is two minutes (if that) from the beach. The apartment has been finished beautifully but needs a little upkeep (mattress in one room has a lean on it), sofa broken in the middle (bit still able to sit on) and floors a little dusty (hard due to the sand being brought in I am sure). We'd consider staying again depending on other properties available (we left it too late for Saltburn should have booked a year in advance). A place with potential but not quite living up to that potential (yet!).

Great flat, as the previous reviews state, there are a lot of stairs to reach the loft, so bear that in mind when booking. Great location, very close to the beach. We stayed with our 2 young boys and the flat was well equipped with everything we needed. We had a lovey 2 day break.

Really only used the apartment for sleeping there at night as we were out early and back late so didn’t really use everything, apart from having a bath which was wonderful. But the place was as we hoped, all of Saltburn amenities right on your doorstep, apartment seemed to be well equipped, it was clean and tidy and quiet at night. The beds were comfortable, so all in all, very pleased and would be happy to stay there again. The 4 flights of stairs up to the apartment have been mentioned several times by others, it wasn’t a problem for us, but it is something to bare in mind if you have any mobility issues.

We’ve stayed through H&S before, the properties are always well kitted out and stylish. Surfers loft was a little unclean when we arrived. Mainly dusty, floors and some surfaces with one light having clean me written in the dust from a previous guest. We also had an issue with the smoke alarm which wasn’t ideal, at first we were told the job wouldn’t be prioritised and we would have to wait to the next day. Although the alarm was going off every 11 mins so after another phone call maintenance was sent out after 5th/6th time it went off. This was 8pm ish so wasn’t ideal with 2 small kids but these things happen. Was also surprised the TV wasn’t a smart TV. Other than that, was happy with our stay.

A really nice little bolthole to explore Saltburn from; it was very clean and pleasant, and had all the amenities we needed. Plus, 30 seconds' walk from the beach! The only downside is the amount of stairs you have to climb to access the flat, but we were warned about that so it wasn't a shock. I'd definitely stay again.

Really good location. Close to everything, but a nice quiet road. Plenty of free parking available too. There are a lot of stairs up to the apartment, so bear that in mind! The apartment was really clean and had everything we needed.

Great little place in Saltburn, just spent the week here. Great location, right near the seafront. Apartment is comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Bars, pubs and restaurants within walking distance. There are some great walks in and around Saltburn, some like the Valley gardens you wouldn't know are there. Ideal base for discovering the attractions in the surrounding area.

A lovely space in a great location, so close to the surf and to the bars and restaurants. 90% of places were dog friendly or allowed dogs outside, plenty of nice coastline walks . The apartment is well equipped and had everything we needed, the Alexa and tablet a great addition. A great stay, Thankyou.

What an amazing apartment! Great location for Saltburn! Very clean, spacious and up to date with the decor (just like the pictures) Quick to reply with queries etc but we had no problems, if you don’t mind the flight of stairs then it’s brilliant. Right on the sea front and a minute walk from bars and restaurants, we provided our own food for breakfast and drinks but there we’re plenty of storage for it. We will definitely be returning to this apartment and to Saltburn! ❤️

The location of this flat is absolutely perfect for a weekend coastal beach stay. Literally a 5 minute walk down to the beach but a 1 minute walk to the cliffside view of the ocean. It is a loft so it had sky lights which were so nice for lighting and looking up at the sky. The place is very up to date with appliances so it was easy to cook in and stay in for the night. For people who aren't good with stairs it is a good walk up flights of stairs just be aware. Communication and check in were good. They were not as prepared with amenities (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, etc.) as they could have been but once communicated with them they accommodated us since it was 4 of us staying here. But overall good stay and would recommend. Enough space for 4 people!
