The space
The Cottage, Marske is a charming holiday home which has been finished to the highest standard.On the ground floor, you’ll find a cosy and welcoming living room. Boasting a brick fireplace with an electric log burner style fire as well as a flat screen TV, this room will certainly feel like home. There is ample space for your whole party to relax together as there is a comfy three seater sofa and two matching armchairs. Whether you’re keeping up with your favourite shows or playing games, you can retreat here after a day at the beach to spend quality times with your loved ones.
Also on this floor is the open plan kitchen and dining area. With high shine kitchen cabinets in cream and dark wood style worktops, the kitchen has a traditional feel with a contemporary look. Fully equipped for all self-catering staycations, it boasts an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and coffee maker. Sharing this space is the dining area so it’s ideal for socialising and entertaining.
You will find the family bathroom also on the ground floor.
The patio doors open out into the quirky garden. With fishing baskets and boat ornaments, there is certainly a seaside theme which suits the cottage perfectly. Enjoy your meals al fresco style at the outdoor dining area which includes a wooden table and four chairs.
Back inside you’ll find two spacious bedrooms upstairs on the first floor.
The master bedroom features a black iron double bed and cream wood furniture. You’ll enjoy your sleep at The Cottage as the bed boasts plush bedding and premium linen. There is a calming feel to the space with a light colour scheme and splashes of navy blue. Make the most of the lie-ins during your stay and turn on the TV to watch breakfast shows from the comfort of your bed.
Head to the second bedroom and you’ll find an equally charming space. The crisp white walls are livened up with red cushions and a pink roller blind. There is a comfortable small double bed with the same premium bed linens.
The family bathroom is ultra sleek with sand coloured wall tiles and spotlights. Ideal for families, there is a bath with an overhead shower. A basin, WC and mirror complete the space.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full cottage.The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.
There is no car parking outside the front of the property or on the Terrace. Parking is available on the slip road to the beach opposite the cottage.

Beautiful beach just at the bottom of the street. Facing east so caught sunrise and morning sun. Pretty and sheltered back garden. Very stylish beach decor and accessories in all the house. Cleanliness was a problem: Fusty smell downstairs from damp mop in cupboard. Stale smell on sofas and in the front bedroom maybe from old worn carpets. Front windows covered in greasy handprints spoilt the view. Hairs and dust on floors in living room and bathroom. Very hair clogged plug in bath/ shower. Better cleaning between lets by Host and Stay and some minor maintenance would make this a 5 star review

We enjoyed our stay. The village was scenic, quiet and peaceful. It was a nice change to the more touristy places we visited during the day. The place was reasonably clean and included the essentials. The communication was prompt and courteous. We stayed for 3 nights and as we are touring around for 3 weeks, we cooked most of our meals during our stay. We had everything we needed. If you are planning on staying for a few days, I’d recommend bringing extra supplies like a scrub brush for cleaning dishes (only a jcloth is supplied) extra tea towels, hand towels, laundry detergent and some toilet paper. We would stay here again!

The cottage is a wonderful little getaway. The location is excellent, beautiful scenery from the main bedroom. It is modern and very clean and has everything you should need whilst away. The beds are incredibly comfortable and the rooms light and airy. It is genuinely lovely. My only drawback would be the parking, but I was fully aware that you couldn't park outside and there was advice as to where you could park, just a stones throw away. I just underestimated this with my 80 year old Mum and when we got back one day to find parking was unavailable, it would've been a long walk. And given my Mum has dementia, I couldn't drop and leave her. That said, we circled for about 20 mins and someone left so despite initial panic, all ended well. Just something to keep in mind.
