This is our first bad review on Airbnb! The rooms were well appointed and very comfortable - the bathrooms had good showers. There were cobwebs all over and thick dust on all the plants and many surfaces. Not many Sachets of shampoo or of Milk and instant coffee - no different to a Travellodge. There were 4 tea bags to last us the weekend so we had to stock up on all the essentials. The front door is jammed shut or locked off or something and just didn’t work, which we weren’t aware of. There is no courtyard at the back so we struggled to let our dog out without disturbing the neighbours. This isn’t really a dog friendly place. The TV was good and the sofa comfy, kitchen space nice. It is advertised as with its own parking but this is not correct, it is street parking only and we had two vehicles, this must be amended. We travel in a van that we prefer not to leave on the street overnight. They tried to sell us additional insurance package or make us sign a damage waiver.

Choose this cottage as had 2 good double bedrooms. Beds were v comfy and nice to have bathroom each. Nice to be able to walk to pubs, we liked White Swan.

lovely little cottage could use door draught excludes the wind sure whistles through ! couldn't get the dressing table bottom drawer to stay closed . minor things that wouldn't stop us coming back if it's still an Airbnb!

Spotless and well presented property, lovely location and looked just like the photos. Lots to do (with a car) in the surrounding area. Would recommend Feather & Beak Restaurant which is just a little outside Kirbymoorside but walkable, and served fantastic food and offered great hospitality.

The house has very nice comfortable beds and the bedrooms are a decent size. The bathrooms were also nice, clean and great water pressure in shower. Upstairs in property was great and couldn’t really fault that. Downstairs however is not very comfortable with very limited and uncomfortable seating for 4 people. There should be 2 sofas and one with 2 hard backed chairs. No place for 4 people to sit and eat also. The kitchen was fine and that was reasonably clean. But the whole place needed a good dusting as lots of cobwebs and dust. Floor in lounge also didn’t seem to have been hoovered and there was debris visible and hairs on the cushions . We flagged this and cleaner came to re-clean but they left the cobwebs and hairs we reported.

We stayed at 20 Dale End in kirkbymoorside. Great cottage, loads of space over 3 floors and well renovated with great features and amenities. Host very responsive and plenty of information for an easy stay.

Enjoyed my stay with my dog in the beautiful home away from home. Lots of walks on the doorstep and on the foot of the moors. Local dog friendly pubs and amenities to hand too

Lovely old cottage, nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds and nice linen. As others have reported, bar stools are wobbly on the tile floor. Easy access to the moors or main route between Thirsk and Pickering.

A lovely house with a cottage feel. Very comfortable stay however slightly interesting check-in. We had to sign and pay a damage waiver and couldn't get an access code until we did this. A shame as so many amazing places on Airbnb are now run by bigger companies and not everyday people. Something to consider when booking as we much prefer talking to private hosts! Also no wifi at all - which is a first! Still a lovely place and maybe the cleanest I've ever seen!

This is for 4 people with no where to sit and eat. Kitchen has 3 stools which are very unstable and only 1 pan to cook with, knife & forks are flimsy and cheap. No clingfilm or foil but you do have a dishwasher with 3 tablets but only 6 cups plates and so on, soap liquid would have been a lot simpler. There is a coffee table with two bolt upright backs which are not comfortable to sit on. Bath needs a bath mat in for safety. Most of this was said previously in other reviews. Tacking care of the little this makes a difference giving lip service doesn’t .

Although the place is well located for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and has all the listed amenities, we were overall quite disappointed by the stay. Firstly be aware of the security deposit taken by Host and Stay for the stay- £260 additional was taken from my account prior to arrival and I will apparently get £250 of this back 7 days after checking out. This is not something I've experienced with other air b n bs. On arrival, the property was unfortunately not very clean. It had been cleaned since the last stay but that was clearly a while ago as there was a build up of dust and debris throughout the property which I ended up having to clean myself. Finally the furniture is quite cheap and wobbly and there is nowhere for 4 people to sit and eat which was disappointing. on the plus side the showers were powerful and as stated it was a good location.

The property is lovely and modern in a beautiful, quiet location & very clean. It does say that the key box is located at the front door but is at the rear of the property & we struggled to find it initially in the dark. Also it says the property has Wi-Fi but no code/ password is given. Also if you want to eat in the property, for 4 adults you would struggle as there isn’t a table & chairs. Just 3 bar stools.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was like new - beautifully decorated, clean and cosy! Good location with lots in close driving distance. Good local pubs for food in walking distance.

Great place. All very comfortable. Quality furnishings and fabulous beds! Showers both have excellent water pressure. Good for a work stay.
