Clarence Place is a charming mid-terrace property, resting in the bustling seaside town of Whitby. There are three bedrooms within the property, including two doubles and a single, and a large family bathroom. The ground floor is home to a kitchen and dining room, while outside you’ll find an enclosed yard. Clarence Place is a delightful dwelling for a families or groups of friends looking to explore the coastal delights of Whitby.
The space
With a woodburning stove and high ceiling, the living room has a traditional grand period property feel. The perfect place to retreat to after a day of exploring the local area, you can fire up the stove and enjoy a night in with your loved ones. Relax on one of the comfy sofas and turn on the LCD Sky TV. Whether you are having a lazy morning or cosy evening in with your fellow guests, you can keep up with your favourite shows.

Head to the kitchen and you’ll find a beautifully decorated space. Fully equipped for all self-catering stays, the kitchen perfectly combines modern and traditional, featuring appliances such as a dishwasher and washing machine. From crockery and cutlery to teapots and tumblers, the property has everything you could need.

Next door is the dining area which is the ideal spot for family meals and sociable gatherings with friends. There is a log burner in the room so you can keep cosy as you dine.

Take the stairs up to the first floor to the master bedroom. Home to a comfortable king size bed with luxury white bed linen, you’ll certainly enjoy your sleep at Clarence Place. It also features plenty of storage space for that extra sense of home.

In the second bedroom there is a plush double bed, while the third bedroom, located on the second floor, has been designed to be comfortable for children, teenagers, or friends joining you on your seaside holiday. This room has a single bed, along with a chest of drawers and bedside lamp.

The bathroom can be found on the first floor and has been tastefully decorated to be both comfortable, stylish and yet still practical. With a round walk-in shower for those mornings when you want to be out exploring, to a freestanding bath for those nights when you want a bit of ‘me’ time! Towels are provided so you don’t need to worry about bringing your own.
Guest access
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the house are accessed via a key safe box, and full details will be provided prior to check in.

A parking scratch card is provided, allowing for free on-street parking in Whitby’s ‘W’ zone on a first come, first served basis.

A maximum of two well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay at Clarence Place per reservation.

This is a gorgeous house with a nice cottage feel. it was comfortable, warm and well stocked with books for adults and kids. The decor is really nice and it's up a quiet street. There are plenty of independent and different places to eat within a short walking distance. Just be mindful that parking is very limited, so as we didn't arrive to check in until 9:30pm on a Friday, there were no permit parking spaces available at all. Luckily, I found a free parking space several streets away. Therefore, I'd recommend using bags with wheels. Additionally, the curtains are very thin, so it would be a good idea to bring travel black out window covers with you. There's a washing machine and small dishwasher, which is helpful, and we all found the beds comfortable to sleep in.

Lovely little place , full of character , and well presented . Good location in the center of everything . One thing I would advise when parking up near property , you have to manuvore carefully , but this is just due to the old narrow little lanes and obviously out of control of the owners . So it’s just a word of advise . But had a lovely stay , and it was very dog friendly . Thank you .

It was great place to stay, ten minute walk to the beach, seafront shops and restaurants. Had all we needed within the house.

The house was fantastic. Clean and beautiful and in a great location. My only complaint was that when we tried to book on for an extra night I was quoted £61.99 plus taxes which I thought was very reasonable. We agreed to go ahead with this and I waited for an email that never came. After messaging the host 3 times I got a response saying that unfortunately, someone else had booked the house and we were unable to stay. Fair enough, I thought, and my group began to pack up ready for the early check out the next day. I then got a follow up email at 2am (when we were checking out at 10am and obviously asleep) saying the house was available but at the inflated price of £110. This didn’t sit right with me and we checked out at the original time. A few times it felt like I was talking to an AI chatbot when messaging the host. All in, I would stay again, the house is fantastic and in a good location but be sure to book the desired number of nights.

The house is in a perfect location and walkable to the lovely streets of Whitby and me and my family mostly really enjoyed the stay, the beds were comfy and we loved the kitchen and dining room. There were a couple of things which were a bit of a let down though there are log burners but no supplies to actually use them, the toaster didn’t work, the oven trays were old/dirty, Sky TV is advertised but it is essentially just free view as just the basic channels are available and whilst we weren’t there just to watch TV, it rained badly for a portion of our trip and think this is slightly outdated as there isn’t much selection. Overall we did really enjoy the stay.
