We had a great stay here and would stay again. The parking area was good and instructions for the key easy to follow. It is comfortable and quiet, but near the Castle, Gardens, Barter Books, restaurants, bars and shops. It had all the facilites and appliances that we needed for a relaxing stay. There is a folder with all the manuals in if needed for the appliances, eg induction hob. We stayed during the heatwave and all the windows can be opened to let the breeze in. The shower is good, but water does stand on the window ledge, but soon dried in the hot weather. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The apartment is on the second floor and helped with our fitness regime, but some people may need to take this into account. The communication with the host was very good and he replied very quickly. Thanks again for a great stay!

Studio No.8 was the perfect base for our stay. Clean and tidy, with everything we needed to feel at home. A short walk to the town and there are plenty of options for eating out. The private parking space is a great addition too. We very much hope to stay again in the future.

Loved the location, very close to Alnwick town, lots of pubs/bars (Ale Gate a favourite!) nearby, and especially great for Barter Books which was a huge plus point for us. The castle was easy to walk to and it meant we didn't have to worry too much about parking. Was also great to have a dedicated, covered car park space for us. The flat on the whole was nice, good size, bathroom and kitchen were nice. Unfortunately, on arrival we noticed how incredibly uncomfortable both beds were, with springs protruding from the mattresses. I messaged Host and Stay and credit to them they got back to us straight away. They ordered mattress toppers right away (though we did have to suggest this!) which were delivered the next day, and these really did help. Though it may be a suggestion to invest in some new mattresses? Also, almost every kitchen item had to be handwashed/put through dishwasher before we could use them due to food stains etc. Sadly, the place just lacked a bit of care.

Well situated close to the town centre, Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Also ideal area to explore Northumberland. Flat was clean and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The only criticisms are that the fridge didn’t close or stay shut properly unless it was forced, and the mattress was very soft and not the most comfortable.

Lovely apartment and we would stay again if it were not for the tv which did not work at all when we arrived, and still did not work properly during our three day stay and we are still waiting for compensation. We were also totally ripped off paying £40 to check in 2.5hrs early (at 1.30pm). I would not recommend using Host and Stay! Had we realised there was a third party involved re this apartment we may have thought again. It was a lovely apartment but the failure to provide any tv instructions and the failure of the owner to provide any was absolutely shocking. There was also a very misleading WIFI code, and the £40 fee was the last straw!

Studio 8 was spotlessly clean with excellent amenities. It was within walking distance of the town centre and a great base for exploring the wider area. Would not hesitate to recommend.

the flat is nice and well equipped. The fridge, however, is rather small and not well sealed so froze most of the food. the shower head is fixed so cannot be adjusted. being on the second floor would mean you are best being a light packer as it was quite difficult to carry suitcases through so many flights of stairs. overall, an enjoyable stay and great location to town and public transport.

Overall enjoyable stay. Up two flights of stairs though so worth considering this if you have any mobility issues. Quiet of an evening. Alnwick centre was easily walkable as was a supermarket (Lidl). Apartment was clean and modern so no complaints.

This is a great flat in a brilliant location. Lots of great pubs and restaurants - all walkable. Also a good location to explore. We managed Holy Island, Hadrian’s Wall and Newcastle city centre.

The apartment was nice, clean and well located. But the washing machine and dishwasher were not working for our longer stay which was annoying and inconvenient. Both had been broken for some time and despite frequent messages nothing was rectified. We found Host&Stay were quick to send messages, often in the middle of the night, but took no action to sort the problems out. The washing machine was broken for at least two weeks before we arrived, and the inside of the dishwasher was mouldy - so these were not new issues. I do not think I could recommend Host&Stay, which is disappointing as the apartment itself was lovely just let down by poor maintenance.
