This large, traditional Victorian property has been designed to a high standard, allowing its character to flow through the property perfectly. With five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a pretty courtyard including a hot tub, this stunning holiday home will provide a truly unforgettable stay with memories that will last a lifetime. Centrally located and sleeping up to 12 guests, this dog friendly property is ideal for family gatherings and friendly get togethers.
The space
Allium House has been furnished to a very high standard. With premium furniture and beautiful finishes, you can expect a truly luxurious stay.

Head to the living room and you’ll find a relaxing space with comfy sofas and a large bay window which allows light to flood into the room. Turn on the flat screen TV to keep up with your favourite shows or spend quality time with your loved ones.

The property has a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area. A real social hub, this space is great for relaxing with your party. The dining area includes a large table with ample seating for all guests.

Fully equipped for self-catering stays, the kitchen has everything you could need to prepare meals easily. Shaker in style, the dove grey cabinets are super stylish and help to maintain the combination of modern and traditional decor inside the property.

Allium House boasts five spacious bedrooms. There are two bedrooms on the first floor with king size beds, one of which also boasts an additional bunk bed. The rest of the bedrooms are located on the second floor, and they include a king, an ensuite double, and a twin (this can be joined to create a super-king upon request if more suitable for your stay).

There is a shower room on the first floor and the main family bathroom with a freestanding bath is located next door. There is also an additional bathroom (with a shower) on the second floor.

Outside you’ll find a welcoming courtyard with outdoor furniture, a hot tub, and an external WC. The perfect spot for a morning coffee or an evening tipple, the courtyard is a real added bonus to this beautiful property.
Guest access
Guests have full access to the property.

The keys to Allium House are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to your stay.

A parking scratch card is provided, allowing for free on-street parking in Whitby's 'W' Zone.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Allium House per reservation.

Please note that Allium House is located in a residential area so we ask that our neighbours are respected at all times and noise levels are kept to a reasonable level when inside the property and during hot tub use.

The house was perfect for our large group. The bedrooms were all a really good size and nicely furnished. The availability of a family room was a huge advantage and added to the flexibility of the accommodation. The dining/kitchen area with large table and small sofa provided a great entertaining area which we spent most of our time in.
Although we didn’t feel the need to use it much the living room had ample seating - 3 sofas - and was a comfortable space.
The configuration of bathroom, shower rooms and toilets was perfect which is not often the case when catering for a large group.
You couldn’t get a better location. It was in a lovely quiet street yet only a few minutes walk from the beach, the harbour, cafes, bars etc.

The property advertises a BBQ which we were unable to use. It obviously hadn’t been used for some time and hadn’t been cleaned by previous guests. It was full of old ashes and the grill was encrusted with the remains of food. We would have needed to purchase scouring pads and cleaning agents not available in the property but this wasn’t something we wanted to do whilst on holiday.
The BBQ should either be checked and cleaned by the housekeeping team or removed from the facility listings.

We couldn’t find any oven gloves so we were required to use the only tea towel provided which wasn’t very safe.

more information about keys and car parking earlier. Lots of emails about where to park, but not where to find the scratch card? Thought they would be emailed at one point? key code should be given first thing in the morning not 4 hours before checkin??
