Great location and size

In need of quite a lot of work. Smell of drains hits you as soon as you walk in. Hall very tatty with poor lighting. Screwdriver holding shower tray in place. Dining chairs ripped, kitchen tired. Badly stained carpet in the bedroom with damp smell. Veranda and windows very dirty.
Such a shame because the house is in a perfect position

Beautiful traditional building, in brilliant location with incredible views.

The property is poorly maintained. Ensuite bathroom has screwdriver wedged into floor, holding up something? Not sure what? Some parts of house are in need of repair. Broken kickbacks, lights not working and general appearance of veranda was poor. Issues with cleaning too but they were quickly rectified. Sea views obstructed by dirty windows that hadn't been cleaned for sometime.

Position,size, generally well equipped.

Lack of minor maintenance and lack of attention to detail. No way to dispose of rubbish and recycling. Minor cleaning issues. No high chair and a travel cot which was broken and not fit for purpose

The property is ideally located, with excellent sea views. We visited off season so parking on the road for free was not an issue. Good amenities near by. Fab place.

Great location but that’s the only thing great. Both showers leaked and the smell of drains and damp was obvious the moment we opened the front door. Clearly someone knew about it as there was air fresheners all over the place. The decor is very dated and very well used. There was clutter in lots of the cupboards and all of the crockery was chipped. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

A huge apartment with fantastic sea views. Ideally located for pubs, restaurants and shops but quiet and relaxing. The beds were extremely comfortable. We would stay again.

There were a few areas that had been neglected in the cleaning... mainly kitchen work tops, cupboard fronts and the en suite shower. This can happen with such a large property to clean. Our other issue was the 5 air fresheners in the en suite. The smell from them was over powering and caused sore eyes. On taking them away there was a smell from the drains. Unsure which was worse.

Location was excellent

Carpets were soaked and stained yellow in main bedroom on our arrival. We had to keep soaking water up with towels.
We then had a pipe burst in the main bathroom which left the bathroom under water, soaking the carpet in the second bedroom and flooding the basement. Emergency plumber attended and left the property filthy.
Lack of utensils in the kitchen. Blind in second bedroom broken. Blind in front lounge broken therefore we couldn't enjoy the views from that window. Lounge windows filthy, therefore I had to clean them.
No acknowledgement from owner that we managed to isolate the tap where the leak was pouring gallons of hot water per minute therefore preventing much further damage. Not even a " thank you"

The location is superb and the apartment is very clean and huge,modern decor,living room has comfy sofas comfy beds in the main room but second bedroom bed lumpy,but the bathrooms are a bit of luxury.Great for dogs
Heating good.

Locked ourselves out of apartment building ( obviously our fault) but took multiple distressing phone calls to get help to let us in ,took 2.5hrs sat outside with disabled husband needing meds ,this was eventually sorted ,but an upsetting start to holiday and not dealt with either nicely or correctly.They have since apologised.
Blinds in living room were stuck in the up position,informed and told someone would come next day ....never did come, lucky our son surprised us with a visit and managed to fix as we had no privacy on an evening.
The coffee machine did not work ,wrong capsules!
Clothes and bedding felt damp in bedrooms ( lovely comfy main bed though)
Carpets badly stained in bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
All in all ,this could be 5* and it is not luxury as it is now...with a bit more attention to detail and more helpful and polite phone assistants this could be the luxury it claims.
The apartment was very clean though,so well done to those ladies .
But shame on the people on the help lines.
May I suggest that an intercom to communicate with other apartments at the front main door could have solved initial problems and distress or an emergency manger call number .That coffee machine works and new bedroom carpet also check the damp in bedrooms
We do love Saltburn though and you can not beat the views from this apartment or size.

The property itself was beautiful and decorated to a great standard

The property needs a lot of maintenance, there was a huge patch of mould in the main bathroom carpet, damp throughout the apartment and “host and stay” hadn’t theft the apartment clean and with the heating on really high in the middle of a heatwave

The garden & patio area were scruffy grass & hedges need cutting
Patio area needs sweeping & garden furniture cleaning.
There was 2 black bags full of rubbish just dumped in the garden, been there a while as bags had started to break down
Surely the cleaners could of removed them
Not a good first impression when arriving at the place.
Apartment in need of some TLC lots of snagging needing attention
Mattress in master bedroom needing replacing,

The apartment was spacious and more than big enough for our stay. The apartment had everything we needed and was very comfy. We stayed with my grandparents and they were very impressed too. The location was perfect and just a quick walk down the steps/tram to the beach.

Nothing we was impressed with it all.

Sound of running water outside second bedroom door from upstairs drains
No mattress protector on single bed
Master bed mattress needs burning
Taps loose and broken in bathroom
Mould in living room
Plaster coming off walls in several places
Massive cracks
Cobwebs in light fittings
Bulbs blown in living room
Hole in sofa
Hole in second bedroom pillowcase and torn duvet
Living room needs a rug and coffee table (small tables placed round edge with lamps on.
Windows dirty
Grass not cut
Hedge very over grown
Ragwort growing in garden
Patio and furniture dirty with pigeon poo and not been swept in a long time
Bin bag by front door and random lump of wood
Garden gate doesn’t close properly
Living room floor dirty, toilets covered in poo splats and fridge dirty
Freezer drawer smashed so foot doesn’t close properly meaning it’s frosted up
Kitchen table missing a corner protector and units have over hanging surfaces with no bar stools which meant 2 year old kept hitting head
En suite shower didn’t work and other shower didn’t remain a consistent temperature so burnt my little boy
Bin no lid and no spare bags

A beautiful classy apartment looking out onto the seaside. Great view of the coastline from the living room and bedroom windows, and also from the dining room window. Warm and comfortable, with all the necessary amenities. Classy apartment done out in black and white, with leather dining chairs and glass topped table. Comfortable brown sofas in the lounge with a large 65” TV, WiFi, and Virgin TV.

This flat has stunning views and the location is great. However the following are worth noting:
The mattresses are very uncomfortable. The main bedroom in particular- hollowed out, lumpy, springs - needs replacing.
You have to go out of the flat to access the terrace, it’s not connected.
The smell in the entire flat is ghastly - damp and drains. The shower is leaking water. Clearly not a new problem but repairs have not been done.
None of the blinds can be pulled up and opened as the strings are all broken. What a shame with that lovely view. Only three windows can be opened.
The dishwasher doesn’t work properly, as the soap tray cover is broken. Lots of dirty crockery, glasses and cutlery in the cupboards when we got there.
Kitchen equipment - not even a salad bowl, platter or a serving dish. Cutlery all grubby and chucked in the drawer - no tray in the drawer.
Freezer drawers broken.

The property was lovely, big and spacious. Area is excellent with fabulous views of the sea and pier. It is in easy access to all amenities.

The only slight downfall we had was with the hot water in the ensuit bathroom. It kept switching off and going to cold whilst having a shower, but on the whole a lovely place.

This is the first time I’ve been disappointed by an Airbnb property, and I’ve booked many. Surprisingly, there was no welcome pack or message. There was tea/coffee/salt/pepper/toiletries and cleaning chemicals but nothing else. However it’s location is as described and amazing! But we found thick layers of dust in the master bedroom, dirty kitchen equipment (eg mouldy teabags left in teapot & dirty chopping board), uncomfortable bed in master bedroom, where the blinds were inadequate. The letting company did respond next day when I reported an iced up fridge freezer which wouldn’t shut but this wasn’t followed up or fixed, and we managed without it.
Not sure I’ll use a property managed by host and stay again.

Location, apartment, locality and views all excellent. Would recommend to others as a place to stay.

Overall let down by minor issues. Needs some TLC. The mattress in the master bedroom needs replacing as every spring could be felt and heard with every move. The en suite had a strong sewage smell which dissipated through the weekend. General decoration, needing a touch up. On the whole, nice place.

Great location and layout of flat for our party.
Easy to access and find.
Very responsive host when had minor problem.
No coffee machine which was pictured and listed in details but not the end of the world.

Great place to stay with family or friends as well as dogs. Lovely views. Easy access to the beach down a flight of stairs.Apartment was lovely and spacious. Great with the two bathrooms. Perfect for shops In walking distance and restaurants and takeouts. Would definitely come back again.

The bed in the front bedroom was awful, lumpy and noisy springs, spoiler the holiday due to lack of sleep.

Well it gets a bit busy and is pretty close to a pub that seems to get very loud on a Saturday night and I may be unlucky to witness a big fight at 2 in the morning but even still it was great

Great location, literally next to the beach. The building itself is really nice, loads of character and space with great views. The master bedroom is stunning. The whole place is really well laid out, it was clean and tidy when we arrived. There was some damage to a few areas and the fridge had not been shut properly due to the cupboard door blocking it but we managed to get it sorted. Communication with the owner was good. This property has another apartment to the rear but does not share an entrance. We were staying with young children but the apartment behind had a group of rowdy lads that made a lot of noise in the early hours on the first night. Not a massive issue for us, thankfully the walls are pretty thick but could cause issues. If you're looking to stay with kids, it's worth checking to see what other groups are staying at the same time. Having said all that, overall we had a really good weekend.

the views, location, space, communication before stay, use of key safe, heating, large tv, local facilities. best pizzas up the road!!

some finishing touches would make it even better decorating wise like gaps in flooring, paint missing , also some damp to the property. couldn’t get hot water in the shower in the en-suite. cutlery tray in drawer. coffee pods that fit the machine. gate on the front garden. entrance hall was shabby compared to the villa itself.

Great location in Saltburn, with access to the beach a short walk down some steps or even the use of the Funicular at the end of the road. If you need to pick up any additional shopping items the Sainsburys is 3 minute walk around the corner.
The property was lovely and clean and was great for a family of 4 and taking the grandparents with us. It's easily accessed once up the first few steps and is all on one level once inside.
The hosts were in communication frequently and made sure if there were any issues to get in touch.
Highly recommend staying here and we lucked in with the weather, and were able to sit outside on the patio to enjoy the evening sun.
