Lovely house which is well equipped with everything you would need. Great location but DO NOT BOOK if you need guaranteed parking. Despite the advert saying you get space for one car this is incorrect. There are 5 spaces for 5 properties and a complete free for fall. Upon arrival a car was parked in the space allocated to our house and was only next doors parking space available which we could use. We called the host and they weren’t very helpful and told us to park in next doors space. Another car then ended up blocking our car in. With an elderly guest and a young infant we booked this house for the parking. There is a parking a 10 minute walk away so if you aren’t fussed about needing parking then definitely recommend.

The cottage was tucked in an old factory yard that had been beautifully restored. This meant that it was quiet and peaceful. The parking space was a godsend for the week and the centre of the action a 10 minute walk. The house was beautiful with all needs met. The attic room was remarkable and the bath very well used by me! We will be returning next year and the only place since visiting Whitby that we will return to for a second stay.

Stayed for a few days during the summer and we were very impressed with Soda Cottage. The house was very clean and modern and with 4 bedrooms and a nice patio space outside, there was more than enough room for 4 guests and 2 dogs. It is less than 10 minutes walk from the town centre, with all the attractions and amenities that Whitby has been to offer. We would definitely recommend.

Six of us had a lovely stay at Soda Cottage. It was in an excellent location for visiting Whitby, only 10 minutes walk to the harbour.The upstairs master bedroom was beautiful and we enjoyed having a secure garden/patio for our 2 dogs. It was great to be able to park up our vehicle and leave it there till we were leaving.

Lovely spacious property for our family of 4 - very well equipped and clean. Convenient with parking including and walkable within 5-10 minutes to Whitby centre but far enough so it is quiet at night. Very well presented easily the most clean , comfortable place we have stayed in Whitby will definitely return. Provided everything we needed and more . Thank you!

A lovely house in a fabulous location and with the added bonus of a parking space - which you don't realise until you get to Whitby is quite a perk. We really enjoyed being a little out of the town but close enough to walk in easily. The house was well thought out with personal touches. We appreciated having more cups and plates than the number of guests. The one feature that really stood out for me was the bed in the master bedroom. It is the most comfortable bed I have ever stayed in. Despite the gulls, I slept so well in the master bedroom.

No news is good news. This cottage was perfect for us. Close enough to be walkable and accessible to Whitby but far enough to be peaceful. The instructions were super clear and we didn't have to contact the host once. Super lovely bath and linen too. Will definitely visit here again.

Great communication before our stay , very fast replies and helpful. Perfect spacious property with all the utensils you could need ! Great location and easy to find. A lovely touch with a bottle of wine & chocolates on our arrival, would definitely recommend to anyone.

We booked Soda Cottage even though there was a few negative reviews, how wrong were they. House was lovely, spotlessy clean and in a great location. A five minute walk to the Bridge in Whitby which led to all the shops, restaurants and cafes. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you required, pans, dishes, plates, crockery, glasses. Dishwasher, washing machine and double oven. Bedrooms were spotlessly clean with crisp white linen andcplenty of fresh towels. Would i recommend Soda Cottage, yes we certainly would and would happily return.

A beautiful spacious property providing convenient parking, within easy walking distance of the main attractions. The master bedroom provides a luxurious extra-large bath, the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen is nice and modern, and as we had nice weather the private seating area outside was great to have. It ticked everything on our wish list, enabling us to enjoy our anniversary in Whitby. We would be very happy to stay here again. Thank you :)

The house is lovely and a good location. The highlight being the master suite, which is gorgeous. Disappointingly though, we arrived to find a kitchen tap that was continuously running and someone parked in our space. We notified Host & Stay immediately through the AirBnB app but they took 2 days to respond. We also reported a high pitched noise with the boiler every time the toilets were flushed or taps ran. They responded to say the problems would be raised immediately with their maintenance team but we left with none of the issues having been fixed. Unlike other places we have stayed there was no sugar or milk provided. The cleaning could have been better - mess in the backyard and greasy doors on the ovens. Good place for a couple or 2 parents with children but be aware there is only wardrobes in the master suite. Only one of the other 3 bedrooms has a clothes rail.

We had a wonderful stay at Soda Cottage. The location was great, just a short walk into the town and local amenities. The accommodation was perfect, lovely rooms, great kitchen and breakfast bar area. It was really peaceful and relaxing. Would definitely recommend we had a great time there.

absolutely perfect spot for our stay. we didn't want to be right in the centre but also not too far away that we couldn't walk in. the back yard is the perfect sun trap for just chilling out and listening to the birds. we had a lovely stay and will definitely be recommending it to other and will happily stay again.

Wonderful stay at Soda Cottage, the property was beautiful and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need to cook a meal or even a snack, do your washing or even to use the dish washer. It was a short walk to the harbour and all the attractions, which meant 2 of the group who where getting on in age managed the walk, with help from their strollers. The only thing I would say is...if your in the winter of your lives and need aids to help with getting in/out the shower which is over a bath on the 1st floor, then please take a suction grip handle as a support. The very large bedroom on the top floor is amazing, its bright and airy and, it hosts a fabulous large bath in the room, there is a walk-in shower too if needed unfortunately, the two oldies couldn't manage to get up there. The chippy which was very close by to our accomodation was amazing. All in all, great accomodation and a great location. Thanks Dale and Charlie 😁

Soda Cottage was perfect, we got a lovely welcome bottle of wine and a large milk with tea and coffee which was lovely as I'd forgot milk. All rooms spotless and the attic bed was so comfortable after the fabulous bath. kitchen had everything ypu need and outside area perfect for breakfast and enclosed for the dog too. Lovely sofas to relax on. So close to all amenities. Hadleys fish and chips is fab and all the lovely tea shops. The beaches have such great seaglass and fossils for crafting, we got so much to make some fab jewellery and other crafts. Definitely stay again at this lovely cottage it was such a nice place. Thank you ☺️

We had a lovely stay at this house. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, which made cooking really convenient. It’s in a great location, close to town, which was a big plus. Just a heads up—parking is only available for one car, and nearby parking can be quite expensive. Although the place was available, the hosts didn’t allow us to arrive even an hour early without an extra charge, which was a bit disappointing as we were traveling with two young babies and an earlier check-in would’ve been a huge help. The cleanliness wasn’t quite up to expectations—we found dirty towels and socks left in one of the bedrooms, which was off-putting. Also, the floorboards were incredibly noisy—something to consider if you have light-sleeping children. Overall, it’s a charming place with potential, but there are a few things guests should be aware of

When we arrived for a special weekend away, we were met with an uncleared house. Dirty dishes, bedding, unclean surfaces and spit and toothpaste in sink, unclean toilets. This ruined the day, it was already a late check in at 4pm and then we had to go out with my mother who is old and wanted a lie down. She burst into tears when seeing the unclean house and this tainted the whole stay. The cleaners arrived and did a quick clean so we could get in at around 6pm, but by then after unpacking were unable to go out for dinner where we had planned due to the time. The house was listed with a parking space, which it does but unfortunately other houses in the courtyard were using it, as was the cleaner who wasn’t even parking in the space of the house she was cleaning. The owners could easily fix this by having cctv, fines in place for parking in incorrect spaces. I only booked somewhere with parking as my mum can’t walk far. The house is nice and a good location though, but I’m unhappy.

This house is absolutely beautiful, it has everything you need for a lovely stay. It’s in a perfect location for Whitby, infact we never moved our car all weekend. Would just say if you have more than one car there is only one car parking space - we booked to park the other car on someone’s drive ( through just park app) nearby which was fine. Little tricky to find we turned down the wrong road first time, make sure you go under the arch not the narrow road the sat nav takes you! Would definitely stay here again!!!!

Really lovely accommodation. Good sized bedrooms and perfectly clean. A reasonable walk to Whitby centre and a fish and chip shop 2 mins away. My only criticism was that it was missing basics like bin bags, washing up liquid and there were no toiletries. There’s salt and pepper and that’s about it! Would definitely stay again though.

All the guests enjoyed their stay and the house was furnished beautifully. We didn,t use any kitchen appliances except the kettle and toaster and It was very well equipped. The bedrooms/bathrooms were spotless, however in the double bedroom on first floor, there was dust behind bedside table (found after retrieving something that had fell behind) and a dirty cushion cover on the top floor bed. It is situated a reasonable distance to walk into town. We would definitely stay again and also recommend it to friends/ family. The only other negative, were the squeaky stairs, especially when creaping up or down, trying not to disturb anyone! Plenty of lovely memories were maid, thankyou 😊

The photographs do not give justice to this cottage. It was larger than we were expecting and beautifully set out. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay. The property was easy to find and the private parking space within the courtyard was invaluable. We were attending the Whitby 60’s weekend and were able to walk to the pavilion with ease and has access to all of the towns main attractions. A very short drive to Sainsbury’s and the surrounding countryside. We would recommend this property without hesitation

Returned home from Soda Cottage today and miss it already. It’s a beautiful property in a quiet courtyard development about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Whitby. Loved our stay, met the whole family’s needs. Great location. Private parking. Would definitely stay again when we get the chance 😃

Lovely house, really enjoyed our stay. Everything you could need is provided. Easy walking distance to the town and having parking is a great bonus. The patio garden is secure for dogs but there is no grass so you need to take a walk when they need a wee. Would highly recommend Soda Cottage.

Just had a wonderful family weekend in this first class accommodation. The house is lovely, bright and airy. Bedrooms are beautiful, clean and with crisp white linen and towels, are very comfortable. Lovely big bathrooms with great showers. Gorgeous kitchen and lovely, comfortable lounge area. The outside seating area is a great sun trap. All finished off with some lovely homely touches like the beautiful lamps and mirrors. I would highly recommend Soda Cottage to anyone.

Excellent location and beautiful, spacious property with everything you need. Walkable to the quieter side of Whitby town, with everything you need in walkable distance. No problems with parking, we brought two cars and paid for 4 days parking with the Whitby tourist information for one of the cars. Everything was ten out of ten although the one small thing that did let it down was the WiFi, it wasn’t very good if you wanted to watch Netflix or prime, or something on a tablet or phone. The tvs worked fine though. Overall a good property and would go back there and recommend for families and people looking to do some walking.
