Located in a brand new development in Whitby, 5 Hoggarths Yard is a spacious holiday home with plenty of style. Ideal for family breaks or retreats by the coast with friends, this 3-bedroom house will provide the perfect base whilst exploring North Yorkshire.
The space
Ideal for socialising, 5 Hoggarths Yard has an open plan space on the ground floor which includes the kitchen, living and dining area. With grey high shine cabinets and white worktops, the kitchen is both stylish and practical. You’ll have everything you need for a self-catering stay as the kitchen is fully equipped.

The dining area includes a wooden dining table and matching chairs. Ideally located by the kitchen, you can easily communicate with the rest of your party as you prepare and serve meals.

The L shape ground floor space also includes the living area. With a brown leather Chesterfield sofa and armchair, you can cosy up with your loved ones in front of the huge flat screen TV and enjoy a night in. The space is also complete with a wooden trunk and a checked rug.

Outside you’ll find an enclosed patio area. This cosy space includes a seating area and charming nautical decorations.

Upstairs on the first floor, you’ll find three bedrooms and the family bathroom.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

There is one parking space allocated to the property, directly in front of the house. Guests should only use their allocated space.

Host & Stay use AI for their communication and customer service. An AI agent named ‘Charlie’ responds to messages with a stock reply. I raised a serious issue about a broken bed frame and only received ‘rest assured we will send a maintenance person asap’ message but nothing was done. When I raised further points I got a stock reply along the lines of ‘please do not hesitate to reach out’. Well I didn’t hesitate, but it didn’t result in the problem bed frame being fixed during our stay. Warning to others staying in the Whitby property - check that there are no missing slats on the bed frame before sitting on it. Otherwise you may fall through the gap like one of us did. Also the kitchen hobs had not been cleaned properly. Apart from that the property was in an ideal location and would be good value if not for a bed that was broken.

We visit Whitby quite frequently and in the past it's just been bnbs etc , but now we have the dog we obviously go dog friendly and tbh it's brilliant you have the place to yourselves, you can decide to cook or eat out, were we where was ideal as we stumbled across a little dog walk just up the Rd ,it's basically a big loop but you're able to leg you dog off the lead, you are a little out the back ay of the town centre so to speak but it's 15min walk. The place is perfect for two or four with a couple of dogs I would say. Clean , a good size plenty space and a bonus for parking even though it's only one allocated space. We will definitely look at booking this again.

I had a lovely visit to Whitby with my son & daughter and her dog gravy. The accommodation was very homely, clean and comfortable. This was my 5th visit to Whitby and my son and daughter would love to come back for another visit. I would definitely recommend staying in a Hostandstay

Really unclean, white shower curtain turned black with mould. Layers of dust over all the light fittings, walls, surfaces etc. Was a shame as would be nice if wasn't for the dirtiness of the property.
