The space
Upon entering Hoggarths Retreat, you’ll be wowed by the modern and bright feel which flows throughout the property. You’ll notice the impeccable interiors as soon as you step into the hallway as you’re welcomed by quirky patterned flooring and clean, minimalist walls.Take the first door to the right and you’ll find the living area. This is the perfect place to enjoy quality time with friends and family. Relax on the large, corner sofa and switch on the flat screen TV to enjoy the perks of NOW TV.
Light floods in from the glass double doors at the other end of the room and the glass roof above. Here, you’ll find the open plan kitchen and dining area. This modern space is homely and stylish. The glossy kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, dishwasher and washing machine – so you’ll have everything you could need for your stay.
The large dining table is perfect for family breakfasts and evening meals with friends. In the summer, you can open the doors and let the warm breeze in. In the winter months, you’ll feel cosy and warm as the dark nights draw closer. Outside you'll find an enclosed, paved area.
Head back to the hallway and you’ll find a modern downstairs cloakroom under the stairs.
Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll be greeted by two beautifully furnished bedrooms and the main bathroom.
The first bedroom is a stylish haven with large glass doors showcasing rural views. There is a rusty orange colour scheme which is complemented perfectly with the copper bedside tables and lamps.
The second bedroom has rustic features whilst still keeping the same stunning aesthetic as the rest of the house. Striking smoked glass lamps sit either side of the comfy bed. Unique artwork, premium bed linen and plush cushions help to make this room feel relaxing and warm. This room also boasts a modern en-suite bathroom which includes a large, walk in shower.
The main bathroom has a seriously stylish feel. It features a striking free-standing bath and luxurious textured tiles.
Upstairs on the second floor, you’ll find two more bedrooms. The first bedroom at the top of the stairs has double doors which open to reveal amazing rural views. It has a huge, comfortable bed and a desk area. You’ll also find an en-suite which has a bath and overhead shower.
The last bedroom has a green colour scheme which creates a truly tranquil space. It is complemented perfectly with matt black accessories, abstract artwork and a wicker light. It also features an en-suite with a large walk in shower.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.There is one car parking space located at the property and there are a number of pay and display car parks within a 15-minute walk of the house. Further details on parking will be provided before your stay.

We welcome one well behaved dog.

Plus points. Big enough for 6 adults & 2 kids, convenient location, plenty pots, pans, and crockery/utensils, 3 out of 4 beds very comfy, RH 1st floor bed, big dip in one of the connected singles. I will now explain what spoiled the stay, asked by the company if we wanted xtra nights @ 50% off both before and after, so house obviously empty, then wanted £50 for early check in?, house WAS clearly very nice after the refurb, it now urgently needs another refurb and deep clean,several previous guests have said the same, scuff marks in every room and all up the stairs, carpets and sofa need a deep clean(full of dog hair) kitchen kick panels and floor is filthy, higher areas and skylights covered in dirt/mold inside and out, rear yard stinks!, dog pee and drains, flags need jet washing and disinfecting, garden furniture and cushions filthy(put off using the area completely), no wardrobes or storage, a few hooks and cheap clothes rails don’t cut it, light shades and fitting covered in grime

Beautiful property with great access to the heart of Whitby, the property was great with 4 bathrooms for all the bedrooms and a extra toilet ok the ground floor. Easy check in and perfect property. The only thing that let the property down unfortunately was the cleanliness, feel the property would benefit from a good clean, bedding all clean, just things such as floors, toilet and crockery not the cleanest- if these small things were cleaned we wouldn’t of been able to fault the property.

For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.
