Great location, beautifully furnished, nice linen and towels.
Charlie was very responsive and helpful.

We didn’t have a problem, however it is on the top floor with very low ceilings.

The fixtures,fittings,styling & furnishings were totalling amazing !!

We struggled to locate the apartment building as there were no Numbers on the building itself.. as did many others.. & the balcony furniture could have been covered to both keep it dry & free from gull poop…

Great location. Parking was a must and at the time of year found many spaces to choose from. Always good to have a balcony with a view. Beds comfortable

77 steps. I had a bad leg at the time of going. The second day I went out 3 times. Still managed it mind.

The apartment instantly felt like home and the sea view from the balcony is amazing. We would definitely stay again and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to friends and family.
The property is very clean and well equipped & the beds are super comfy

Property was not clean. Outside space especially as very dirty and not usable - this was why we chose this property. Photos showed view of pier but there was scaffolding up against the balcony so didn't get the view and we were not told about this in advance. Property was advertised as a 2 bed/1 bath but it was actually a 3 bed/2 bath. We thought we were paying the high price of £603 for 3 nights for a quality clean property but I suspect the price reflected it was actually 3 bed/2 bath.
I needed to clean the property but there was no cleaning equipment so had to go and buy some. They offered to get someone to come and clean but not until the next day by which time I'd done it.
Had to pay £250 to Superhog as a deposit - they also charged us £10 admin fee - they took our money 2 weeks before we arrived but we had to chase to get this back which hit out account 10 days after we'd checked out.

The 72 steps were not for the unfit. Quite hard going trying to get all your luggage up to the Penthouse apartment.

If you are 6ft tall and above, you would find this apartment quite difficult to manoeuvre about, low ceilings.

luxurious spacious apartment , lots of facilities to use like microwave, coffee machine and washing machine. Close to amenities .

very clean but missed a few areas like the balcony could have done with a sweep, clean and paint. Freezer inside needed cleaning. the worst bit were the stairs … 70 plus ! Never again and no lift! I was so out of breath not recommended unless you are reasonably fit.

Overall lovely property, generally clean with great views (stairs are demanding as others have said!) about a 10 minute walk to centre of Whitby up and down the cliff (so more stairs!) great having 2 bathrooms and shower pressure and heat excellent even when both on together. Includes parking permit and had no trouble parking on a Monday afternoon. Good communication with host company.

Whilst the property is overall clean there were some mud stains on carpet and paintwork chipped. Had issue with stained bedsheet on arrival which couldn’t be replaced until following morning (and I had to chase the next afternoon as still not done). Someone then came round within 30mins. I accept things happen but maybe the company should have out of hours assistance (not just someone to talk to) available for issues that need an instant fix. Could do with blackout blind in bedroom, woke at 4.30am every morning, although that did mean I caught a beautiful sunrise! All that being said I would recommend staying here.

The flat is in a great location and it’s very confortable. the sunset are unreal! We all have a great night sleep listening to the sea :)

I’d have love of the sofa on the balcony would have been cleaned! They had bird sh*t everywhere :(

Beautiful apartment with stunning sea views and a great location with easy access to the town and other attractions. The parking permit was a big bonus. We would definitely stay again.

Seagulls obviously to be expected to so close to the sea but the balcony furniture was completely covered in seagull poo which was a shame.

Balconies due to seagulls nesting nearby. Lots of stairs. Fine for us but may cause difficulties for anyone with mobility issues as there was no lift.

too many steps for any elderly visitors. seagull mess on the balconies that were not cleaned. furniture on balcony unusable because of seagull droppings. could have been avoided if they were covered or even tipped up.

The views from our room were absolutely beautiful.
The rooms were all decorated to a very high standard - we now want to re-decorate our house! We also loved how the kitchen cupboards were stocked with essentials - there was even a pint of milk to make a cup of tea on arrival!

We couldn't fault the property. We really enjoyed our stay and we intend to re-book the same property in the future.

Had a lovely weekend in whitby. The apartment was very clean and had everything you could possibly need for a break away. The location was perfect as it was just a short walk to the main seaside attraction and communication and information on everything we needed to know was at hand. We really appreciated the parking scratch card and thought this was a really good idea so we could park near were we was staying. I would definatley recommend and would love to return in the summer months.

A really lovely apartment- exactly how it looks in the photos, lovely and clean and feels luxurious. Perhaps not for really tall people as the ceiling and beams are low - too low for yoga stretches too! Great bedrooms, lovely kitchen and bathroom. Nice to sit out on the balcony - great view. As a treat it’s great and I would stay again if I can afford it.

My partner and I stayed in the apartment for 2 nights. The apartment is really nice, modern, yet with a homely feel, and the view is fantastic. Bedrooms are spacious and comfy. The living room isn’t too big but it’s cosy and comfortable, and was perfect for two people to lounge. The kitchen is well equipped and we enjoyed a breakfast with the sea view in the morning. The location is great too as it’s right next to the sea front.
However our stay was spoiled by the fact that I left something behind, that disappointingly, has not been recovered.

I left my wash bag with all my toiletries and personal items in the bathroom. We contacted the agency Host & Stay, who manages the apartment the next morning to report it and ask for it to be posted it to me. To my surprise I was asked to ring in a few days as nothing had yet been reported found, or handed in to lost property.
Since then I’ve been in touch a few times and sent many messages asking for someone to call me with an update but that didn’t happen and I had to continually chase them for an update.
The conclusion to this story is that after 4 days of chasing, I have been told they contacted the cleaner who said the wash bag was not there.
The wash bag was definitely left in the property and it seems that it was taken and never reported found.
Apart from the fairly pricy content, there were a few personal items, and also items that I won’t be able to replace, which is the most frustrating and upsetting part.

I would like to say the way Host & Stay handled my issue was awful and far from professional.
Before our stay the communication from their side was great. But after we checked out and after reporting the left item, all I experienced was a lack of interest and very slow replies.
We have stayed in various places, hotels, b&bs and also many Airbnbs, local and abroad and have never experienced anything like this.
On the odd occasion when either myself or family left the personal belongings behind they were always found and were ready either to be collected, or were sent back to us, until now.
So, if you decide to stay in any apartment managed by Host & Stay, before you check out, please check the property thoroughly to make sure you don’t leave anything behind, as you may never see it again.
We planned on coming back to the apartment in summer to fully enjoy the sea location but I think it’s fair to say that using Host & Stay in future is no longer an option.
