Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the host communication was clear and helpful throughout our stay. The location was convenient, and everything we needed was provided. Though not a quirky cottage in the cute little old streets of Whitby, this modern apartment has a gorgeous view across the roof tops to Whitby Abbey and is just a 5 minute walk from the heart of Whitby. And, unlike many quirky old cottages, is very quiet and warm, making it the perfect Christmas getaway! Easy parking space is also a massive plus in busy Whitby!

Nice place and great location. Mostly clean except the sofa had lots of stains. My main ‘negative’ is the host saying that I needed to pay a £250 damage deposit upfront, just before the booking. When I explained this requirement was not explicitly referenced on AirBnB upon booking, they apologised for the confusion and said that I did not need to pay. Easily and quickly resolved but not ideal as it caused a bit of stress. However, overall a good experience.

Great location, and bonus having a designated parking space. The apartment was fine and as described however could be improved greatly by a few small things. The sofa was quite badly stained and there are scuff marks on the walls, the windows could also benefit from a clean and it would look so much better!

This should be a home from home as well decorated and good amenities. Large bath towels and comfy bed. Fantastic view of the abbey. It is let down because it is not clean. The shower seal to the bath is filthy and the radiator on the bathroom hasn’t seen a hoover or duster in months. And neither have the blinds. The carpets also need cleaning. I could have let that go unfortunately worst was to come. The sofa was badly stained and very dirty. I had to take a throw from one of the beds to cover it before we could sit on it. I let Host & stay know and I sent photos of the sofa first thing Tuesday morning, they assured me they would get someone round to clean and would confirm as soon as the could get hold of someone. I am home now and still waiting for the confirmation. Host & Stay leave a card to confirm it’s been cleaned saying “we hope everything is finished to an excellent standard” no, it isn’t. If your staying say hello to the dead spider on a cobweb behind the table

Great little bolt hole close to centre. Some wear and tear when you look closely but overall a lovely place. Would be helpful to know the parking bay number did not match the door number so struggled to find the key lock in bay 8 for door number 3. Otherwise no complaints would defo book again.

Great location, lovely space to stay, very comfortable beds and the outdoor balcony space and view were amazing. Although advertised and stating designated parking space, it wasn’t. Taken by someone else. Permit provided for street parking but disappointed not to park where expected. Easy walk into town, less than 5mins. Everything accessible. Would recommend.

Amazing location! Walking distance to anything you might want in Whitby with an amazing view of the Abbey. The car parking space was super handy- a tight squeeze- but was very very useful. The apartment has everything you need and the beds are super comfy. Would definitely stay again.

Had a fabulous stay in this super apartment which has a lovely balcony with a view looking out at Whitby Abbey. It’s within just a few minutes walk from the Town Centre and it had a private parking space. In fact once we’d parked up we never used the car until it was time to leave. It was exactly as described, with nice decor great amenities and was a great place to use as a base to explore Whitby. Without doubt we’ll use this apartment again next time we visit!

Great place to stay and good value. Only minor issues: the directions from the car park could be a little better - they say turn left and walk up and you'll see the accommodation; actually it needs to be turn left and immediately left again. And, as other people have said, the parking is very tight and if you have a long/wide car it would be very difficult. Having said that I would happily stay there again.

Clean modern flat in superb location. Coffee machine, plus pods, milk & tea bags all provided. Parking not good: took a 320-point-turn to get my Volvo in the allotted space. Building entrance not obvious & parking place even more hidden. This could be clearer. After booking, they demand more money, either for breakage insurance or a refundable deposit, without having made this clear in the blurb beforehand. They then take - after the rental ends - 14 days to return one’s cash (£200 in July 2024). Why - in this digital banking age? By then they have had a free 4 week loan & yet are still mercenary enough to charge a £10 “admin fee”. Once in the flat you are bombarded with warnings, by text & by email, regarding the consequences of either late exit or damage to their property. Not relaxing. You are also required to empty your own bins. Down three flights of stairs. But fab balcony & I did enjoy having a go of a Nespresso.

Just arrived home from a wonderful stay. Host and stay were very helpful and responsive throughout the run up to our trip, being very accommodating adding a night to our stay on the day! The apartment itself is beautiful, so clean, and in walkable distance of everything. You really get what you pay for and is 100% worth it. Would highly recommend if you’re looking to stay here.

We book this place for a long weekend away. The place itself is as described. It has a lovely balcony overlooking Whitby and you can even see Whitby abbey from there. Bedrooms were spacious and both had a very comfortable bed. The whole apartment was very well presented, although a little tired in places. Nothing that a lick of paint wouldn't fix. The location is absolutely perfect, its a short 5 minute work into Whitby and the harbour. There is no need to use your car once you arrive, everything is within walking distance. There is a huge park up the hill (next to Whitby museum) that's close to the apartment. Our daughter loved it. This place is ideal for a little family break or couples holiday. We would recommend and would stay here again.

Just returned from a lovely 3 night stay here - the location was ideal for exploring Whitby (5 minute walk to the harbour, great food options and Co-op supermarket) and the surrounding area. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped with everything you’d need for a few days stay - the bed was also one of the comfiest I’ve slept in! I loved the little terrace and the view over Whitby to the abbey, it was a lovely place to sit (weather permitting!) with my morning coffee. There were also some lovely little touches, such as coffee pods and milk sachets in the fridge to get me started. The communication before, during and after my trip was great, the directions and arrival info were clear and I found the digital guidebook, sent before my trip, really handy. Thank you for a very relaxing and hassle free stay in your apartment, I’m already looking forward to my next visit to Whitby!

This is the second time we have stayed in a host & stay holiday let and I can’t fault them, this was a great location literally 2 minutes walk into town the property was very nicely laid out and the beds where super comfy we had everything we needed for a great weekend. We will certainly return here as love the balcony area but a little too cold to sit out this weekend. All in all I can’t fault host & stay no fuss check in and always contactable if any problems need sorting. A+++++

Great property to stay in to explore Whitby. Easy to find and easy to access, parking slightly tight if you have a big car but great to have access to parking. Very close to main town. Property and balcony very quiet. Property tidy and generally clean, could have done with some touch ups on paint and cobwebs removing, windows cleaning etc - but nothing major. High end materials used in property and everything to a good standard. Great to have a handbook of recommendations - we went to many places on the list and loved them. Very comfy beds and amazing shower! We loved our stay here to explore Whitby and surrounding areas. We would absolutely stay here again!

I would avoid staying here again because Host & Stay take a £250 deposit off you for 10 days (we were only there one night) and then charge £10 for doing it! The balcony was filthy when we arrived and as we wanted to use it we had to spend 30 minutes cleaning it.

Great place, perfect location for the centre of Whitby! We did have issues with parking at the place as we were in a transporter van and the parking space has a height restriction but this wasn’t mentioned until we arrived and saw! We were able to park on the street a short walk away with a free parking pass so not the end of the world but we would have gone in another car if we had known!

We stayed at the skyline apartment in Whitby (2 adults and our 9 year old). Apartment was clean, comfortable and very well stocked. The location is great and we were able to walk everywhere, we did not use our car all week. Whitby was super busy and we found finding places to eat a bit of a challenge so I would recommend booking if you like the look of somewhere. We had a takeaway from Passage to India near the train station which we were able to walk back to the apartment before it went cold, and that was lovely.

This apartment is lovely and in a great location with around a 10 min walk to the harbour. The styling of the apartment was gorgeous and has made me want to redecorate my whole house! The view from the balcony was amazing and such a nice added bonus. The only thing for us was that the check in wasn’t until 3pm and check out was at 10am.. it did feel like either check in could have been a little bit earlier or alternatively check out could be at 11 or 11:30. I appreciate that the apartment has to be cleaned between stays but I can’t imagine it takes 5 hours (between 10am and 3pm) to clean. Possibly to do with COVID but that was the only thing that I could provide feed back on as otherwise a really great apartment and a lovely stay!
