The space
The Cottage @ Bagdale Hall has a bright and spacious open plan living, kitchen and dining area. As you enter the property, you’ll find the living area on the left. Featuring a statement brick fireplace with a log burner, a flat screen TV and two comfy sofas, this space is perfect for relaxing.

The kitchen and dining area can be found on the right as you walk in. Sleek in style, the kitchen boasts dove grey, high shine cabinets and modern appliances. With everything you could need to prepare meals during your stay, you can make the most of your self-catering stay in Whitby. The dining area includes a white dining table and matching chairs.

Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an ensuite shower room. The second bedroom also features a king size bed and the third is a single. Each bedroom has a flat screen TV and premium bed linens to ensure you have the most comfortable stay.

The family bathroom features a bath with an overhead shower, WC and basin.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

There is free on site parking for one vehicle.

Stayed for 3 nights, the property was easy to find, parking space behind the black gates. It was in an ideal location situated behind the hotel on Spring Hill. Very close to everything you need and within walking distance to sea front. Comprehensive online guide provided containing all the information you need for your stay. Train station is just around the corner and a handy Coop supermarket for any essentials needed. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, would highly recommend The Vault. We didn’t cook in kitchen so unsure of what was available but the house overall was well kept and very clean. Bedrooms very nice size and comfortable beds. Heating worked well and house was toasty when heating on. Loved our stay here and would definitely think about booking again. Didn’t need to contact host during stay as everything was perfect.

We loved the house. It was in a great location with private parking. 5 star! It was clean and comfortable and we would definitely book it again.
Things I would change for future guests? Provide more than 1 key. It’s not safe to leave the house unlocked or be locked inside just because half the group want to stay out later at night or go out earlier in the morning . Provide a Mattress topper for the beds especially the main room - it’s so hard & replace the pillows. Lastly give clearer instructions of where the property is. (I only knew where it was because of previous reviews and I knew the area well prior to visiting.)
That said we were very happy here had a lovely stay and will return.

This was a perfect place to explore Whitby. Fabulous size as we had two teenagers in tow. Bedrooms spacious , three toilets and the kitchen extremely well equipped! The off street parking was a fabulous bonus and we will definitely be back again. A little tricky to find but it’s behind black gates midway up Spring Hill .

A perfect location so close to everything you’ll need for a perfect stay in Whitby.
You can close the front gates to keep the dog secure as well which was helpful.
We will definitely be back
