It's a very practical and convenient house, so close to everything! There's complimentary soap and shower gels, teabags, coffee and sugar. I'm not sure if I missed this on the inventory when I booked, but there is a washer and drier available, which is brilliant! And a dishwasher! However there was only one dishwasher tablet, and no laundry tabs. The property having it's own driveway/private parking space for one car is also great. The heating is brilliant, so easy to use with a Nest thermostat, and the house is gets warm very quickly. We had to turn the heating off for the day to make comfortable use of the wood burner. It's a bit impersonal... Grey and magnolia. Artwork of the Abbey or Whitby would have made it so much nicer. The kitchen knives are blunt and the batteries need replacing in the remotes. The king bed is very firm - bring a mattress topper! Noticed a few cobwebs in corners and behind the blind in the bathroom. That's minor, though. Great place to stay overall 😊

A great place to stay - well furnished and spotlessly clean - parking for 1 car is a bonus. My only niggle is that it was hard to find - it was early evening so dark and raining but still couldn't find #1 - the apartment itself doesn't say anything on the door. It's a small niggle though as we would go again

Outstanding location and comes with a parking space. We have stayed at this house before and have enjoyed all the benefits of staying at this property. I thoroughly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Whitby.

Perfect location,had a good stay due to this and the size of house for 4 adults and 2 dogs however House in need of some extras such as no towel rails for towels,toilet roll holders or shelves in bathrooms . No mirror in on suite for shaving . No hanging space in 2nd bedroom and not enough hangers. No hairdryer available and coffee machine supplied but wrong pods given to make coffee. Cleaning in house was good except for doors not being wiped down. Outside area had dirty seats and table that hadn’t been wiped down and area needed a good sweep. Would probably look at this accommodation again if we came because of location and for a weekend but needs some more personal touches to make it comparable in price .

Stayed for 3 nights, the property was easy to find, parking space behind the black gates. It was in an ideal location situated behind the hotel on Spring Hill. Very close to everything you need and within walking distance to sea front. Comprehensive online guide provided containing all the information you need for your stay. Train station is just around the corner and a handy Coop supermarket for any essentials needed. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, would highly recommend The Vault. We didn’t cook in kitchen so unsure of what was available but the house overall was well kept and very clean. Bedrooms very nice size and comfortable beds. Heating worked well and house was toasty when heating on. Loved our stay here and would definitely think about booking again. Didn’t need to contact host during stay as everything was perfect.

We loved the house. It was in a great location with private parking. 5 star! It was clean and comfortable and we would definitely book it again. Things I would change for future guests? Provide more than 1 key. It’s not safe to leave the house unlocked or be locked inside just because half the group want to stay out later at night or go out earlier in the morning . Provide a Mattress topper for the beds especially the main room - it’s so hard & replace the pillows. Lastly give clearer instructions of where the property is. (I only knew where it was because of previous reviews and I knew the area well prior to visiting.) That said we were very happy here had a lovely stay and will return.

This was a perfect place to explore Whitby. Fabulous size as we had two teenagers in tow. Bedrooms spacious , three toilets and the kitchen extremely well equipped! The off street parking was a fabulous bonus and we will definitely be back again. A little tricky to find but it’s behind black gates midway up Spring Hill .

A perfect location so close to everything you’ll need for a perfect stay in Whitby. You can close the front gates to keep the dog secure as well which was helpful. We will definitely be back

Great property in an ideal location for walking access to everything in Whitby. Property was spacious, well-equipped and impeccably clean. Parking space was a definite plus in an otherwise very busy town. A little difficult to find initially (in the dark anyway!) but it’s behind the black gate opposite Princess Place.

This is the second time that we have stayed at this property. The location is fantastic being within spitting distance of shops, restaurants, pubs and other attractions. The other huge positive about this property is that it has a parking space which is incredibly useful, especially in such a central location. There are 2 bathrooms which is great, especially with two teenage daughters and the property is spacious and has everything that you will need for a stay in Whitby. Communication with the host was quick and effective and in reality, we didn't need to ask for advice as we had stayed here before and hopefully will again. Great property!

Bagdale Hall at Whitby was a lovely, private, peaceful place to stay. The accommodation was spotlessly clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The off-road parking space was welcome, and we were able to walk to everywhere we wanted to visit. It might help other guests to know that it's located directly opposite Victoria Place, behind black gates.

We are a family of 4 with a dog and overall we had a lovely stay, everything was as per the photos and description and some great extras such as tea/ coffee available. Only issue was it was hard to find. I think adding pictures of the gate/ entrance would help others find it.

Pretty clean, extremely well situated place. The place was completely functional. We never quite figured out the heating properly but were never cold. Hot if anything. Communication with the agency was good, perhaps a little too much… I kept getting texts and emails reminding of my check out time and date which felt a little unnecessary. This was definitely an agency run rental not a private house so it felt rather bare and empty and definitely lacked a little charm and homeliness. A welcome loaf of bread or bottle of wine or a note might have been nice. The place is owned by a hotel right next to it but strangely not administered by them. They were however extremely helpful and friendly with a few of our requests. Amazing location to explore the town and surrounding area which is all fabulous.

Accommodation was great from start to finish, any issues I had the host was quick to respond and resolve the issues! Property is exactly as described with photos matching so what you see in the ad is what you get, which was perfect and all we needed for our wee getaway! Location is perfect you just walk down the street and your in Whitby centre close to all that you need and want to visit! Private car parking which is hard to come by when looking for accommodation in Whitby!

We (family of 5) stayed here for 2 nights. The place is really well located with easy access to the centre of Whitby, but tucked away so nice and quiet. As other people have mentioned, it is very hard to find, but apart from that I can't fault it. The car parking space is a definite bonus, and the house is clean and as shown in the pictures. We will definitely look to book here again when we come back to Whitby next summer.

Great house and perfect central location. Only lcomplaint was check in was after 4pm and check out was 10am and not able to extend. These times could be changed to give guests more time in property.

We really enjoyed our stay. Although difficult to find (instructions need to be clearer), the property itself is beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean. Parking space for one car was a bonus. Right in the heart of Whitby with shops, bars and restaurants literally a 2 minute walk away. Would definitely return.

Me and my family spent 4 nights here and loved it. The location is fantastic being only metres from the shopping centre, bars and cafes. The property is spacious and comfortable and has an allocated parking space which is great. I would like to return in the future.

Excellent location for facilities, spacious property. Only negative is wholesalers next door were quite noisy and would park lorries across the private driveway each morning, blocking access (on double yellows) -hosts informed to hopefully sort that out.

The accommodation was wonderful and as expected. Great location, parking was easily accessible. The setting was clean and comfortable and incredibly spacious. My only concern was that there was numerous miscommunications from host & stay which was unfortunate and added additional stresses and a lack of clarity. The accommodation itself was perfect for our family holiday and would look to book again for our return trip.

Brilliant stay, so close to town and amenities. Very clean and everything u could think of was there eg towels, hand soap,washing up liquid, foil, milk, tea and coffee. We struggled to get the heating on when we arrived (all 5 of us tried)instructions said to just use the up and down arrows on the monitor to control temperature which didn't work. Turned out the actual thermostat on the wall next to the boiler had been turned off. So if u can't get it to work check that (it's tucked on the wall at the left side of the boiler). Once we got the heating on it was more than warm enough. The weekend we visited we had snow and gales that bad you couldn't walk along the front but we were nice and cosy. Great resource file in the house with local recommendations etc
