The space
Beautifully renovated to the highest standard, Oliver’s Den has stunning interiors throughout, giving the property a wonderful, homely feel. This family and dog friendly property boasts a well-equipped kitchen, welcoming living room with log burner, and a dining room on the ground floor, all of which with the perfect mix of traditional and modern.The living area has two fabric sofas, a flat screen TV and a cosy log burner, so you can retreat here after a fun-filled day exploring Alnwick.
The shaker style kitchen is an olive-green colour which complements the otherwise neutral colour scheme. Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has modern appliances, dishes, cookware and utensils.
Ideal for socialising, the dining area includes a large wooden table and stylish blue, velvet dining chairs. You’ll also find original wooden flooring here, adding real character to the space.
On the first floor, you’ll find two bedrooms and the family bathroom. Both bedrooms boast king size beds, individual colour schemes, and ample storage space so you can make yourself right at home.
Head upstairs to the second floor and you’ll find the final bedroom which is great for little ones. Benefiting from comfy twin single beds and sloped ceilings, this room has plenty of style.
Modern and sophisticated, the family bathroom has a bath and overhead shower, WC and basin. A separate WC can also be found on the ground floor.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to Oliver’s Den are accessed via a key safe box and full details will be provided prior to check in.Free on-street parking is available at the front of Oliver’s Den and on surrounding roads on a first come, first served basis.
A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Oliver’s Den per reservation.

The house was very well situated and we managed to park right outside the door throughout our stay. Location was just a few minutes from the centre of town but also quiet and convenient. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and practical without being over- fussy and the space was ideal for the four of us. The pri fault was that for most of our stay the Internet was pretty well unreachable via the property's TalkTalk service. This problem was obviously known to the hosts as there were details provided of how to connect via a mobile network, but this also worked poorly and we gave up trying to use it. As a result, we were only able to watch a bit of "free to air" TV via the mobile network, but this also worked very poorly and we gave up trying to use it. Fortunately, we weren't. relying on connectivity for urgent work away from home so we were not massively inconvenienced, but this would make me reluctant to rent the property again.

Generally an excellent property, good facilities and easy to walk to the main street of Alnwick. When we stayed there were unfortunately ongoing issues with the wifi which sometimes didnt work. The property is managed by a company who werent v. flexible (the property wasnt booked the day we were leaving, but no late check out possible (despite offering to pay for it) with no clear reason given. Outside of these minor points, we would recommend.
