Great house to stay in, 4 good bedrooms, comfortable sofas, well equipped kitchen in terms of equipment, clean throughout and a nice environment to live in for the week. Great location, just a short walk from the harbour, a variety of cafes, pubs, restaurants and a chip shop. A great selection of local arts, jewellery, and other wee shopping pods along a section of the harbour as well as a weekly market. Would definitely return here in the future.

The house was perfect for us-lots of bedrooms, comfortable lounge, well equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms and hot showers. Central Amble, which is a lovely little town with lots of places to eat. Would thoroughly recommend!

Great communication from the Charlie (host) right from the start. House was perfect for a long weekend away, directly on the main road in Amble with everything on your doorstop. The house is extremely clean and organised and perfect for groups of friends or family to stay. Beds really comfortable and lots of equipment in the kitchen if you love to cook. Free on street parking and plenty of it. Small stone and cement courtyard at the back (which is a little sun trap in the summer) with bench seating. Would highly recommend and also would return ourselves in another visit.

Really good stay, only lowered the mark as the beds we found really firm on the double and king could really do with toppers, my best friend was pregnant so we did leave a night early as it was too uncomfortable for another night and some of the areas were quite dusty (could have been slightly cleaner) however the location is brilliant and the downstairs is lovely spacious living room/kitchen and dining area great for cooking and playing games. It was kid l/dog friendly as all wooden floors downstairs. Spacious rooms with lots of bathrooms, lots of nice restaurants and walks nearby! Would definitely recommend, would just suggest some toppers for the beds then it would have been 5 out 5 stars :)

Very nice property with everything provided for a comfortable self-catering break. Located centrally for easy access to Amble's amenities, parking wasn't a problem as plenty of spaces outside the apartment on a first come basis. Only slight annoyance was the TV, appears to be no aerial so viewing is app only, which for some is fine but not if you prefer live news broadcasts, this said it didn't stop us enjoying our visit to Amble and staying at Hithe cottage.

Fabulous house very thoughtfully refurbished and fitted out. Excellent attention to detail with lots of lovely finishing touches. Short walk for everything you needed, from beach to lots of lovely places to eat, and shops for anything you need close by.

Hithe House was the perfect place for me, my daughters and grandchildren to spend a few days during the October holiday. The layout was great for a multigenerational group, travel cot and high chair provided, not too much clutter so good for small children. Easy walking distance to town and a short drive to many interesting places for days out. The decor and furnishings seemed new and fresh. We all agreed that we would be happy to return with family or with friends.

The house was well presented, clean and was ideal as a base for our family group. The hosts were clear with their instructions and looked to see if there was anything we needed prior to our stay. Amble has some very nice restaurants (Jaspers, while not cheap was fantastic) and an excellent ice cream parlour. The harbour and small vendors provide a variety of offers. The town isn’t quaint in comparison to a number of other Northumberland locations, but it is easy to get to a variety of different places and is more affordable than many.

Met with family in this beautifully presented house in a great location close to the harbour in Amble. It was so well-equipped and with a nice little seating area at the back ( which isn’t actually mentioned in the description). We loved our stay.

Just got back from a 7 night stay at Hithe house. We felt the space really fulfilled our needs - 4 adults, 2 children and 1 dog. It actually exceeded our expectations. The house is really nicely presented, very light and airy and all the items you would need for a comfortable stay from comfy couches, well equipped, clean kitchen and everything in between. There is a yard at the back with a table and bench which is useful but due to weather we didn’t use it much. Hithe house is perfectly located in Amble - a short walk to a few beaches and plenty of cafes/bars/restaurants. We had two cars between us and managed to park directly outside all week. I would definitely stay again if I were to visit Amble in the future and would recommend to anyone else to book. Also great communication from the host. Thank you!

Amble is a lovely fishing town and the property is in a great location for getting to the seafront. On street parking but we didn’t have any issues with 2 cars. The house was a good size and good location for getting out to drive onwards to the local beautiful sights. We were however, disappointed with access to a high chair. I asked whether one was available a few weeks before staying and they confirmed they had no travel cot but did provide a high chair, but upon arrival at the property there was no high chair. They were fairly responsive, but ultimately this didn’t get resolved so we had difficulty feeding our 9 month old safely for the few days we were there. Upon pushing, they said they’d ordered one but it would take a week to arrive which didn’t help. I just felt they could have done more, and we could have brought our own if we’d known in advance (which I’d tried to preempt by asking prior to arrival). Despite that, we had a great time exploring beautiful Northumberland.

Beautiful, well appointed, pristine house. Exactly as the photos. Very good location, close to the harbour and a short walk from the Main Street and shops. The back garden whilst a bit basic was a veritable suntrap, luckily we had our camping chairs to make use of it. Saying that we had a wonderful stay in a lovely property and would highly recommend it.

Hithe House is in a great location with a wonderful open plan ground floor which is great for groups. There was plenty of space for our party of 4 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby which was great. Unfortunately the floors didn’t seem to have been vacuumed as there were a lot of dog hairs on the floors and carpets so this made it very difficult for us to let our baby play on the floor anywhere. The house is in a great spot for Amble as it’s right near the harbour and a wonderful seafood restaurant and fish & chip shop.

Stayed with two families and was the perfect size for all, nice modern house with everything you need and lovely decor. Very comfy sofa! Great location with great pub and fish and chip shop in same road as well as seafood restaurants just minutes away. Hand access to harbour and long beach walks as well as local shops. Very well placed for climbing hills, visiting castles and beaches. Perfect place to stay to experience everything Northumbria has to offer. Dale the host was really responsive and provided all information we needed.

Stayed with a group of friends. Perfect location, close to the harbour and town centre. Plenty of good walking from the doorstep, to castles and beaches! Walking distance to the Fish Shack which was superb. Really enjoyed the Sunday Market. The house was spacious, stylish, comfortable and well stocked. The owner had thought of everything. Will definitely be back.

After a couple of hiccups with getting a damage waiver in place, we got access to the property which is amazing. It all looks very newly renovated and has all the things needed for a family break. The house is spacious and comfortable, the showers are lovely. Plenty of parking on the street outside. Amble is a perfect location for lots of days out (Alnwick, Cragside, lots of castles and coastal walks, beautiful beaches all within a 30 min drive). There is an amazing fish shop just a few doors away, and ice cream parlour just round the corner, and plenty of lovely restaurants less than 10 minutes walk away.

Thanks it felt like home! The terrace property was bigger than expected with plenty of room for 6 people and matched its description. light and bright throughout. Fully equipped kitchen great dining space and a lounge which fit in everyone. Rooms were simply stylishly decorated, not cluttered, lovely fresh bed linen and plenty of pillows. Beds were hard but nothing that can’t be fixed with a thick mattress topper. Three modern Bathrooms were clean with lots of hot water for showers. Outside space was a bonus for morning coffee and breakfast. Plenty of parking outside the property and around Amble. Amble is a fabulous place lots of places to eat, walk to and do around the area. Managed a trip to Edinburgh in the week of fab weather. With castles galore and a huge number of beaches to go to. Host and Stay were great and timely at communicating necessary information, friendly and approachable. They provided an online resource about the house and area beforehand. Great comms!
