The space
Lemonade Arch is bright and spacious with striking, luxury interiors. On the ground floor, you’ll find a large utility room, shower room with WC and comfortable sitting room. The property features a washing machine, dryer and ironing facilities so you can make full use of your self-catering stay.Head up the stairs to the first floor and you’ll find a beautiful open plan kitchen, dining and living area. This stunning space includes a traditional, grey kitchen with a huge island and modern appliances. It is equipped with a coffee machine, oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge and dishwasher so you’ll have everything you need for your stay.
As well as the breakfast bar style island, there is a solid wood dining table. Perfect for family breakfasts or evening meals with friends, this space was made for socialising. Whether you’re cooking up a storm in the kitchen or ordering in a takeaway, nothing beats spending a cosy night in with your loved ones.
You’ll instantly feel at home in Lemonade Arch. The living area is made up of three comfy, leather sofas and a flat screen TV. Snuggle up and relax on the sofa after a long day of exploring Whitby.
You’ll also find a family bathroom and a bedroom on the first floor. The family bathroom is contemporary and spotless with muted grey tiles and ultra-modern fittings. It features a bathtub and overhead shower, so it is ideal for families with little ones.
The first bedroom is a calming and clean space. With a comfortable, King size bed and plush bedding, you’ll feel relaxed in no time.
Take the stairs up to the second floor and you’ll find a further four bedrooms and a second family bathroom.
The main bedroom is large and bright with stylish interiors. It boasts a Super King bed as well as a single bed. It also has a striking free-standing bathtub in the corner of the room. Blocked by a partial wall, there is also a toilet and sink area. Ideal for families, this room is both luxurious and practical as the Super King bed can also be made up as two single beds if this is more suitable for your stay.
Upon entering the next bedroom, you’ll be welcomed into a light and tranquil space. Skylight windows arch over the bed so you can gaze at the stars from the comfort of the Super King Bed. This room also boasts an en suite with a large, walk-in shower.
The final two bedrooms have the same chic style which flows throughout the rest of the property. Complete with double beds, they’re ideal for couples.
The family bathroom on this floor is stylish and fresh. With grey textured tiles and a and a modern mirror, it is a stunning space. It also features a bath with an overhead waterfall shower.

Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.There is free parking on the premises for two cars. Additional free parking can be found nearby, and full details will be sent to you before check in.

The property was comfortable but main issue was parking which is not clearly marked at the property and our spaces were taken by someone else which made it very difficult upon arrival in the rain and in the dark. 4pm is also a late check in time compared to a number of other properties we have stayed in.

lovely clean townhouse style accomodation. could have done with fairy liquid and more dishwasher tablets. beds were too hard for the majority of guests. brilliant location and great communication from the host. location as described by host, a short straightforward walk in to Whitby.

Location is excellent for walking access to the old town, pubs restaurants & shops. The decor & furnishings are lovely & modern. It was roomy & comfortable for our party of 8 friends, some room sharing. The beds were really comfortable . The kitchen is well stocked to self cater if required. The house was mostly nice and clean. We had a wonderful weekend break & will book a return visit in the future.
The standard of house keeping needs a bit of an improvement. Some of the towels were worn out, ripped & holed. Stains were seen on some of the bedding. It was noticed that the carpets could have been vacuumed better, stray hairs & bits were found in some of the bedrooms. The shower in the en-suite room needs a good old bleach on the door runner as a seasons load of black mould is there. The ‘master suite’ is strange with an open bathroom & toilet in the room. It really needs a wall & door for the toilet. There wasn’t a mirror in this room either. A bit more storage in the beds rooms would be better, along with hooks on the doors for dressing gowns etc. more wine glasses. Think there was only 2, the rest being bubbly glasses.

Lemonade Arch is a lovely property, the social area on the first floor was perfect for the family. Bedrooms were clean and the beds are comfy but there is a lack of storage for your clothes. The kitchen requires a restock of some essentials; all the kitchen knives were extremely blunt, couldn't even chop soft veg with them, so we bought a new kitchen knife to use during our stay and a lack of pans to cook for the number staying. There were only 3 mismatched wine glasses - not great if you were a party of friends staying and some of the crockery is chipped.
Property is advertised by Host and Stay as suitable for under 2yrs but guests should note there is no provision for this age group; no travel cots available or high chairs and clearly there are open staircases across the three floors.

Stayed at Lemonade Arch in Whitby with 8 mates that I’ve know for over 40 years. The accommodation was excellent lots of space and bathrooms! Theres about 6 bedrooms all very nice and lovely living areas. Host & Stay/air bnb were brilliant with e mailing information about the accommodation. All in all a great weekend! Thank you

Great location which is close to the site of Whitby and access to the Cleveland Way. Good parking and the accommodation (we had 2 cars). The instructions as regards access to the apartment are very accurate but need to be carefully read i.e. easy to confuse with no 3 Lemonade Cottage.
Host and Stay provided a useful app for the location and the accommodation was as described.
Comfortable beds and good general facilities for our needs (we ate out for lunch and dinner). All-in-all a great base to explore Whitby and surrounding places.

Stayed in it about 4 years ago in March & it was immaculate, in fact i think we were the first people to stay in it.The weather wasn’t so nice then so didn’t need windows open.
Could do with ceiling fans in the bedrooms because with the windows open the traffic noise is very loud on one side and the seagulls nesting on the other make a right row. Needs more hanging space in some of the bedrooms and basically think the place is due a freshen up (lick of paint & new carpets etc )the stairs are very creaky so much so that if someone gets up early it wakes others when they go downstairs
Other than that it possibly wants a proper deep clean skirting boards etc. between cushions on sofas etc

Property is in great location. Plenty of bathrooms for 8 adults and 4 young children.
Don’t think main oven was working properly. Could have been doing with a few more glasses and tea towels. No where to hang clothes in some bedrooms. Car parking a bit of an issue. Two allocated spaces were fine, but 2 of our cars parked on street and one was damaged over night.

The location is really great. Walking distance to everything.
We really liked the large utility area downstairs as we had a pram and it was easy to get in there, no steps, and to leave it down there out of the way. Also great for storing coats, shoes and beach stuff that the 2 grandkids had. There was also a shower room off the utility, plus washing machine and drier down there, which were very handy.
There was plenty of space for all of us, 6 adults, 2 children and a baby. It’s a great place for a family get together.

Really good location, good rooms and having the 5 bathrooms was great. Was a nice social space for our family and so easy to get into centre of Whitby but there are good restaurants, and coffee place all 5 min walk.
The kitchen wasn't well stocked and it seemed like the place wasn't properly restocked. There was a coffee machine but only 1 pod, there was washing up liquid but only enough left for 1 wash. There were no oven gloves, only 1 teatowel and limited pans.

This property is described as “luxury” and “spotless”. This is our experience:
We (a family of 10 people) arrived on Christmas Eve to find there were 5 forks in the kitchen. Issue not resolved in time for Christmas Day. Lack of appropriate glassware and number of plates were chipped.
Dustballs on staircase and dirt on window sills. Walls were scuffed. Rubbish from previous occupants left in one of the rooms. Showers filthy and mouldy.

Perfect pad for a group. We had 6 adults, 4 children and 2 dogs. Enough space for all and bedrooms/bathrooms very good. Host excellent, lots of communications and assistance.
Only gripes:
1) There was only 1 parking space, so had to mess around finding other parking.
2) No hand wash in any bathroom or toilet, which was odd and should be a given.
3) No dishwasher tablets. Only expected 1 or 2 to get us going. Meant the first night, we had full dishwasher and pots everywhere (being a large group) as couldn’t put dishwasher on
4) Not a gripe but just for info, no outside space, so dogs couldn’t just go out to use the toilet.
All in all though a great place and location. Would return but would love some hand wash and dishwasher tablets please! Plus the 2 car parking spaces promised.

The Location is quiet but just 5-10 minutes walk to the center of the town. Kitchen, Dining and sitting areas are well-equipped and spacious enough to cater 10 adults. Beds are comfortable. Rarely to have 5 baths and 5 bedrooms at the same. That’s a credit to this holiday home.
No hooks to hang towels and/or clothes in bathrooms and bedrooms. A little bit inconvenient 😅

The location was excellent, just a short walk into Whitby town centre. The house was just perfect for us and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Great location. Near the centre of Whitby but far enough away to be quiet. Easy walking distance. Good range of double rooms and plenty of space to relax.
Parking for two cars only but this is not a problem as there is free parking nearby. It's worth taking some dishwasher tablets, tea towels and bin liners if you are planning on doing much cooking.

Location was spot on here for access to everywhere we wanted to go. Five minute walk into Whitby itself surrounding costal walks and only a small car journey to other lovely areas. House was spacious and enough room for the nine off us.
Unfortunately the house itself was dirty. Clumps off dust on skirting boards and edges off bathrooms and bedrooms. The walls were all marked and the interior looked run down inside. There was small stains on bedsheets in one off the bedrooms. The outside road was incredibly noisy and busy cars constantly passing by.

Overall a nice stay. We had to clean most of the kitchen before we used anything, the oven and oven trays were particularly unclean. After this was sorted we enjoyed the stay. Room with bath very large. Other rooms small but comfortable. Dining/lounge area was nice and comfortable. A little noisy at night with cars driving past but the location was very good!

The good - good communications, the place is very nice , modern and spacious and easily fit 9 of us in. The location is perfect. A short walk to the front, with excellent bars and restaurants, shops and Whitby attractions

The bad.. 4pm check in is very late. Two hours after most places.
The standard of cleanliness was not up to scratch. The wooden kitchen table had a layer of grime on which made it sticky. We had to scrub it before we could use it. The bathrooms could have been cleaner too.

The property is in need of repainting. There were lots of scuff marks on walls etc.
The parking arrangements between the various properties in the courtyard caused confusion.

Fantastic house just the perfect size for 11 guests over 3 floors. A clean modern property which provides ample space. Location is spot on, so only a short walk in to town.
If there are more than 2 cars, as well as the 2 spaces available at the house, parking is available 5 minutes away on a residential street called Springvale. Cars are safe and others park there also, as there’s no charge or permit required.

Parking area is a bit tight in courtyard if all spaces being used. Living room area could possibly benefit from a couple of lamps rather than having main lights on all the time. But not a major issue.

This is a beautiful property.
Spotlessly clean, modern first class furnishings.
Comfortable, warm, endless supply of hot water.
I can honestly say it had one of the best equipped kitchens I have seen in a holiday house.
I can’t fault a single thing, amazing.
10 min walk into Whitby and 2 mins drive to Sainsburys.

Accommodation was perfect. The house was spotless and very nicely presented. We were a family of 8 adults, a toddler and a baby. Location is spot on , 5/10 min walk right into the centre of the town. Plenty of pubs and restaurants, advice would be to book well in advance before your holiday to avoid disappointment. We had a fantastic weekend x

Perfect place to go away with a large group of people. Easy to find and in a great location. Brilliant help when ever needed and a very welcoming place. Every single person loved the stay and we would recommend them to anyone

here was more room than we expected which was amazing for us. We have a large family and it suited us all well. We loved our stay here.
The only downfalls were
The parking there wasnt the best.
The heating was turned off the whole time we were there as it was way to hot. The beds are like sleeping on a plank of wood.
But over all we had a happy stay

Great stylish house in a fantastic location! Short walk to the centre of Whitby. Really clean and a fantastic house.

Lemonade Arch is great! The house is really well presented with all the amenities you could possibly need. The location is also perfect. I would 100% recommend and would definitely stay again in the future.

The house is extremely comfortable and very well equipped. The location is convenient for the town centre.
Just a note for people with pets.. there is no garden but other than that, it was perfect.

Really spacious, stylish place. Great for families & several couples.
Spread over 3 floors, with plenty of bathrooms and a large social area on the middle floor, loved the island in the kitchen, and all the finishing touches.
Looking forward to booking again in the future.

Excellent location. 10 minutes from town centre and 2 minutes from pub and chip shop. Quite expensive to stay but you get what you pay for. Quality.

Really lovely property, clean well set out and the perfect base to go and explore Whitby and all it has to offer. Every room is to a high standard and the beds were really comfortable
