Its location for the beach and facilities on the west and east cliff are spot on.
Modern and well equipped
Clean and tidy. Looked fairly freshly decorated.
We were quite happy with it being a basement flat. There is no sea view but you do get some daylight.

There was no scratch card provided in the property for the free parking. Luckily we met the cleaner who managed to source one for us.
Litter outside front door
Toilet seat needs mending.
Bedroom furniture, though new is rather flimsy and we can’t imagine it will last long.
TV remote is quite hit and miss with some unresponsive buttons. (This may be an easy fix)
Mattress could do with a cover /protector
Wouldn’t dream of using the outdoor seating provided at the back of the property.
Key safe quite difficult to work.

Very clean apartment and is really nice. Location really good

The only disappointment is that Beach Haven is the basement level of the building and no views of the sea unless you walk back up the steps. Needs to be a bit more clear on views.

Great location, nicely decorated and clean, included everything you need.

Just a couple of minor things, mattresses could be a little more comfy and the mirror raised in the back bedroom so that you can plug in the hairdryer.

The location was fantastic; right by Whale Bone Arch and the walk down to the pavilion. It was super comfortable and a great little flat. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was fully equipped.

There was no hand soap, bath soap, or shampoo which we didn’t think to bring since prior stays in these types of accommodation, it was provided.

The location was good.

It was not clean. The kitchen bin was full of smelly food rubbish. There were large stains on the living room carpet. The room smelt of urine. The toilet seat was broken. We only stayed 1 night out of the 3 that we booked. We contacted Host & Stay about the problems and after they had investigated they agreed that there were stains on the carpet but no smell. They are giving us the cost of cleaning as compensation but we feel that this is not satisfactory. They pride themselves on their high standards but clearly not in this case. We will not be staying at one of their properties again.

Location was perfect for us. It was a half basement flat which means in the summer it is cool to sleep at night. Kitchen was well appointed.

A non slip mat for the smooth bath would be a good addition. I was sent a video of how to access the main house which I entered. There was a key safe with a similar name which tried unsuccessfully to open. Eventually I realised the basement flat had separate entrance. Only my wife and I stayed but if four people stayed getting four round the dining would be difficult.

Perfect spot & garden level access made getting to and from dinner, drinks, the beach and everything else super easy! Highly recommend this spot. And, we were able to bring our dog!!! It was a perfect get away

We enjoyed a lovely few days in Whitby at this apartment. It is in a wonderful location, with the beach a stones throw away from the beach.
The apartment was modern and clean and included everything that you’d expect and the beds were dry comfy!
The only downside was that the apartment is in the basement so there is no view of the beach, there was no phone signal and outside the front door was quite dirty.
We were out all day on the beaches and visiting villages so it didn’t impact us too much!

Being harassed by emails in excess of 20 in 3 days toilet seat broken and un safe, mirror cracked in bedroom, carpet stained in bedroom, sofa's very uncomfortable. Skirting boards and blinds dusty, dog hairs all over sofa's. Toilet roll holder rusty!

The place was so clean and tidy, it had all the amenities! The bathroom was also very good. Heating was perfect and quick to start. Kitchen was lovely too with all the equipment and cleaning facilities provided. Best location in whitby! Highly recommend.

The accommodation is really well presented and comfortable. Really good facilities and everything you need for self catering. We took our own utensils but didn't need them as everything we needed was there. It was really clean and tidy. They had tea, coffee and milk ready for when we arrived. Again we'd taken our own as it wasn't expected but was a really nice suprise. Great location and good instructions for getting keys etc.

The parking was not great. There were no parking permits left for our stay as described. After half an hour of searching only to find there wasn't any. There is no phone reception so another walk down the road to find a signal to make a call to the office. Someone brought some after lunch the next day. By thus time we'd paid for the day we arrived and half the next day. I'm not sure if it's the policy but we only got 2 permits in the end. I know we were only staying 2 days, but you've got to park the day you arrive and the day you leave, so if your expected to find alternative parking for these days it should be made clear. We ended up paying around £25 for parking when as far as we were aware it was free. The blinds in the property look nice but do nothing for keeping out any light, sometimes practicality overrides aesthetics.

The Beach Haven was in a great location, just a short walk from the whale bones and beach. Lovely decor and great facilties. Perfect for a few days away.

I'm being pedantic but the bin and toilet roll holder in the bathroom were rusty. Also we were staying on the lower ground floor and although there was a small place to sit outside this wasn't inviting however this didn't bother us as we spent many mornings sat on the bench accoss the road overlooking the beach.

Cracking location, good value place to stay. Modern and well kitted apartment, nice touches with nespresso coffee pods, tea and milk. A few areas need a fresh coat of paint, but generally well kept and perfectly adequate for a family stay. Plenty of parking literally around the corner. If we were in Whitby again would be happy to return

Booked for a 2 night stay and was pleased when I first arrived and saw the amazing location! Close enough to the harbour to be involved and far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet with stunning views! The apartment had everything you could possibly need and was modern and comfortable- a real home from home. Information received from the hosts was superb, all delivered in a very handy online brochure and the Communication before and during was perfect- I felt very happy that I was dealing with professionals and that everything was in hand. We had a lovely stay, just exactly what we were looking for in a mini-break. I would definitely recommend and would use again. Couldn't ask for more!

The location was spot on. The beach was in front of us, what a view! A beautiful clean long beach. STUNNING!
The flat was clean, fresh towels neatly provided on the beds, clear instructions for tv / heating.
Great shower and bathroom.
Everything you required was provided for a break.
Lots of excellent eateries nearby.

It was a basement flat so there was some evidence of damp and a strange mark across the lounge carpet that could have been from a slug!

Modern facilities and adequate space for a family of four plus a dog!

Completely appreciate that it is a dog friendly property and we took ours but the smell of dog was very strong. The apartment had not been adequately cleaned before our stay - none of the surfaces were wiped down and the bath had a razor cover and other people’s hair in it! There were stains on the carpet and clumps of dog hair under the table - not ideal with a 10 month old crawler! We were given a parking permit for the “W” zones which was great until we for a £50 parking fine. When we looked closer at the parking permit it states for 2 days (we booked a 3 night stay) so we got in touch with Host and Stay who asked me to send photos and an email and they would rectify the fine. I have now had an email saying “had I let them know they would have happily dropped off another pass but accept no liability for the fine”. Surely based on our booking the pass should be reflective of the amount of days stay?! Yes it’s a lovely place and great location but this has really tainted our stay.

Very modern decor, excellent central location. The kitchen floor was not clean, it was sandy but the rest of the property was spotless. The only thing that could make the property more comfortable would be to have a TV in the bedrooms as the sofas are quite small in the living room. These are very minir points though and should definitely not detract from this lovely flat.

Great location, very modern, heating and hot water brilliant. Everything you need for a self contained stay inclusive of a washing machine. Bright and spacious. Decent size bedrooms and good mattresses. The beach was just across the road and its a short walk into town

Sofas were a bit shallow. We had to take the back cushions off and replace them with scatter cushions. Coffee cups too big for the machine. Didn't realise it was a basement flat.

Excellent well decorated and quiet flat lovely bedrooms and excellent location too. Parking is a bit if an issue but hosts offer a scratch card which is really helpful. Really enjoyed our stay and great communication with hosts. Highly recommend staying here
