We really enjoyed our stay in Whitby. The flat was in a great location, just a short walk from town and lovely and quiet. Parking space was useful but a little tricky to exit if you have a long car. The flat had everything we needed, clean and tidy. The instructions from the host were excellent. Thank you.

The apartment was just as listed - great location (quiet but only a few minutes walk into the centre of town) and extremely clean. The host was also very responsive with an answer to a small query we had. Would recommend!

We have stayed in this complex before, great location and parking is ideal. Unfortunately, we arrived to find a broken, very uncomfortable master bed, and dog poo left in the outside patio. The accommodation was also quite tired in places. Added inconvenience was the gate code not being provided. We escalated the bed issue with Host and Stay who passed us on to the owners. This carried on for several days with the neighbours being sent to inspect the bed, then the maintainence team. A new bed frame was eventually put up late into the third evening however we had been earlier told to pack up as they were moving us. We found the whole process stressful and it ruined our annual wedding anniversary trip to Whitby. We were accused of lying and refusing the new bed frame by Host and Stay and are still waiting for a response to our official complaint. Host and Stay were unhelpful and hard to get hold of. We won't be booking to stay with them again and recommend you avoid doing so too.

The apartment was very clean, and had everything you needed. Excellent location to centre and brilliant parking space. Unfortunately found out day before that dogs weren't allowed on furniture, this was a big issue for us and should be clear in apartment description before booking. Took 24 hrs to receive front gate code, issue for more than us looking at guest book. The flat was very comfortable but because of the warm weather we had to sleep with external patio doors, this didn't feel very safe and because of location was very noisy from neighbours until early morning.

We had a lovely stay at the apartment, location was fab - walkable to all the main sites with our pup and having a car parking space really made it for us! The Host was amazing at giving all the full details on how to find the apartment/check in etc and very responsive. Was a shame early check in wasn’t available as we would have loved to have spent more time here but we would definitely look to stay again!

Overall we had a lovely stay at The Eskape. It’s a really lovely, modern wee flat. Spotlessly clean and has everything you’d need for a short break. The courtyard area to the back is particularly lovely. Added bonus of having safe and secure parking. We were delighted when we arrived to have found such a lovely place.

We had a great trip. The apartment was clean, access was easy, and the on-site secured car parking space with additional on-street parking available was an added bonus. The apartment is a short walk to Whitby town centre, which makes visiting local restaurants and pubs very simple. There are plenty of takeaways as well as a co-op nearby! I would definitely stay again.

had a 2 night stay at the property. ✅️check in was really easy, clear instructions. 🅿️car park was a great peace of mind as opposed to street parking, space was easy to get into and helpful being a corner spot. 🧹property was clean, to a v.good standard. places to hang coats/dog lead and boots. 🛏beds weren't especially comfortable for personal preference (quite hard) duvets a bit thin for time of year but was heating and blankets in the living room if needed. rooms are good size 🪴yard to the rear was handy, nice to have private space 🍴facilities we used were good; fridge/kettle/toaster all in great order. can't inform of oven/dishwasher etc as we didn't use them- dishwashing tablets were provided. well stocked on crockery etc. 🚿shower was lovely, powerful and hot. 🚽toilet lid can be a bit slammy if used to a soft close at home! 🖥 tv doesn't have an aerial so can only use a few apps. chromecast so can cast itv from phone. overall, happy and already looking to return

Very well appointed apartment, nicely decorated, well equipped and comfortable. There was a high quality entertainment system available but we didn’t get round to using it as we used it as a base. Quiet area, no neighbour noise, hoover, iron and ironing board available. Very much recommended by us.

The property itself was as described, nice and a good location. Parking especially was very useful and secure. I would probably not look to book anything managed by host and stay though in future if possible. After first demanding an additional fee before they would release the address and check in details, after paying for the initial booking, it was also very unclear how to even go about this process. I had to contact them three times to even be able to pay this unexpected premium. Also the repeated SMS, email and Airbnb messaging throughout the stay had chastising tones of making sure you behave and not break anything as if we were 16 year olds on a first trip without our parents. As a couple in our 40s (who had also incidentally just paid them a damage premium to be able to even stay there) it felt a little condescending and above all irritating. In summary place was great but I would avoid the host company for an independent in future.

The apartment is lovely - small, but perfectly formed! It is easy to find with satnav. The only (small) criticism is the parking space is tricky to get into - the space itself has plenty of room, but the construction of the carpark (the gates, many pillars and a narrow 'road') make for a tricky manoeuvre in and out, but this is a minor observation as a car parking place in Whitby is fantastic! The apartment is well equipped, clean and has the bonus of an outside seating area, which is a bonus on a sunny evening. It is an easy walk into central Whitby, but coming back does require either steep steps and a sharp slope or a longer hill, however my elderly mother managed (with a few breaks to look at the view!). We would definitely stay here again - clean, well-equipped, central and with parking. Everything you need. The Hosts are excellent too - easy to contact and responsive.

Excellent location for our weekend away in Whitby! A five minute walk from the beaches but far enough away from the noise of the centre was ideal for us and our two dogs. Accommodation was just as the pictures showed and the welcome/information app was a fantastic addition. Couldn’t recommend more, 10/10.

The Eskape is 5 -10 minutes walk from harbour in a quiet and peaceful location. there is a short steep incline up to it and my elderly mum who is very fit for her age did need a stop to catch her breath and noted if you had poor mobility it would be a struggle. I had my car if we went out more than once during the day but could limit times if you didn't. The apartment itself was extremely clean, very comfy beds, lovely big shower, everything had been catered for. Lovely bonus of private courtyard at back of apartment if weather was warm enough to sit out. Highly recommended if visiting whitby. Clare

Great location & excellent secure parking at the property. This was underneath the apartments via a secure & coded gate. Lovely facilities & generous bedrooms & living space. Really liked the outdoor private terrace off the main bedroom!

This apartment is in a good location and an easy walk into the centre of Whitby, it’s in a quiet location and the modern apartment block in which it’s situated is very well kept. The on-site secure parking is great (please note we couldn’t get into the car park with our roof box on - not a problem though as we took it off and stored it in the car park bay during our stay). Check in instructions were great and easy to follow. The apartment itself wasn’t as clean as we’d expected (although the towels, bedding and bathroom were clean). The living areas would benefit from a good clean and a little more attention to detail on changeovers between guests. We arrived to find the dishwasher full of dirty plate’s, cups, glasses and cutlery. The outside patio area needs to be cleaned and tidied and the patio furniture washed so that we could have used it. One of the dining room chairs had a sticky mark left on it and we needed to cover it with paper towel so that we could use it.

Amazing place. So well equipped, comfortable and great location. Good communication and information too. A bit more expensive than weve paid before in other accomodations, but worth it. Wish we couldve stayed longer. It would be a perfect place for longer stays. Everything had been thought of. We will be back.

The Eskape is a ground floor apartment very close to Whitby and all it has to offer. The flat is very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It also benefits from secure underground parking which is a real plus as parking can be highly sought after in Whitby particularly during peak times. We have visited Whitby many times and therefore chose to eat in so we ate from the local chippy on Fishburn Road and crabs from Sandgate Fisheries. Both were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Eskape and hope to visit again very shortly.

We had a great couple of days at The Eskape. The flat was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed. Check in was extremely simple and having parking in Whitby was a big plus. Only a few minutes walk into the centre for restaurants so we ate out at The Magpie Cafe and The Star Inn The Harbour. A lovely break and we’d happily stay here again

Great place to come home to after a day exploring. Parking space much appreciated. Clean modern compact space. We were two sisters and found it just right. Not sure about 4 people sharing though. 5 mins walk to everywhere in Whitby. Narrow road with houses opposite. Partial view of harbour through one window. The electric heating is very efficient. It is best to park first then collect keys to front door from keyCode box which is on the wall of the car park space. There are steps to/from car park.

Very comfortable and clean apartment within very close walking distance to Whitby harbour and it’s amenities. Well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds and lounge area. Fab communication from “Stay”. Underground parking a major plus. I would definitely recommend. Also: Trenchers and Magpie Cafe were amazing restaurants for the freshest food. Just perfect.

Great location, literally a stone’s throw from the centre. A sparkling clean property and super comfy beds, were very impressed. Only minor downside was we were unable to access the post (needed a key) to receive birthday cards. The owner has promised to forward these to us once they find the key.
