The space
Cosy Coastal has a light and spacious living area. Reminiscent of Malibu beach houses, there is a laidback and minimal look. Featuring white paneling, light wood and neutral colour schemes, there is a tranquil feel. A large flat screen TV and a chaise lounge style sofa make the perfect setup for relaxing after a fun-filled day at the beach.The apartment has a bright kitchen diner. Boasting modern appliances and cookware, you’ll be able to prepare meals easily during your stay. The dining area includes a white table and four wooden chairs so you can gather your loved ones together and enjoy home cooked meals together.
The family bathroom is located on this floor and features a shower, WC and basin.
Take the stairs up to the next level and you’ll find two bedrooms. Both rooms have sloped ceilings and skylight windows which create cosy spaces. The master bedroom boasts a comfortable king size bed and an en-suite shower room. Perfect for children and teenagers, the second bedroom is a twin.
Golden Lion Apartments is home to three separate apartments with a maximum capacity of 8. If you are looking for a stay for a large group, there are often opportunities to rent all three apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.
Home Truths:
- The apartment is located in the centre of Whitby and is therefore subjected to seagulls noise.
- The apartment is opposite a pub and there can be noise, especially on the weekends.
- The building has a number of floors and the stairs can be tight. Please note Cosy Coastal is on the third and fourth floors. The apartment therefore may not be suitable for those less physically able.

It wasn't clear the apartment was on the third floor, apart from that the location was great. The key box to the apartment is a little temperamental. The apartment was clean & cosy with good views from the lounge window. The W parking location is near by but they go quickly. Will defiantly go back to this accommodation. Great stay

Excellent location. Lovely decor in the flat and it was clean. However general lack of basic kitchen utensils (eg corkscrew) no condiments (salt/pepper) no kitchen roll, so it felt very sparse. Heating also an issue. The downstairs bathroom radiator was not working and the upstairs bathroom has no radiator at all so no facility to dry wet towels making showering a cold and unpleasant experience. There is no central heating in the property just 2 electric heaters in each of the bedrooms. There is some under floor heating but the pre set timing of the heating is not great leaving the apartment feeling cold. Would I stay again… yes if I was only using this as an overnight stay not somewhere to spend anytime inside.
