A lovely place to stay, well equipped , cosy and comfortable. The owner was friendly and helpful - we appreciated the extra firewood he brought for the firepit and that we were able to stay an extra night. A couple of cleaning points could make it even better- opening windows before our arrival would have aired the place better, the cafetiere was dirty and had been left quite a while. Top tip for developing might be to get an air fryer. We'd definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Really enjoyed my stay. it was close to the sea so I could hear it but not close enough to hear crowds of people. a 10 second walk from the closest pub. really beautiful little cabin which had a lot of cute things in it all themed around lobsters. Fairly private, I only saw maybe 2 people near the property the entire time. I would definitely come back.

The Lobster Pot is a great little gem in a fantastic location. The hut was beautifully decorated and well equipped for our week's stay and it was lovely to be able to enjoy outdoor seating and BBQ. The hosts were friendly, helpful, and responsive when we had queries during our stay. Being situated 1 minute from a pub, 1.5 minutes from the sea, just steps away from both The Cleveland Way and the coastal bus route stop, and a short stroll into town, made the Lobster Pot an ideal location for our stay. We hope to return soon

Great value for money, 2 min walk to the beach which is the most calm and unspoiled lovely British beach ever. Literally not a tourist in sight, such a nice vibe. The property was well equipped and we especially appreciated the fan during the heatwave. However, if you leave the windows open at night the shutters smash against the windows and this did disturb our sleep quite a bit. The sides of the bed were caked in dust which is minor but wasn't very pleasant so could do with a good clean. The shower/pipes in the bathroom also smelled a bit sulphur-y. The rest of the property was clean. These things didn't ruin our stay though and we still had a lovely mini break in Saltburn. The host was EXTREMELY responsive, potentially even a little too much information at times haha as there was a lot of messages/emails from Host and Stay. Overall 4/5* :)

Had a really lovely stay at the Lobster Pot. The host was very speedy at getting back to all my questions, really good. It's quiet, yet really close to the beach and all amenities. Even though I couldn't get an early check, in which was disappointing, the host was happy for me to park there in the free space for a few hours whilst I explored the area until check in, which was useful. The welcome pack was lovely, wine and crisps, what's not to like? I'll definitely be back, Saltburn is fab and the location and accomodation cosy, really comfy bed and perfect for what I needed. Thanks.

We love the Lobster Pot! We came to Saltburn for the weekend and this was the perfect place to stay. It's a 2 minute walk from the beach & nearest pub, a 5 minute walk from the pier, and a 10 minute walk from the town. Super clean, super helpful host, super place to stay!

We spent a pleasant few nights in The Lobster Pot, which was mostly great. Clear instructions in advance, and nice easy check in with key safe. The hut was cosy and comfortable, glad of the large fan as it was very warm weather. Mostly very clean, but some bits missed. We had very poor reception on EE and the WiFi wasn't the best. Unfortunately we had been left with only the very end of 1 toilet roll, no bin bags and 1 bath towel between 2 of us. Messages thru Airbnb seemed to be with AI which was frustrating and slow. Eventually got a call from a human the following day, and housekeeping dropped off supplies while we were out, including wine and crisps. Overall, a little disappointing having travelled a long way, but it is a super place to stay. Saltburn is a gorgeous old Victorian seaside town, the pebble beach just a short walk away, the nearby Ship Inn had a super menu and plenty of tables.

Shower was not fit for purpose. Electric shower thermostatic mixer was either giving extremely hot temp or freezing cold temp. Communicated this with the host during the stay, with no reply. Check in time was at 4pm, with an earlier check in not possible because of their apparent cleaning procedure. Arrived at the place and there were cake boxes left in the fridge and mugs with lipstick on them.

The hut is not on the beachfront it’s round the back of a barn. The area is nice but felt miss sold with the photos and location map. The hut itself is clean and tidy but the log burner isn’t functional. There was a note in the leaflet that urged us not to use it which is a real shame. Also no cooking facilities other than a microwave. It’s run by a company who constantly tries to upsell. Wanting more nights booked and tried to force insurance against damages on me. They send lots of messages with an overall threatening tone to fine you a lot of money if anything is found damaged but you can be protected against it if only you buy their extra packages. Not happy with this treatment myself so be wary. Tricky to find the place as well and the number they gave to call doesn’t work so no hope there either, won’t be retuning, shame as it showed a lot of promise from the pictures.

Great location tucked away, really close to the beach. We were informed we couldn’t use the fire on the day we travelled (we had only booked the night before) which was disappointing, but the cabin was warm with the heater on. Walkable into town and there are lots of lovely places to visit. Lots of great walks, including the Cleveland Way. Would love to come back to Saltburn-by-the-Sea.

Absolutely blown away by the Lobster Pot, excellent location right opposite the pub in Saltburn and a two minute walk up to the top of the cliff.. we loved every aspect of it the inside was perfectly transformed to be comfortable stylish and warm. The log burning stove was one of the best features . We will definitely return.

lovely weekend away, this is a hidden gem literally up the road and you're on the beach. log burner with wood provided to keep it nice and toasty. but also has heating if preferred. lovely and cosy inside finish and decoration are lovely. fire pit and outdoor table chairs if you want to sit out. welcome basket with wine and snacks lovely touch. private parking felt very secure. We would definitely return here.

We were disappointed that the rules said not to use the log burner. It also wouldve been nice to have a bin for kitchen waste, a place to dry dishes, and a sponge to clean the dishes with after a couple of days of self catering.

Cute little cabin within a stones throw of the sea front. Pub, fish and chip shops and the pier just two minutes walk away. Was very quiet and peaceful in the cabin even though it’s so close to the sea front. Cabin is exactly as the pictures show. We will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely little shepherd's hut tucked away and ornate, but less than 3 minutes walk from the seafront. Very clean and tidy - it is lovely and bright inside and feels very homely. highly recommended and will be returning.

A beautiful little shepherd's hut a very short walk away from the beach, the pub, and pier. It was cosy and perfect for our short stay. There was an issue with finding the hut, with the post code and map location taking you to the pub, but after a call to the company it was quickly resolved. The call handler did advise its a common issue, so it would be good to have this updated on here. Other than that, a perfect stay.

Loved our 2 night stay at the Lobster Pot. It was the perfect cosy base to explore Saltburn and Redcar from. Great proximity to the beech for post swim shower, and to the pub with beach front outdoor seating. Also very relaxing to return to after a walk and enjoy the little bbq in the sheltered courtyourd area. Really appreciated the easy lock box check in and parking spot too.

The Lobster Pot is a great place to stay for a visit to Saltburn. A super Shepherds Hut that is spacious with its own toilet and shower (a must for the wife). Nice and secluded but only a short walk to the beach and restaurants of Saltburn. Great weather was a bonus. Would have no hesitation in boking again on our next visit to Saltburn by the Sea.

Great location in terms of access to beach. Road closer and louder than expected. Everything needed for a short stay but property hasn’t been cleaned, bedding and towels hasn’t been changed, etc. when we arrived (after check in time) which left a negative impression and caused a 2 hour delay to check in. Having only booked one night, this noticeably reduced our time there.

Location was in a great spot close to the sea , nice pub and just few steps away from the pier and easy walk ( lots of steps!) if you like some exercises to town centre. The Lobster Pot is a wonderful gem of a retreat. It was just like the photos, clean, cosy and warm. It was ideal for a short stay, with everything i needed including good wifi. The beach is a stones throw away as is the Ship Inn. I am a mature person and travelled alone but felt safe and secure tucked away in the grounds of a private property. I would highly recommend The Lobster Pot and its beautiful location. I appreciated the thoughful gifts of wine, snacks local information, tea, coffe etc. I didnt have time to explore the picturesque walks, other than the beach but next time hopefully I will. I intend to visit again. Very relaxing.

Beautiful little Shepherds Hut in Saltburn. Within short walking distance to the town centre but right next to the Cleveland Way for those of us planning on walking. The Lobster Pot is a cosy and pleasant place to spend a few nights while exploring nearby towns along the coast. Perfect location close to the beach, just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Saltburn, and close to bus services to Staithes and Whitby. This is a really well kitted out cabin that was very clean with lovely fixtures and fittings. It’s in a great location in strolling distance of the Cleveland way and Saltburn. We were however disappointed to find instructions asking us not to use the log burner in the guest book when it was a major draw for us and highlighted in the listing. We found the cabin very cold on arrival and it took the little electric heater several hours to get it to a temperature where we could take our coats off! The bathroom was freezing the whole time. There was also no hot water in the kitchenette or bathroom while we were there (although the hosts were responsive about getting it sorted for the next folks). And we were only there one night so it wasn’t a big issue. There was hot water available in the electric shower. We were offered a late check out for the inconvenience, but after passing a very chilly evening we declined it.

What a perfect place for a relaxing break away from normal life. Car parked up , walked everywhere because of the brilliant location. The shepherds hut was so warm and cosy and much better than I had anticipated- absolutely 5 ⭐️ The communications and hospitality of the host Sony was the icing on the cake 🎂

Staying at the Lobster Pot was a complete delight I had the option to stay at a local hotel but really didn't want to face the loan eating and usual hotel procedures The amenities listed on the digital handbook or mirrored what was an offer everything worked and it even more special was that everything was pristine and clean. The Lobster Pot offered me a warm comfortable environment two minutes away from the ship pub which serve fantastic food and I also tried a few beers I would love to come back and stay here again and would highly recommend to anybody visiting the local area, walking the headland is a must as it's so beautiful.

Non refundable £25 damage fee you have to pay, surprised with this once you have booked. Non refundable. You choose £250 damage fee which they refund you back £240 within 14 days or £25 no refund just incase you damage something. No choice as property is non refundable. Put me and many other guests off the property. Other than this huge negative, Nice welcome post card and some chocolate wafers and milk. Clean bedding. Comfy bed. Shower works well and hot water supply good. Nice and quiet. No bin bags in any of the bins. Need clearer instructions on finding property. Did not appreciate the constant messages to pay for the damage waiver and then once I did pay I still got messages about if you do damage anything call us.

A wonderful hide away perfect for a couples getaway and/or for anyone that surfs! Less than 30 seconds away from the beautiful salt burn beach. The lobster pot was clean and well kept. I would recommend it highly, my boyfriend and I thought it was a lovely space to stay. Only issues was the £50 cleaning fee for only one night and £25 non refundable deposit or £250 refundable one - absolutely excessive for such a tiny space and short stays
