The apartment was a described. Very clean, modern, bathroom very good could do with a little freshen up of paint around the door frame otherwise generally well looked after. But perfect for our three night stay. Easy walking to the town especially as I need a new hip . Just a few stairs from the car park to the apartment. All in all a big thumbs up. 👍

Unfortunately, the property we had originally booked became unavailable on the day of our arrival due to a gas leak. This was obviously completely beyond anyone’s control, and we can’t fault Host and Stay for how they handled it. They contacted us as soon as they were made aware of the problem, and quickly arranged alternative accommodation for us, which we really appreciated. The replacement apartment itself was clean, bright, and had all the basics we needed. It wasn’t somewhere we would have chosen ourselves, mainly because of its location on a very busy road, close to one of the main crossroads into Whitby. It also made parking at the front a little tricky at times. Our only real issue inside the property was the bed. It was quite uncomfortable and the older metal frame was extremely squeaky. Even small movements or simply turning over in the night caused a lot of noise, which did disturb our sleep quite regularly. We do think replacing or updating the bed and frame would make a bi

Toilet seat badly fitted and dangerous. Toilet door handle loose. No signal with tv. Reported issuses not resolved,slow response slow to answer telephone calls...overall rhe flat was pleasant and modern

We had a lovely week in Whitby. The flat is right in the center so easy to walk about. It was comfortable, the kitchen had lots of cooking bits and the water pressure in the shower was great. There were a couple of issues but these were dealt with quickly by the hosts.

The location was good and the stay was fine for the price, but it wasn't a premium experience. We paid £25 for early check-in, but another car was in our space when we arrived. The host suggested it might be housekeeping and advised checking back at 4pm, which left us a bit stuck and worried about parking in a neighbouring space. It turned out to be other guests who had arrived early. It was a bit of a faff that could have been handled better with a bit more support. Inside, the kitchen and living room were reasonably clean, but the apartment was a little dusty in places and both bedroom carpets had a few small stains. The bathroom is outdated and needs some attention, specifically fixing the loose toilet seat and treating some dirty spots on the bath and grout. There was also a slight smell from the kitchen sink and bathroom. I appreciate this is hard to manage; but nesting seagulls in the car park made nights quite noisy, and there was a lot of bird mess around the parking area.

Beautiful place, very clean and made out stay very relaxing. Only downside was the tv remote didn’t work so we downloaded a universal app to use which did the trick! Great being so close to the centre of Whitby and having secure parking!

A lovely cosy flat, would definitely recommend. There was a noise in the main bedroom coming from the bathroom and the check in/out times were quite mean. However, the reason for that became clear after the many texts offering at early check in at an extra fee. Overall we were very happy with our two nights in the property.

It was easy to find the place. Had to navigate around builders vans to park as street very narrow. The apartment was easy to access. Bed in smaller bedroom was much more comfortable thsn main room. It was a shame the throws and sofas were dirty abd stained. There was alot of dust on headboards. Over all the apartment had good cooking facilities, a peaceful neighbourhood and plenty of hot water..

Great flat with parking and close to Whitby centre. No hair dryer, even though it was advertised as having one. A bit dusty in places, under coffee table in lounge and the 2nd bedroom was dusty too. Overall, good value and decent location.

lovely apartment & well equipped with good facilities. excellent location & parking on site was great. overall a really lovely stay. no hairdryer which we queried & were told to buy one which would be refunded. Still waiting for a refund over 2 weeks later despite numerous chase emails. please can Host & Stay sort this out. thanks

Great location for the town. We visited all the sites. Also handy for bus to other seaside towns nearby. Comfortable apartment with plenty of space. Just a shame we couldn’t get tv to work. Car space temporarily unavailable to us, due to road closure. Plenty of parking in town, but a walk away. Hosts were mostly quick to respond to simple queries.

Fabulous location and the parking space is an exceptional added bonus. Everything is within walking distance, we parked up on arrival and didn’t move the car again until we left. Lots of information in the guide book of places to eat and visit. I wouldn’t recommend for a long stay as there isn’t much storage for clothes etc but perfect for a few nights.

The Flat is well situated to explore Whitby, the allocated parking is an absolute, as parking places in Whitby are at a premium. The Flat Kitchen was well stocked with kitchen essentials. Overal the Flat is quiet and comfortable. We had an issue with Host and Stay regarding the Damage Waive, however this was resolved amicably with Charlie, and all communications with Host and Stay were answered promptly.

We had a lovely stay at Shipwrights. The apartment had everything we needed. Only critique was that we felt that one of the mattresses could be due for a replacement but the other one in the second bedroom was very comfortable so we were fine. Thanks for a brilliant stay and we’ll certainly be back xx

A modern first floor flat, designed and intended for the rental market. Had two sets of glass doors opening inwards in the lounge, but didn't have any curtains or blinds on them - both sets of windows were overlooked by neighbouring properties and they could see in at night, not ideal when you're trying to relax. Had everything you need, good parking space and ideally located for the town centre

Great location to explore Whitby and the surrounding area. Looks exactly like the photos. Not much in the way of clothes storage but the apartment was comfy and we felt relaxed there. There were a few niggles which we let H&S know about, hopefully these are addressed before the new guests arrive. Nothing that would stop us booking again.

Everything was spot on and we would stay again. Great to have a designated parking space. One thing worth noting is the requirement to pay a £250 refundable deposit or buy a £25 insurance cover prior to check in information being shared. This is only made clear after the booking has been made and I think it should be made clear in the property description so it’s not a surprise and additional cost. Other than this everything was as seen in the pictures and the property was well cleaned and stocked with everything you would need. The location is perfect for exploring Whitby and the surrounding area! Thanks for the great stay.

Great location, 5 minute walk into Whitby town centre. Good accommodation, bathroom would benefit from some minor maintenance. We didn't really use the kitchen, but there seemed to be a good stock of items for cooking. Would recommend due to location and cleanliness.

Lovely second floor apartment in a great location. Literally 4 mins walk into centre of Whitby. Allocated parking right in front of the block. Apartment itself very secure. Good size living/dining/kitchen area. Large fridge with the added bonus of a freezer. Would recommend.

Had a great 2 night stay. The apartment was in a great location, just 5 min walk to the centre. It was spotlessly clean, beds and linen all good. Would def book again if we head to Whitby.

Beautiful apartment, tastefully furnished and very close to Whitby centre. Warm when we wanted the heating on and plenty of hot water for baths and showers. Can't recommend highly enough. Note two lots of steps if their are mobility issues but nothing to speak of. Wonderful stay!

At first, we didn’t receive any request for a deposit. When we arrived in Whitby and checked Airbnb, we realised that a £250 deposit was required, all of which made checking into the flat very rushed. We struggled to find the address and key box. To be honest, the flat wasn't bad as it wasn't cheap to rent it.

Thank you for a lovely stay. The apartment is very nicely decorated. Love the bedrooms. The location is perfect, really close to the centre of Whitby. It was also a bonus having a parking space. The only negative is a few of the kitchen items needed washing before use as they were dirty.

Shipwrights was lovely. Comfortable beds and a spacious apartment with a well equipped kitchen. Communication with the team at Host and Stay was excellent before and during our visit. Very personal - we didn’t feel anonymous - and attentive. We would certainly recommend and would stay with Host and Stay again.

This is a lovely, modern flat with private parking just a few minutes’ walk from the train station and town centre. It’s set off the road so it’s really quiet. Bathroom and kitchen are both fitted to a high quality. Communication with host was very good. Great value, too.

Have just come back from a lovely stay in Whitby. Perfect location, 1 parking space was a bonus. Very clean and felt brand new. Lovely and warm, everything you needed to enjoy a lovely relaxing break. Lots of pubs, restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanted to go to Whitby. Thank you for our stay. Really nice apartment & great location within short walk of town etc. Clean and well maintained. If you visit in summer and have the windows opened be prepared to be woken by seagulls who nest nearby & make a row from 3.30am!

An easy walk into the town and having somewhere to park was definitely a bonus. Very clean and well-equipped. The only downside was that we felt it lacked privacy as the adjoining flat was at a right-angle and both flats could easily see into each other’s living rooms.
