Brilliant location with ample parking for two cars. Great views of the Abbey. Comfortable with a modern kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen well stocked with everything you’d need, although we ate out during our weekend stay. Would stay here again.

Difficult to control the temperature on the radiators, so sometimes they went off even though the room was cool. When we first arrived, the electric kept tripping, rang the agents and they quickly sent out a maintenance guy. No further problems after that. Sofa bed is a bit dated.

Great stay at Farthings lovely spacious, clean bungalow so close to the centre of Whitby and with parking too. As stated in other reviews the WiFi code provide by Host and Stay is incorrect, there is a number missing, if you look on the back of the router in the hall the correct code is on there.
Will definitely return hopefully in the summer when we can make use of the outdoor space and view of the abbey!

We had a fantastic stay at this property in October ‘24. Great location just a couple of minutes walk to the centre. Nice quiet cul-de-sac with private parking for a couple of vehicles. Lots of good recommendations were provided for places to visit and dine. Very spacious lounge/kitchen diner. It seemed everything had been thought through very well as everything was provided even a torch, as its quite dark and on a slope leading up to the house. Didn’t get to enjoy the outside space due to weather but lots of places to sit. Would definitely visit again.

The good: Excellent location for Whitby with dedicated parking at the house. Fresh remodel so the kitchen and bathrooms were great. Nice large flat screens in two rooms. Train station and CO-OP 5 min walk. Booked a three day stay.
The not so good: Upon checking we had no hot water downstairs. (kitchen, bathroom, laundry.) Contacted the non-local corporate host and got a canned "Thank you for reaching out - we've received your message and will get back to you as soon as we can." It took two days before a maintenance person could enter (only after I had to leave my one key in the lock box so they could enter.) and "reset" the hot water heater timer.
The upstairs shower did have a dedicated water heater built in for that so we were able to carry water downstairs to clean dishes for two of the three days.
I am truly hoping that things get sorted at this location as it would be a place I'd like to return to some day.
