Milbanke House is a little gem in Seaham, ideally placed for a peaceful few days away and was just what I was looking for. The house was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with everything I needed. I was able to walk into the town centre within a few minutes and there are plenty of shops and cafes along the way. There are lots of lovely places to visit nearby too. The hosts were very helpful and fast to respond to my texts and I felt very happy with my choice. I’d happily recommend Milbanke House to anyone looking for a base to explore County Durham and the surrounding area.

A friend and I spent a lovely weekend here. The place was peaceful, clean and in a great location. Beds are super comfy. Side note, we found limited cleaning products and cloths which wasn’t really a big issue we were happy to contribute. The neighbours were lovey and were also the locals, they were happy to give us great locations and parts of the coast to visit. We would be delighted to stay again! Thank you ✨

The house was a lovely find. We usually stay further down the coast in Roker (which is also lovely) but it was booked. But we are so glad we found this property instead. The house is very tastefully decorated with lovely comfy furniture. The beds were especially comfy and we both slept really well. Even though it was near the main road, there was little to no traffic noise. There was everything we needed for our stay and we would really recommend to others to stay here. I think we will definitely be back at some point.

The ideal spot for a quick getaway. We were close to the beaches and town centre but had 2 very comfortable and peaceful night's sleep.

Was a lovely little Airbnb. Be perfect for anyone wanting to visit Seaham and be right next to shops, pubs and restaurants and also right next to the coast.

Stayed one night for the Great North Run. Despite the decent weather, there was quite a serious rising damp problem behind the TV (which doesn't receive the main channels - you will need a BBC iplayer and/or ITVX sign in to watch them) so much so that white spores had begun to form on the wall. The same can be found by the back door. Aside from this, all was well until we discovered that the ensuite shower was completely dead - not ideal as we all had to use the one shower in the main bathroom the following morning for an early start. Awaiting response from Host and Stay regarding this.

Great spot . Near to supermarket. Easy to explore and only. Few minutes from beach. Clean, comfortable and cosy. Would definitely recommend.

The property was nice and in a central location to local amenities. Rooms were all a good size and description of property was accurate. Host was very responsive with messages. Two things for improvement. There was clear damp stains on the walls in the livingroom which looks to have been there for a considerable amount of time. The amount of upselling came over as very pushy and removed the personal touch you often get either Airbnb. For example offering early checkin but it was chargeable by the hour didn’t come across too well

Amazing place to stay & the ideal location as right on the harbour! Will definitely be returning and rebooking the same place as it’s close to all our family. Would definitely recommend, hosts were also very helpful

Lovely place. Peaceful, comfortable, clean, well equipped and nicely done out. Excellent communication and very thorough guidance to the accommodation provided. Handy spot for visiting Seaham, you couldn't do much better.

We have stayed in a few places as we are working and this was the best so far! Just could do with a couple of armchairs in the front room if more than 2 staying as only on moderate settee in the front room. But lovely, and perfect location

Four of us and one dog stayed here ahead of me taking my part in the great north run! The house was lovely and spacious, great location, really clean and fab facilities! I would recommend slice pizza, it was the tastiest pizza I’ve ever eaten

We were glad to find a house on our dates that accepted dogs, however the single couch in the living room was extremely uncomfortable and no other alternative and where you’d expect 4 people to sit I do not know, the tv did not have terrestrial channels only LG and the living room looked cold and unfinished. The fridge was not refrigerating and we had to throw food away. On phoning host and stay I was informed that engineers had been out to it on the 15th July and said it was ok. It looks in good condition but not doing the job. Sort all the above out and we would look to book again as it was spotlessly clean Thank you.
