⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a fantastic stay at The Old Jail in Seamer! We stayed here with my partner, our little cockapoo and my partner’s grandparents, and it was perfect. The property was lovely, comfortable and very well maintained, making it a really enjoyable home away from home. Having our dog with us was a huge bonus, and it was great to have somewhere that worked so well for a multi-generational stay. The location was also ideal for exploring the surrounding areas including Bridlington, Whitby and Scarborough. We all had a wonderful time and would happily stay here again. A lovely Airbnb that we’d definitely recommend! 🐶❤️

A lovely holiday rental very quirky and a great use of the space. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and many tvs ! Clean and in a great condition with nice linen and towels. Lots of lights on sensors and curtain/ blind combinations. 2 good ensuites for both bedrooms. We would recommend this property to others.

The accommodation was beautiful & is a lovely place to stay. Ideal for access to Scarborough, Filey, Bridlington. Well equipped & very clean. We struggled with washing & brushing teeth due to small bathroom sinks. Overall, a very lovely place to stay. The Mayfield do e cellent food, there are nice walks & a nice friendly village.

Accommodation was very good, very modern and ideal for a few days away. Would struggle if wanted to stay longer as no wardrobes only draws but overall we would definitely return. It was very hot and no fans in the property until we enquired and the owner dropped one off. Seamer is a lovely place, fantastic food at the Mayfield and the fish and chip shop is fantastic. We loved Wilson's Food Hall, lovely food and drink and very friendly

A little gem of a place , so comfortable and cosy . Location is beautiful, easy journey into Scarborough . I normally find something to moan about but honestly could not find fault. Our host was amazing especially as we made a last minute change to our booking. We will most definitely be back 😀

A really quirky property, furnished to a high specification. Lovely restaurant only a few doors down and everyone was very friendly. We used it as a base to visit North Yorkshire Water Park and Dalby Forest.

Described as small, but was perfect for a family of 4 with 2 children under 5. Lovely cafe 5 or 6 doors down for breakfast and a chinese takeaway was no bother. Close enough to Scarborough beach and sea front which is what we wanted, but without being too close. Great communication with the host - No problems, everything was clean and tidy. Really easy to get too with parking right outside. Slight noise from the guttering and fences in the upstairs bedroom, but this was fed back to the host so hoping this was sorted. That is genuinely the only bad piece of feedback we could give this place. Everything else, perfect.

A very nice well appointed residence that has been renovated to a high standard. The accommodation was located centrally in the village 1 minute walk to an excellent food hall and a further minute to all of the other amenities.

Good location with shop, park, fish and chip shop, pub and food court in walking distance. The property is beautiful and well furnished. The upstairs bedroom was very warm- it was 29 degrees on arrival and we struggled to get the temperature below 25 degrees. Although it was a warm weekend it was not the hottest. A few words for those travelling with children (not criticism of the property as there's nothing misleading in the description, just fyi). The room with bunk beds is nicely situated next to a bathroom. It is however on the ground floor with the only window facing out onto the street and of the kind that I would not feel happy leaving open at night. There are motion sensing lights in the corridors and stairway. These are handy as you don't need to leave lights on at night. However the one on the stairs comes on if you're moving at the far end of the kitchen which may disturb anyone sleeping upstairs. Bathroom sinks very small and no mirror to shave in upstairs.

Lovely property. Very well furnished abd spotlessly clean. We had to ring the host about a parking query and they got back to us immediately. Great communication. Nice little village with a great Deli cafe virtually next door( Wilson’s)- would recommend. Would be helpful to let guests know they can park out the front of the property in the pre check in guide. Would definitely come again.

We had a bit of trouble getting inside, realising when we arrived that we’d not been sent the lock box code to access the key. After contacting AirBnB, the problem was resolved within the hour and we were refunded £60 for the inconvenience. Once inside, the property was clean and tidy and looked like the photos. Our only complaint was the upstairs bed wasn’t very comfortable and the upstairs bathroom was tiny. The living space was comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. There was a handy local shop and the coffee shop called Wilson’s, just 30 meters away was lovely and welcoming - would definitely recommend. Thanks for having us ☺️

Lovely property in a great location. We were 2 adults, 3 children and a dog, so it was cosy but comfortable. Walking distance to a shop, playground, green and pub. The property was tastefully refitted and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately the dishwasher was not working but we were informed right away. All in all a great stay

Had an amazing time at the Old Jail Barber’s Shop. Such a comfortable and inviting place to stay and perfect for visiting the nearby towns of Scarborough (only a 10 minute bus ride if you don’t fancy driving) and Whitby. With a local shop and pubs just a few minutes walk from the property, it’s perfect if you just want to stay local. Charlie was in hand the whole time to help with any queries and would get back to us in a matter of minutes if we had any issues. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Old Jail Barber’s Shop and will be somewhere I’ll be staying at again in the future.

Absolutely beautiful cottage finished to a very high standard. It had everything we needed which gave us a real home from home experience. There was a fantastic guide app with lots of useful information about the cottage and the surrounding area to help us. Within walking distance there was a fab little supermarket for essentials, a pub serving food and a fish and chip shop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend as a great place to stay with easy access to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline.

Lovely place. Immaculately presented with modern furnishings. Very clean and tidy. 2 minute walk from the Mayfield Pub, Seamer Fisheries and a shop. Short drive to Scarborough. If you have young children the local playground is great fun.
