Location was great, very short walk down to the hussel & bussel of the shops, bars, restaurants & bridge to the Abbey. Clean apartment, comfortable beds, plenty space, everything you need to hand. I would highly recommend & would definitely stay again.

A few reviews have mentioned the stairs up to the apartment. This would be an issue for less mobile people, but we didn't find it a problem. Also due to low ceilings & beams, wouldn't be suitable for tall folk, we didn't have an issue there either.

Perfect location

The only thing I would say is the main door was a little difficult to get in . Also the handle on the shower was hard to turn on and off . Didn’t spoil our stay though.

Comfortable accommodation and ideal for what we needed ,would book again but maybe on a lower floor the stairs are a bit of a challenge with a case but doable elderly and toddlers might struggle though
Can park outside to drop off but hit or miss if there's a space I did a trip round the block and managed second attempt it's a 1 hour limit and then parked in the main carparks 10 minutes walk

The apartment was clean

For 1.5 hour I couldn’t get into the apartment as the there isn’t a full explanation of how to operate the locks and calling the assistance through booking.com didn’t seem to know how to deal with the problem. To enter the apartment you need to dial the code number given plus * symbol!!! Also additional 73 pounds were withdrawn from my card and I’m waiting for the expiration

Great location, theres a not bad priced parking spot a 2 minute walk away. Quite cosy! There’s skylight windows and sometimes seagulls land on it and it makes a cute photo

Not for older people as my grandmother couldn’t handle the many flights of stairs we weren’t aware of! Also not for tall people as my partner kept banging his head.

Comfortable beds. Clean spacious bathroom. Lounge and kitchen adequate.

50 steps up to the apartment. Only 1 hand towel for 3 people for 3 nights. 1 bath towel per person for 3 nights. Shower was quite hard to understand and stiff to turn knobs.

Location to nearby shops/pubs was amazing . car park nearby . we stayed for our mates wedding at sneaton castle and was only 4min taxi journey .

rooms a little dirty in corners with dust etc . also bathroom especially shower looked as if it had not been cleaned. a lot of stairs and very low ceilings , we all hit our heads several times lol .

well located in the middle of the town. low ceiling was tough with someone at 6 foot 5. sheets and walls hd a few stains but nothing that put us off. overall decent stay at a decent place

The location was good.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The stairs which we weren't aware of at the time of booking were really bad for us as one of us are with limited mobility. We would never had booked if they had stated that there were lots of steep stairs. This is a attic apartment so very low ceilings. That said it was a lovely apartment but I just wished they had been honest about the type of apartment it is so people with bad mobility wouldn't book. I'm sure for the young and fit they would love it so no need to con people by not advertising it properly

Great place, but disappointed with so many stairs to climb to get into the apartment.
The lamp in the small bedroom broken, the previous tenant also mentioned this; the grout in the tiles was black with mould; lot of dirt on floor behind both sink units; only 1 toilet roll for 4 people all weekend;

There were lots of stairs up to our apartment!
A dining table would be better than a coffee table, we stayed for 3 nights so would have been better to have somewhere to sit while eating

So, bit of an issue getting in due to problem with the flat's door- very much 'one of those things' out of everyone's control. What the host company did was to sort the situation quickly and helpfully - we ended up in the (superior, though I'm sure ours would have been lovely) lower floor flat which was perfect. Location excellent, great overall experience - would very happily go back.

The apartment was great and very near the centre of Whitby
Getting into the main door and the apartment itself was very easy and we did like the fact that it was all on codes so no keys to worry about
Once in, the quality of the apartment was much better than most and done to a high quality finish
Lots of space and well laid out with everything we needed

Cost - we weren't happy at all that once we had booked what we agreed was a fair price, and paid that immediately, we received an email and found out that a £250 (damages) deposit was required. What is really annoying is the 'drip pricing' tactic of then informing us that £10 was non-refundable for an administration fee by a company called 'Superhog' - absolutely shocking!
Cleanliness - we found toothpaste on the sink and taps and even a huge bogey stuck on the side of one of the sinks; disgusting. There was, what looked like, sugar on the couch and the side tables still had sticky ring marks on them. In the cupboards was a small bowl and a mug that looked like they hadn't been washed ever; not what we expect when we pay good money for a service
Size of Bed - I'm only 5'8" and my wife is 4'8" but we still found the bed to be very small
Faulty Bedside light - when I tried my light, it started to flicker and when I moved the cable it went off. Moving the cable again it came on and then off; obvioulsy a loose connection somewhere and does provide a risk of an electrical shock!

Only cleaned to a very basic level. Turned fan on and it blew dust all over room and clothes, lots of cobwebs and hair on floor.

Beds were uncomfortable. Property is an attic apartment (noted in the listing). Lots of stairs. Late check in of 4pm and early check out of 10a would make a one night stay a very bad value.

Location very handy for show I was working at. Also very tastefully furnished and appointed.

Was on third floor - not normally a problem, but as my companion couldn't come after all, I had to carry some quite heavy luggage up three flights myself. Didn't know this when I booked.

Easy chenck in, easy check out. The appartment was clean and there was nothing to complain about.

As a person who is 194 cm tall, the appartment was a bit to little. But gor me this was just berng picky. The first night was horribly cold. But I just had to fihure out the heating system, then it all was back to comfort.

The location of the apartment was the main thing we liked. Easy walking distance to shops and restaurants made the stay really enjoyable. The apartment was really comfortable.

We missed having a dining table in the apartment. The storage cupboards in the living area were also cluttered and disorganised. When I removed the bin bag from the bin there were loose pieces of onion inside from previous occupants…the cleaning service could be a bit more thorough. Also, the shower was really stiff to turn on.

It would be better if there was a dining table and chairs in the apartment. Oven would be essential too. Low ceiling definitely not for everyone. For us was ok.

Lovely apartment in good location, great bathroom, decor throughout really nice, lovely touch with spotlights around the cabinets.

Would have liked an oven & grill (only a hob) We do eat out most of the time when on holiday but like to have a bacon butty of a morning, grilled not fried & occasionally buy a pizza or pie from the shop to cook for tea.
Had problems getting into the apartment a few times from outside with the keypad, reported it & was sorted mostly. Lot of steps to climb as on the top floor, might be a problem for some

Great location - very central for tourist activities with car parking nearby. Some street noise but quietens down after midnight.
