Lovely well appointed apartment with parking included and short walk to town. Wifi and netflix available. Great shower.

Only one hand towel.
Bit dusty/cobwebs in places.
Not much room for getting in and out of the shower cubicle. Plenty room once in the shower.

We stayed at The Hampton for a few days over half term. Location-wise it was excellent. Easy to find and walkable I to Whitby centre. Ideally located to drive north or south along the coast. The place was spotless, very cosy and had all the amenities. Very modernly decorated and really comfy beds. Highly recommend

The house was clean but missed the final details as in both bedroom have lovely low light fixtures but both were very dusty and there were cobwebs from light fixtures to corners of rooms in both bedrooms. Nice apartment but lack of towels and only one shower gel package was disappointing .would not say book but please owner think about skirting boards etc….

I Liked everything about the stay place was great . Whitby is great . Only annoyance for me was after I booked and paid was sent a link outside of Airbnb to pay for insurance £25 not returnable or leave a £250 deposit which would be returned minus £10 admin within 28 days. Maybe I should have read more details but I did not expect to pay for something outside of Airbnb on an external link. I only tell you this in review so you can take heed of extra charges which were not apparent to me. Beyond that We had a great time in a great place In a great Location. A credit to the cleaners as the place was spotless.

The location was great for walking into Whitby. About a 15 minute walk. The apartment was very nice with quality furnishings. We stayed as a family of 4 including 2 children. There was plenty of room.

We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom. It was in need of a deep clean.
The bath towels were very thin and could do with replacing. The kitchen was good, it was lacking a chopping board. I have reported these things to Host & Stay.

Lounge furniture insufficient for 4 ppl, very uncomfortable chair and way too small. 1 toilet role, one very small body wash sachet for the shower, no hand wash. This was advertised as inclusive. Rear outside seating not private, grubby and covered in bird poo.

Very comfy beds, good kitchen and bathroom.

Bedroom very tight for space, didn’t rate basket in wardrobe to use as drawers.
Would have preferred 2 keys to the property instead of fiddling with the key box every time.

The apartment was so clean, great parking space. There are three spaces each with the name of the apartment your in so you always have one. Easy walking distance to the harbour, restaurants, museum and gardens.

We were in the madison where it got a little hot at night. No windows just large patio doors which can't be left open at night. But not a major issue.

Lovely place to stay ! Lovely area and the perfect place to stay , 5 min walk from the town centre ! Lovely comfy beds , a washer/dryer and dishwasher!! Which was an essential for us , such a cosy welcoming place to stay , we stayed for a week and had an amazing time ,They even have an outdoor seating area specifically for guests at the hampton , perfect for summer nights ! We had a beautiful stay at the hampton Thankyou very very much !

Location was a little disappointing. We had to take the car into the Town Centre car park as 3 of our party could not have managed the walk back up to the Apartment. Too late we found that there were a number of buses which went from near the Apartment down to the central area.

Some road noises. The shower floor was cracked and leaked badly. Hated that they demanded we pay an extra £25 insurance surcharge was not mentioned at the time of booking feel slightly ripped off should be covered in booking cost. Also the TV remote needs fixing it was shock

Attractive property, easy reach to town.

Cracked shower tray that management knew about which leaked serious amounts of water onto floor and a totally blocked toilet on our arrival which took 24 hours to sort.
Shower tray needed replacement, as management knew, yet they thought it acceptable to still rent out the property. Had to resort to laying towels all around tray to stem water flow.

Nice location , nice layout

Location was good but on a busy road so we had to sleep in the rear bedroom. Unfortunately on arrival host and stay (the company used by the hosts / booking.com would not give me the access code until i made a further payment of £25 to cover insurance. Despite already confirming full payment in advance!! After a 4 hour drive i was being forced to make a further payment but was told its refundable. I'm still waiting. Despite numerous phone calls and emails nobody is calling me back or replying so I'm still chasing!! if it says host and stay DONT BOOK IT

Good location, clean, nicely decorated

Parking was difficult when all 3 apartments were booked as you are entering the property from a main road with the dropped curb only covering part of the driveway. Pulling on to the driveway (cant reverse on as the road is to busy) meant reversing off onto a main road which was dangerous. Hot tap on sink was loose, left hand shower handle was very stiff and needed force to turn on and off (been highlighted before by other guests) bed at the front of the property was awful and we had to move to the other bed as the mattress felt very used and very uncomfortable and squeaked at the slightest movement (previous reviews have highlighted this last year). Key to the front door was difficult at times to unlock as the lock needed some wd40. The sofa looked lovely, but so uncomfortable. Kitchen was lovely but no workspace to prepare food. Also be aware that once you have paid for the property the refundable damage payment there is a deduction of £10 on return for admin

The property wasn't very suitable for our young family. A lot of stairs and further stairs within the property. Was a bit of a safety issue for 11 month old crawler and 2 and half year old toddler. On reflection a single level property would have been perfect.

Because if life gets a little tramatic and it turns out you cannot go, they will rob you blind and steel your money. The toilet was dirty. The tea towel was dirty.
No cleaning products and no toiletries and not even hand-wash in the bathroom. We had to go out and buy these products ourselves. And clean the apartment ourselves as we didn't feel comfortable high standard of cleaning was met.
Also, there was a dirty mark on the rug.

The king size bed mattress needs replacing. The bed was comfortable but the springs made an awful noise when you turned or moved.
Some more utensil’s would be helpful such as tongs.

Good location, close to town centre, harbour etc. The apartment is a large space with a good kitchen, a large sitting room, and a good-sized dining table. The car parking right outside is great, and the outside seating area is a nice bonus.

There is no storage space in the bathroom apart from a tiny glass shelf. If you put your wash bag on here, there is nowhere to put any contents, other than the floor. There was also quite a bit of mould on the shower silicone around the bottom, and it leaked badly onto the bathroom floor. As this apartment sleeps 4, the space to store cosmetics and toiletries was an issue as anything on the floor ended up wet.

Lovely little apartment within walking distance in to Whitby town (bit of a hill, but keeps you fit!). Great communication from Host & Stay, you get your own little digital guidebook which was super handy for our holiday! Even better that there was parking on site. For the price I would expect a bit more of a comfy bed and maybe some instructions on how to work the cooker and hob. The small bin in the toilet hadn’t been emptied from previous tenants and one of our towels was frayed.

Nice spacious property. Clean throughout. Bed linen & towels provided. Small selection of complimentary toiletries in the shower room. Good location to walk from, down the hill into Whitby, approx 15/20 minutes. Parking onsite is always a bonus. Would stay again.

We had a relaxing stay in this beautiful apartment. Everything was in pristine condition and the pros included very comfortable beds, free parking and a pretty and private sitting area outside, which caught the afternoon and evening sun. Cons were some noise from the adjoining apartments (not too annoying) and the steep walk back up the hill from town. Kept us fit though!

Overall this is a great little apartment, in a very convenient location in walking distance to the town. However the road is very busy, and there is traffic noise in the morning. The accommodation is comfortable and very clean, but does lack any storage space in the kitchen for your own items of food etc. The appliances are excellent, and all well maintained. The rooms are all decorated very tastefully, and to a good standard. We had a nice stay here and would recommend to others for a short break in Whitby!

The steps and driveway and steps going was thick with ice and was a dangerous hazard and we nearly had few accidents due to no salt or grit put down from who ever looks after the property also double bed in main bedroom was broken so we had to sleep in spare room .

The property is well located and a short walk into Whitby (although down a steep hill). Good parking; clean; warm (heating easy to control). The kitchen and lounge areas were comfortable and attractive.

We stayed in the Madison and the bedrooms were tiny -in larger bedroom on one side there was only maybe 30cm between wall and bed, The only place for clothes storage in the main bedroom was a wardrobe with 6 hangars (for two people) and one shelf at the bottom under which was a basket which was difficult to access (because of space) - no drawers at all. The boiler is also in this room. The other bedroom is even smaller and i cannot see how two people could be accommodated in there (it only has a single wardrobe). The only place to put toileteries in the bathroom was a shelf approx 35cm x 15cm - for four people!

The decoration and overall layout of the apartment was beautiful. Everything was spotless and we were really happy to find we had everything we needed like utensils, tea, coffee, milk etc. The apartment felt like a home away from home and that’s exactly what we were looking for. Location was perfect and only a 10 minute walk right into the center and the pier. Overall, was just amazing :)

The bed in the main bedroom was squeaky which did wake us up a few times in the night but because we went as a couple, we had the option to sleep in the second bedroom. Probably could do with the bed frame replacing but didn’t hinder our experience. Only other thing to touch on is that the water pressure for the hot tap in the bath wasn’t great compared to the shower and kitchen tap but again it’s just to note and didn’t worsen our time there at all.

Easy access, welcome pack, information folder, large beds, bed linen, WiFi , space - particularly outside space. Well signed designated parking. Quick response to problems.

The shower looked good walk in and with hand held and deluge head. Unfortunately the switch button was faulty and we were unable to shower. This was partially rectified after being reported but hand set still didn’t function. Toilet seat fixings broken and seat insecure.

- Terrasse hinter dem Haus.
- Nahe Stadtzentrum (ca. 10 min Fußweg).

- Wohnküche war innen gelegen. Tageslicht kam nur durch die Haustüre rein.
- Die Ferienwohnung liegt an einer stark befahrenen Straße.
- Die Toilette war nicht sauber.
- Das Geschirr haben wir bei Ankunft erst mal komplett in die Spülmaschine gestellt.

The style of the property was exquisite. All facilities were available. Great location. Car parking was a bonus and did not move all weekend. Lovely little touches with free coffee, tea, sugar, milk etc.

I am being very picky here and these did not affect our stay at all but could easily be rectified for the next customers. The slats at the bottom of the bed we’re not in properly and there were stains on the covers. Also for the style of the property the little touches such as the toilet bin and brush holder were rusty and old. Check out at 10 was a little early and another half an hour to an hour would have been nice.

Beautifully appointed apartment with everything thought about for a short stay. Perfect location and efficient communication with the owners.

The mattresses in both bedrooms are very uncomfortable with cheap springs. such a shame for an expensive looking apartment and pricey stay. Outdoor lighting also couldn’t be switched off and bathroom is getting a bit grubby for the cost - the shower heads and grouting should be immaculate.

I booked this for my work colleagues and they spoke very highly of the accommodation and hosts, i have also re - booked it for them to stay again and will do so in the future

The apartment is exactly as seen on the website. It is spacious, clean and well located. The bedrooms are carefully dressed and the beds comfy. At night, when you're in the bedrooms you can hear people talking and walking around in the other apartments. However it's not loud, more like being able to hear people in a neighbouring hotel room. The outside seating area is lovely and it's great to have a parking space. We had a great visit to Whitby and the surrounding area. It's a short walk to the beach and town centre - 20 mins - with some hilly bits. We would recommend Pizza West, fantastic food and wine. It maybe best to book in advance of your visit as we struggled to get a table.
The kitchen in the apartment has everything thing you need. Unfortunately we did have a serious problem with the fridge. After a few days we realised our milk had gone off prematurely. We then wondered why our fruit hadn't lasted anywhere near as long as we would expect. We had a fridge thermometer in our camper van and we established that the fridge was running at an unsafe temperature which explained why our food was going off long before the dates on the packets. This included gifts we had bought (Yorkshire cheese and Kippers - if you're a kipper fan check out Fortune's kippers). We were lucky not to be ill and we had to throw the rest of our fridge food away because we knew it may not be safe to eat. We reported this to the hosting company suggesting it needed to be fixed before anyone else stayed there. They acknowledged our concern and said they would tell the owner but we weren't sure they really understood just how dangerous this could have been. We feel we must mention it so future guests can take more care if they wish and hopefully the hosts will be able to reassure guests that it is definitely sorted out.
The instructions for arrival all worked well and there was a constant stream of texts and email messages from the management company. When everything was going well this was fine. When we had a problem with the fridge it was a bit trickier. It wasn't the same person consistently responding to our messages. This meant that whilst responses were quick it felt as if there was no thread to the conversation. It was as if each person replying just responded to the previous message and hadn't necessarily read the thread of messages. Communication felt rather impersonal and as if some responses were from a script. I suspect we wouldn't have noticed or been bothered by this if we hadn't had a problem.
We have given value for money a low rating. This is because when we visited there were a few things wrong with the apartment which we would have not expected for the price charged. Each one is minor and not very significant but put altogether with the fridge temperature we started to question the price. They included no tea towels, nowhere to put your soap or shower gel in the shower, no instructions on how to work the shower, induction hob or coffee maker, a rattling bedroom door (it had fallen out of alignment with the frame) whenever people moved around upstairs, an out of date bottle of milk left in the fridge and some slightly dirty crockery. Host and Stay did send 'housekeeping' with tea towels, offered to clean the crockery and said they would tell the owner about the door and the need for somewhere to put soap in the shower so hopefully this will all be okay for future guests.

Location spot on very convenient for Whitby certainly would recommend to others. The walk into Whitby town is not that far but some downhill going & uphill coming back. Our 4 yr old grandchild managed it very well. Very smart & well looked after place. All very new & modern inside & a small patio with garden chairs set out at the back.

Stunning apartment. Spotlessly clean. Everything you could wish for was included. Parking on a private driveway outside the property. 10 minute walk down hill into town, £5 for taxi back. Check in so easy via key safe.

A well-presented two bedroomed apartment which was clean and modern, with good attention to detail and many thoughful touches. Recently renovated, though the sound insulation from the apartment above wasn't great.
The Hampton easily accommodates two cars if parked one behind the other. It is within around five minutes' walk of Whitby town, down a steepish hill, where you can find plenty pubs and cafes, plus the harbour and boat trips, beach, lots of walks, a large Co-op, and plenty of pretty streets for meandering. Whitby has more fish & chip shops than I have ever seen in my life; over 20 at last count!
This apartment served us well for our four nights, while we explored Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay, Saltburn and Scarborough.
The communication and support from Host & Stay was excellent.

First time we have used Airbnb and we now have extremely high expectations as our stay was perfect. The apartments are beautiful, perfect size and the location is fantastic for a short stroll into the heart of Whitby! Highly recommend!

I enjoyed staying at the Hampton. The amenities were top-notch the cable TV was wonderful and the internet Wi-Fi was really strong. All the appliances were new and the bed was very comfortable. I do recommend staying at the Hampton.

The apartment was beautiful & spotlessly clean. It's in a prefect location, only 5 minutes walk from the centre of whitby but quiet in the evening. Towels are provided as well as miniatures in the bathroom & there was even a pint of milk left in the fridge for us which was such a lovely touch. Having a dedicated parking space was fantastic. We loved it.

If you could have done something about the rain on our first day that would have been brill. I honestly can't fault anything at all.

Lovely apartment. Clean. Well appointed. Bit small for four in living area. Bedrooms good size. Good parking off road. 10 minute walk to town and fairly steep on return! Small garden would be nice in good weather. Good insulation from a heating and noise point of view. Overall a comfortable apartment in reasonable distance from centre.

The apartment was wonderful and clean. Great location. The only disappointment was the WiFi, which was really slow and kept dropping. For some reason we couldn’t get a strong cell phone signal either.
We needed to get a few things done using the internet and it was really frustrating.

The Hampton is so beautifully decorated and very stylish. It has everything you need for a short stay, even things I didn’t know were included like cleaning/washing up items etc. The communication before hand was excellent and the check in incredibly Simple. The parking is great too. Lovely walk down into town... be prepared for the walk back up the hill!! Highly recommend!

A great experience. The property was very clean and easy to find and in a great place to walk down to the main town..

Internet not quick but diffident to do basic browsing.. We didn’t use the car whilst there as no need as everything in walking distance..

Great service from the organisers as I needed to report a broken glass and a couple of their things.. Response and replies was excellent and very quick..

Absolutely gorgeous flat within a 10 minute walk of the beach. Clean, fresh and new, would recommend to anyone who wants to explore Whitby/ the North Yorkshire coastline!
