Bedrooms were beautifully decorated and beds were comfortable.

Nothing really but just a couple of little improvements could be made like leaving bin bags, maybe a bowl for fruit, hairdryer, towels were bright white, clean, big and fluffy but could have done with smelling of fabric softener please!

Cute house on the inside, walking distance from most things to do in Whitby. All 4 bedrooms are good size and the amenities worked pretty well, so would recommend.

Ideal for a girls trip. Party of 7 ladies stayed in this house, plenty of room to accommodate us all. House is in a great central area, however if walking it is up a hill no good for anyone with walking difficulties. Any queries or questions Dale (owner) is prompt to reply. Would stay in this property again. Thankyou

Location was fantastic, comfy beds.

For the price, it was well worth it. Just a shame about the communication about the left item, a real let down at the end when it could have been easily solved with an item description.

Parts were unclean, e.g. the dining table was home made from pallet wood and there was loads of old food between the gaps of the wood.

Also had a message saying someone had left something after the stay but they couldn't tell us what it was (?!). We had 8 adults staying there and no one remembers leaving anything, so that was not helpful in the slightest.

Fantastic house just a few minutes walk from the harbour. Spacious rooms with comfy beds and everything you need for a weekend away.
Would definitely stay here again!

Great property in ideal location just 5 - 10 min walk into town. Property had everything you need for a short break by the sea. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay at property again and recommend to family and friends. Thanks!

Great location, less than 5 minutes from centre of town. Plenty of places to eat and drink even out of season.
Coastal town so all uphill on the way back, that's to be expected, so be prepared . But at least it is a short distance.

There were only 2 hand towels that we could find, and there were 8 of us.
So more hand towels available would have been good, but certainly not a deal breaker.

Although this house is not terrible, we were disappointed. We expected it to be smaller than the photos suggest but it realy is quite small. The location is great and the house could be lovely with some TLC. The living room needs some attention ie. re decorating by some who can actually decorate and not paint over plug sockets etc and more comfortable furniture as it feels like a waiting room instead of a living room.
The host communicates well. Bedding and bathrooms are clean and the rest of the house is ok apart from pan shelves and dish washer. There is some sort of white stuff growing in the living room too. Perhaps damp or just could be bad decorating (didnt want to get that close) and it smells fusty when you walk into the room. This is not a bad review. Just a note that with a little spending on it, it could be lovely.

Great and quiet location. Ample living space with all amenities and very comfortable beds

Not necessarily a dislike but caution was required going to the first floor bathroom, particularly during the night, due to the angle of the stairs. However, the sensor lighting ensured safety

Clean and comfortable beds and good location. Unfortunately the property is not well maintained. There is a fairly substantial damp issue in the living room with thick white mould growing on the wall in some areas. This causes a really strong smell downstairs in the property. Sadly this really impacted our stay, we were with young children so needed to be home in the evenings and not being able to use the living room meant that we had no space to sit and enjoy time together. We. found ourselves staying out as late as we could to avoid being in the house. In addition to this the house was quite mucky- floors were very dirty and dusty. Beds and showers were very clean though. The hosts communicated well and offered us a second clean but we were leaving at 10am the next morning so wasn't worth it in the end. They were in touch after we left and gave me the option to log a complaint - I did this 7 days ago but have not heard anything back. Hopefully we can get it sorted.

Brilliant location. Short walk into the main town.
Spacious and comfortable bedrooms.
Good communication from hosts.
2 bathrooms was great.

Poor WiFi- could not access smart TV.
Broken blind in the top bedroom.
Family rooms (lounge and kitchen) rather cramped when all wanting to sit together in the evenings.
Upstairs shower sprayed everywhere.
Parking could be an issue if no spaces are left on the road - we were lucky!!

How close it was to the Harbour

Back yard disappointing. It was small and unkempt.
Top floor bedroom blind broken.

Lovely house great for what we needed

The top of the stars bends and the steps are very narrow this led to my father who is not steady on his feet in a morning falling down them and breaking a toe

Fantastic location

No bath matts in bathrooms so after a shower or bath the floor is very slippy
Cooking utensils could be better. sharper knives, more chopping boards.
There was dog hairs on the floor in places
The living room big light didn’t work

Good location and house had everything you needed, had some lovely goodies left for our arrival. Bedrooms nice and big.

Found glass on the lounge floor, looked like it was under the rug but when that moved it dislodged the glass.

The house was close to the centre, but in a quiet area. Check in instructions were easy to follow and the beds were very comfortable. The heating was easy to control.
I booked this property for 8 people based on the location and bedroom layouts I.e. some single beds in the rooms, however, the property was sold after I’d paid the deposit and and the new owners had changed the bedroom layout. This caused some dissatisfaction with a couple of the guests and so we had to take a camp-bed and floor mattress. The Wi-Fi router was not working, I contacted the mobile number I had been sent and communicated by text with someone called Charlie. I asked for someone to phone me, but this didn’t happen, I was just advised that the problem would be reported to the maintenance team, so we had no Wi-Fi all weekend, which all 8 guests were not happy about. There was a dangling extension lead in the living room connected to other plug. Only 4 toilet rolls, for 8 people for 4 nights so had to buy more.
