The space
Puffins Rest has a bright and cosy living area with two comfy sofas and a large window flooding the room with light. Fully equipped for self-catering staycations, the kitchen diner has everything you could need to prepare and enjoy meals together, and there is even cutlery and dishes for children available. You’ll also find a cosy log burner in the space.Outside you’ll find an enclosed, south facing patio area. There is wrap around secure decking with a south east and west facing terrace allowing daylong sunshine, and a largely grassed garden to the west side of the lodge. You'll be able to catch the sun all day long when outside at Puffin's Rest.
The main bedroom at Puffins Rest features a king size bed, whilst the second bedroom boasts a single bed, as well as a bunk with two singles. All beds are made using premium bedding to ensure you have the best sleep possible.
Modern and stylish, the family bathroom has a deep freestanding bathtub with a handheld shower hose, as well as a WC and wash basin. The king bedroom has its own ensuite with a shower, WC and basin. Towel rails are also available in both bathrooms.
The lodge is beautifully furnished so a luxurious and comfortable stay is guaranteed.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full lodge. The keys to the lodge are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.Puffins Rest is set across one level with four small steps leading up to the lodge. There is private on site parking for two vehicles.
This is a non smoking lodge, pets are not permitted and it is not available for stag or hen parties.

Check was a little tricky as we were not sent the gate access code only the lodge code so had to call Host and Stay who then sent a text . Clearer instructions on which gate to enter would have been good before arrival . Puffins rest is beautiful and very comfortable . Only 2 things that could have been improved . Glasses and cutlery were dirty so needed washing again before use. No sponges, washing up liquid or scourers to wash up. There is a dishwasher but things like saucepans etc really better washed. Only one tea towel to dry up with . These things are cheap to buy and would help guests keep the place clean and nice . Other than this we had no complaints as a wonderful place to stay.

we were blown away by Puffin's Rest. Beautifully decorated throughout, plenty of space for everyone as a family of 5 and we'll equipped too. The location is fab for visiting the local area. My main gripe was that the blinds didn't keep the sun out whicj meant the kids were up for the day at 5.30/6 each day! We will definitely return again.

Lovely weekend stay at Puffins Rest. Everything was as described and as per the other reviews. Perfect location to explore Yorkshire (whether by bus or car) but go prepared as there’s not much by way of shops / cafes. There is an American style fridge freezer and a fully equipped kitchen. Would recommend and return.
