The perfect getaway for two, Millers Coach House provides a fantastic base when staying in Northumberland. You can head to Hadrian’s Wall and explore the Northumberland National Park or explore the historic Hexham Abbey. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll be left with plenty of memories to treasure.

The space

Millers Coach House has a bright and welcoming open plan living area. With a high ceiling and spotlights, there is a modern, chic feel to this converted traditional property. Ideal for two, the living area includes a comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and electric fireplace. Enjoy your meals with your loved one at the dining area which includes a round table and two chairs.

The galley kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals including an a hologen hob, toaster, kettle, microwave/grill combination, and refrigerator.

Head upstairs to the bedroom and you’ll notice the same stunning style flow to this space. The twin single beds feature plush bedding and premium bed linens to ensure you have a great night’s sleep.

A private courtyard with outdoor seating is also available where you can eat alfresco style if you’d prefer. This area can accommodate bike storage, while an outdoor tap is also available.

Back inside and you’ll find the bathroom. Modern and clean, the space has a walk-in power shower, WC and wash basin.

A welcome hamper is provided for guests upon arrival at Millers Coach House.

Lovely quirky accommodation, very clean and everything you need. Line of communcation always open with air b&b all which was good. The door to the rest of the apartment was very stiff and couldn’t access it without lifting it, once we figured this out it was great. We did end up leaving early as our 14 month daughter couldn’t settle there, would be great with a non mobile baby but the mini stairs were an accident waiting to happen for us. Be great in a couple of years time when daughter is older. Could really do with blackout blinds on the top windows too, we actually stayed on the sofa bed downstairs because it was too light upstairs none of us could sleep. It is also very close to the road which isn’t great if you are a light sleeper, but we had read this in a review so it wasn’t a surprise. Parking was fine, managed to get a space on the lane seconds away. Everything else was lovely, very clean, very comfortable, nice touches with the wine and crisps and milk in the fridge.

The video sent prior to checking in was very helpful for accessing the property. We had an enjoyable stay to see in the New Year in Hexham. Good friendly atmosphere in the town and some excellent places to enjoy a meal and a drink. The cottage is in a nice part of Hexham with a handy Co-op nearby. There is no dedicated parking but found no difficulty finding a space. Good bus services past house. The property has been tastefully furnished and is well equipped. We were there during a cold period, but the central heating generally kept the living room and sleeping area comfortable. The entrance door opens directly into the kitchen area. The small kitchen has no heating and so was always cold. This is not helped by the fact that the entrance door is draughty compounding the chill. The kitchen however, was only really used for preparation of breakfast and snacks. Nice powerful shower and everything was spotless on arrival. The property was nice and private, would stay again.

Nice place. Kitchen very small but adequate for our short stay. The road was a bit noisy so light sleepers may need ear plugs.

Very nice place, felt private and very comfortable and chilled with plenty within walking distance as well as easy to find a place to park really close to the location.
