We had a fantastic stay at Kittiwake house and would highly recommend it to others. We stayed as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children of 12 & 7. The house is very spacious and really tastefully decorated as well as being equipped with everything a family would need. The area felt very safe and the beach is a 10 minute walk away and a variety of shops, restaurants and cafes within a 5/10 min walk from the property. We used the local Monkseaton Metro aand it took about 15 minutes to get to the station from the house. There we no negatives to our stay and we would stay there again in future.

The accommodation is excellent for a comfortable stay in one of the most beautiful areas of northern England. We would definitely repeat.

A great house, within an easy walk of beach and amenities with a cool decor, lovely bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Although the front of the house is on quite a busy road, it’s very quiet inside the house and also there’s private parking for a small car. We loved the super comfy beds!

Really clean, well equipped house. Very comfortable and plenty space for us all. We managed to fit our car in the back yard with space for just the driver’s side to get out (we have a Mercedes GLA 250). We left the car there the whole time as everywhere so close. Easy reach of the beach and Spanish city and the other direction monkseaton metro station. Would highly recommend.

We loved this rental. So happy with the location and stylish decor. The flat had comfortable beds, soft nice sheets and towels. The kitchen was stocked with lovely dishes, brilliant starter kits, and good working amenities. We are hoping to come back very soon.

Kittiwake house was a lovely place to stay in the heart of Whitley Bay. Charlie was a great host and extremely helpful and quick to reply to messages. Lots to do around the area and only a short walk to the beach.

This is a really nice spacious home . We stayed as a family of 4 adults and a two year old child. The lounge and double bedrooms were spacious and having two bathrooms was a bonus. Great location for accessing beach, playground and shopping streets-we actually didn’t move our car for a week as everything we needed was close by. Good quality decor and appliances -would highly recommend.

Very nice house with plenty of space and comfortable beds, perfect for our family of 5. The location is great, the house is located on a safe, quiet street, and only a short walk to the co-op, restaurants and to the seaside. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Excellent location in Whitley Bay- close to the sea front and lovely independent shops on Park View. The house is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. It retains some original features which give the house character. We had a great weekend.

This stylishly furnished and comfortable house was a great place to stay over a birthday weekend. The location was great for exploring the local area, we used the Metro and buses to get around. Convenient for local shops, independent bars and eateries.

This was a wonderful home to stay in. We felt right at home and had no issues with anything. The surrounding areas are so great for families or even just walking fiends. The amusements near by and the Co-op, also being within 10 minutes of the Metro, made this stay even better. It was big and spacious and we didn’t feel fed up of each other like we would normally do on the last day! Just great.

We settled in well and enjoyed our stay, with proximity to beach and Spanish City. Unfortunately, we couldn’t park inside because our car was too wide to go through the shutter gate. But parked in nearby car park for £3 per day. Needed a permit for back road but none available, and inspectors came round from time to time. But overall a very enjoyable stay and would return if opportunity arises.

We live in the area and had an issue with our kitchen, so needed somewhere to stay VERY short notice. This place was fantastic for the whole family, really clean, lovely furnishings, excellent communication from the hosts. Walking distance to Park View and the beach - perfect for families. Would highly recommend.

The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is in a great location with the high street, seafront and metro station all within a short walk. Great space to relax in with well chosen fittings and furnishings!

Lovely house, ideal space for 5 adults. Easy walking distance to coastline and town centre. Plenty of places to eat and lots of takeaways too. The space for parking is quite tight, better suited for a small car but plenty of car parks nearby, free to park overnight and £3 for a day. This ticket during the day covers several carparks.

We loved staying at this property which has a brilliant location close to the beach and all local amenities, including a number of nice pubs and cafes. Our only minor criticism was that given we were there for a significant period of time it would have been nice to have a little more storage space for clothes and bags etc

I could not have loved this place more. It was so beautiful, and the location was perfect. Within minutes of walking you could be on the beach, or on the most beautiful high street filled with lovely shops and restaurants. We walked the dog on the beach every morning before starting our day. It was also a big and comfortable house. Everything about our stay was wonderful. I would definitely stay again.

We couldn't have imagined a more lovelier home in beautiful Whitley Bay. High ceilings, pristine furniture and very clean and looked after. We had a wonderful, comfortable stay and would happily return! Instructions were clear and helpful. All in all, exactly the experience we were after. Thank you!

This is the perfect destination for a weekend getaway. We had a wonderful weekend with family. Everywhere is within walking distance. All amenities are catered for in this property and we were very impressed with the communication with the hosts from the moment we have booked to the moment we have left. The property itself is bespoke with top of the range facilities to use. We cannot wait to book through Host and Stay again. Thank you for having us!

Great location to Whitley Bay, and to the metro for the city. A few downsides not listed: - Not enough cutlery, for all 5 of us. We ended up using the plastic ones. - Broken vase just turned around to hide it was broken. - Lasty - The parking fine obtained. One car was parked in the really small car area. No room for the other car so we parked it in front of the other blocking only the driveway to the property. We came back from the GNR to discover we had a parking fine. No mention of this in the guide (the owners have supposedly now amended). We had to park the car 0.5 of a mile away and pay separately for parking. Having a small child this was less than ideal and we ended up accidentally leaving my £140 trainers behind. So already we were £175 down with the trainers and fine. Owners declined to reimburse us for the fine. Do not park down the back of the property if you can't get into the small car area, make sure u park elsewhere. A lovely house with a few things letting it down.

We enjoyed our stay a short walk from the beach and found the house to be generally furnished/fitted to a high standard. The utility room had a large hole in the ceiling and the shutter for the parking space was broken which let it down slightly but these issues were relatively minor in what is otherwise a great property.

Comfortable house in a good location.  However, we found a broken blind, stains to the carpet and an area of missing ceiling on arrival.  From a card left by a contractor, it appeared that there had been a leaking pipe and a repair was in progress. As the card was addressed to them, this was clearly known to Host and Stay and they should have informed us. We had no problem with the damage waiver but couldn’t understand why the amount was not advised until the booking was confirmed and why this payment had to be made outside of  Airbnb. Compared to other properties we considered, this was one of the more expensive, and although we enjoyed our stay, the customer service could have been improved.

Had a brilliant stay in the beautifully renovated Kittiwake House. Very cosy and comfortable living room and bedrooms. Excellent location for a great selection of cafes and restaurants in Monkseaton and Whitley Bay plus only a few minutes walk from the Metro for exploring further afield.
