This is a fabulous place to stay as long as you're not expecting modern chic. The flat was light and airy with lovely big, comfortable rooms and a very large well equipped kitchen. Very clean on arrival. A 10 minute walk to South Bay and all its amenities.

There were a few things that unfortunately let our stay down, but the flat is spacious and nicely furnished and I was so grateful to be able to park either outside or opposite the property. We were able to walk down and up to the beach in a short time and the supermarket was only 3-4 minutes drive, to get supplies. The communication was very good with the hosts

The stay was great parked car up and did not use till went home. Very close to town and the Spa and beach. The place we stayed was very clean and comfortable. We did speak to owner when coming in one day and they told use to put heating on if cold which is great if you need it

Such a stunning apartment with lots of space, extremely clean and tidy and very well equipped. Would 100% return again to do some more exploring. 10 minute walk into the centre of Scarborough, such a perfect location.

If you are considering this as your next holiday base please believe me you won’t find better!! Spotlessly clean, gorgeous furniture & decor the bathroom had both a bath & a shower . Kitchen was huge & again spotless . We came due to work but would not hesitate to book again it’s just perfect!!

Had a lovely week here, it’s a great flat, felt quite large with two people and had everything we needed while staying. It is in a great location for walking to Scarborough beach and travelling up and down the east coast. The host was also very quick to respond to questions with useful answers which is always a huge help. Would recommend!

Lovely apartment, classy decor, great location, really quiet, comfortable bed, plenty of hot water. Minor niggles re cleanliness (carpet rather crumby, a couple of hairs in the bath, no scourer only a j-cloth for washing up so pots in the cupboard a bit sticky..) Be aware you are booking with Host and Stay. I've never been asked before in umpteen years using Airbnb to pay a large deposit to cover accidental damage or complete an additional registration form, was rather puzzled by this and tried to message the host via the Airbnb website to clarify but there appears to be a glitch - was only able to contact the host via their call centre or their own email - so didn't bother as Airbnb advises only to contact via the Airbnb website.

Great place. Well located to the seafront aswell as the surrounding town centre but far enough that it wasn’t noisy. Very spacious and airy. Bed very comfortable and had everything I needed. Will definately stay again

Really spacious apartment, much more so than most other 1 bed AirBnBs. Great location as well. Just dropped a mark as noticed a couple of spots (bedside table and bathroom shelving) hadn’t been dusted very well (not the first time I’ve noticed that cleaning in a host & stay apartment hasn’t been great unfortunately). But a pretty minor gripe in a really nice flat!

Had a lovely stay at the Garden Flat, about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach where there is a lot to do! The flat has a large space, comfortable sofas and bed. Found the electric fire works well and heats up quickly, great homely touch. The bathroom, kitchen and bedroom has a lot of room. Overall, it’s a nice place to stay and would recommend.

Lovely flat. Clean, well appointed, homely, warm. Excellent location for both town and sea front. We are walkers, and its a great starting point for the coastal paths. In 3 days we managed 42 miles on various sections of the Cleveland Way. Would deffo go back - excellent all round.

We have just spent 6 nights in the garden flat, Scarborough. It was a very comfortable stay. It has everything to make your trip relaxing and stress free. Good location. Near the train station and local buses to explore the area. Would recommend staying here to family and friends. Thank you

Great place to stay, lots of space, convinient location but not great if you have mobility issues due to lot if steps. Homely, comfortable and had everything we needed for a week stay. Bed and sofas were comfy, kitchen well appointed. We had a wonderful stay and would 100% stay here again.

Host and Stay is unresponsive. You are actually talking to a bot. The answers are premanufactured. After booking you are required to do a verification process which will cost you a further 10 euros or you can buy an insurance for another few bucks. These unexpected verification process should be already done in the booking process. If you have booked but didnt do the verification process because the verification process mail is sent only after few hours later. Personally when i booked an airbnb I have no time to recheck my booking. This verification mail request is an automated mail which I didnt really care much only to know this was a prequisite to enter the apartment or you wont get any check in info. Secondly when I entered the kitchen ware was dirty. The pans were still oily and on some kettles we found a hair inside. The apartment itself is under ground floor and is connected to an apartment on ground floor where kids are running. So quiet noisy.

A nice place to stay. Nice location, nice space, a little bit tired in places, but nothing that would put me off staying there again. Can't say I liked handing over a £250 security deposit for a while and paying £10 for the privilege. I didn't think it would bother me, but it did. Feels like being minorly gouged by a cheap airline. I do on occasions travel with the cheap airline as they sometimes are the only one who can take me to where I want to go. However the hosting company here do not have that advantage, so I won't stay in any of their properties again, sadly including this one.

A wonderful grounds floor flat with garden. The flat is well located within Scarborough and is in a nice quiet street. We thought the faculties and comfort of the flat were great. We would have liked to have seen some salt and pepper/oil available but isn’t a big issue. It is a shame about the mandatory £10, which for me is a hidden fee from Airbnbs payment and isn’t really necessary. I still haven’t received my deposit back either after a week, so would have been 5* if not for these final two issues.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A very comfortable, spacious and well equipped basement apartment. It was also surprisingly light ... as well as wonderfully characterful. We also really appreciated the parking permit.

Absolutely loved the place, so so gorgeous and spacious!!! Incredibly clean and well laid out. About 5mins walk from the beach and there’s a super friendly pub just a minute from the location that people should check out. Such an amazing place, was genuinely sad to leave but will definitely be back.

The Garden Flat was an amazing place to stay. Felt homely, it was clean and well presented. Loved the feel of the whole place!! Even had a fresh pint of milk in the fridge when we got there. Incredible!

Excellent flat in a great location south side of Scarborough, in a lovely quiet area with a couple of local pubs/bars nearby. Beautiful living room, big kitchen and really comfortable bed. Would highly recommend, wished we could have stayed longer but just a short trip this time. Will be returning in the future 👍

This is such a lovely flat its more like a house its massive,brilliant location if you go out back gate cross the road go right bit of a hill go through the middle you will find town centre. If you just wall down the hill you will find the beach. host was brilliant too. everything you need inside the flat we loved it and will be back and will recommend to friends thanks for letting us stay me and my wife loved it.
