We booked this beautiful, spacious home to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday with a group of 20 family members and it was absolutely perfect. The house was even larger than expected, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably while still having great common spaces to gather. The kitchen and dining areas made hosting a big celebration easy, and the outdoor areas were a huge bonus. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up for a large group. Communication with the host was smooth and responsive from start to finish. Our entire group had an unforgettable time, and this house made the celebration truly special. Highly recommended for anyone planning a big family gathering or milestone event and we will definitely be back again

Absolutely amazing facilities and the place was absolutely spotless! Enjoyed spending time in the pool with the kids. the house had everything you could want, with the exception of plenty of toilet roll! was quite shocked that we only had half rolls supplied in each bathroom - which needless to say didn't last the first day with 20 people. For paying over £3K to stay I would have thought they would be happy to supply at least a couple of toilet rolls per room as per usual Air bnb places/hotels etc. We took everything we could think of, but didn't dream of having to take loo rolls. So had to take a trip out to Kielder to go and get some. other than the inconvenience of that, everything else was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be returning. I would highly recommend the house. its in a nice quiet spot, plenty of room and car packing space and not too far to drive to Kielder. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

An amazing place to stay with families. The pool was that added extra! Everywhere was large enough to accommodate our growing group and it was great to all be able to eat around the table at the same time. Would definitely think about returning in the future.

17 people and 2 dogs stayed for 3 nights for a 70th birthday. It was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. The water temperature is noted as taking a while due to the demands on the system and that was definitely the case. The house is welcoming, big and never felt cramped or full even with so many people. The kids enjoyed the gaming room and the pool and adults enjoyed the sauna. Will definitely be back!

I recently got married and we booked this house for the wedding party and family to have a few days away and celebrate. We could not have chosen better. The house is spacious and accommodating, the extras such as pool, sauna and games room went down a treat with everyone. We found the layout perfect for a large number of guests without feeling on top of each other, and the partial glass walls meant we could keep an eye on the kids but they could play independently. The only suggestions we would have is an improvement to the plumbing (the water temperature is quite temperamental), adding more outdoor furniture to be able to enjoy the grassed area, and the possibility of a pool table (even an outdoor one) would be perfect! All in all, we had an amazing stay and we will definitely be back asap.

We were celebrating a family birthday 11 people in ages 12 months to 70 years the pool was really appreciated we couldn’t use the garden due to weather conditions plenty of parking . The kitchen had a great layout with a table large enough to seat everyone lounge was comfortable bathrooms and bedrooms tastefully decorated the area was perfect for walking and cycling

A great place to stay! I went with my family of 20, from ages 75-10 and we all loved it. The bedrooms were all perfect and very, very clean. The surrounding area was gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend for anyone! Thanks again

We had an amazing stay here as a family and have already booked again! Location is brilliant. Facilities (the swimming pool for kids was amazing) were great. The kitchen and dining area was even more spacious than we anticipated and was the perfect hub for gathering. We never felt on top of each other & felt at home! The only real negative was communication via Airbnb ahead of our stay - although responses were very quick, information could sometimes be unclear and contradictory (for example when trying to establish the bed configurations). I’ve since spoken to some of the host and stay team over the phone about our new booking and they have been extremely helpful! In hindsight I would phone if wanting to clarify any information.

Great family home for a large family stay with a range of ages. Kids loved the pool. Fantastic kitchen/dining area where we could all be together as well as living room and games room to break off into as smaller groups. Home was very clean and when some family members arrived earlier, they were let inside which was great! Lots of local places and restaurants to visit, only a short drive away. Some issues with plumbing and water running cold for showers.

House was amazing and very well equipped. The mattresses on the beds were too soft but that’s a personal preference to have a firmer one. The time of getting in and getting out means you loose a lot of time and the cleaning fee of £300 was steep.

Crackin' View was a great place to stay for our large group. It is in a fantastic, peaceful location with lots of amenities to keep both adults and younger ones occupied. We had an issue with the listed amenities in that a coffee machine was listed. When the host was pressed to confirm the type of machine, we were told there wasn't one. When challenged that there was one included in the amenities list, we were then informed it was a Nespresso machine, so a number of our party duly purchased pods to fit. However, once we arrived we could not find said machine. When raised with the host we were informed there wasn't one despite being told prior to the trip there was! We were also advised there was no smoking either inside or outside the property. Again, on arrival we found ashtrays outside indicating smoking was permitted, plus the e-guide said smoking was allowed outside. Overall a good place to stay for large groups, but communication from host not always accurate.

We had a fantastic stay, our expectations were exceeded, the pool was great, the outside facilities were welcoming and the dining table was bigger than the pictures showed allowing us all to sit at the dining table. Highly recommend this to anyone looking to escape for a family gathering.

The crack’in view surpassed all my expectations! It was amazing from start to finish! With being 18 of us we were a little worried if was going to feel cramped but omg it certainly didn’t was more than enough room! We celebrated a surprise 60th birthday whilst there and fair to say the birthday girl couldn’t have dreamed of better! She LOVED the place! We will 100% be back, thanks for a beautiful stay making so many memories with our family

Dales place was perfect for what we needed. Large family of 18 people of all ages. Yet there was still plenty of space. Pool and sauna was a game changer. A coffee machine would be a great addition. Could have done with more black bags and toilet roll or just a note on the ad to remind people to bring extra. Overall we would go back and look forward to seeing an addition if a deck area at the back.

Amazing property, allowed our family of 15 to celebrate our Dad’s 75th Birthday. The house is perfect for large groups, especially with kids of all ages. The pool is perfect and safe, with glass windows to the living room, and the games room kept the kids occupied for hours! The local area is beautiful and private, allowing for a relaxing trip away. Thank you so much for everything, I cannot recommend this property enough!

A perfect place for a reunion of friends. Lots of space for activities (including outdoor space which unfortunately the weather did not allow us to utilise). The sauna and pool were thoroughly enjoyed. The large dining table made all meals very sociable and there were lots of pots and pans for cooking. There was no undesirable bedroom which made choosing rooms less competitive and all beds were comfy. Lots of blankets were provided across the house for warmth. The large sofa room comfortably fit all guests and allowed us to relax together. On one evening, we went to the holly bush inn for a meal, which was delicious and we would reccommend. Due to our large group size, a booking was required. The only problem was that the bins from the previous customer had not been removed meaning there was no space for our rubbish and the wind had caused rubbish to be spread across the front driveway. If you want to play ping pong, bring balls. Overall, we had a fun new years in this lovely house.

Had three nights at Crackin View on a family get together. Ages ranging from 57 years down to 9 months. We all had an amazing time with the pool and sauna being the hi light for the older children. The kitchen dining room an the lounge were great communal areas with plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. A great recommendation for a large family break

The accomodation was excellent for our family size. lots of rooms and lots of space! The kitchen was very well equipped for upto 20 people. All appliances very clean and in perfect working order in the kitchen. Good range of activities for the kids at home. The swimming pool was a pleasant feature that made it worthwhile. We really missed it on the first day as previous guests left it in an unusable condition. All in all, a value for money accomodation. Thank you
