Excellent location and ideal to walk to shop, pubs and local attractions. This property is ideal for four adults. Any more and there would be no room in lounge. It was clean and well equipped kitchen. There is a Aga in the kitchen which is constantly on and we were told not to turn it down or fiddle with the settings. The kitchen was too hot and we left the external kitchen door open and occasionally the front door to cool down the downstairs. Also, cooking on Aga was slow, but there are gas rings that are much better for cooking. In winter it will be very cozy but on a warm September weekend it was too hot. The shower crucible is very small.

Beautiful location. Kitchen was very well equipped. Whole house definitely needed a good dust. Lots of cobwebs and I could see where things had been dusted around on the shelves. Took a chopping board out of a kitchen cupboard that was covered in animal hair. Washing machine didn’t work - drum did not move at all. We found the house very warm and would not rent a house with an AGA in summer again. The AGA needs to be on the whole time, but then makes the space very warm. Overall a lovely well equipped house in a great location but definitely needs thoroughly cleaning.

Excellent dog friendly house with plenty of rooms to give people space. Perfect location as the town centre is literally round the corner. Great location for biking in Dalby, 5 mins in the car. Loads of lovely places to eat in the town, and a short drive the Fox and Rabbit do a lovely Sunday roast! Thank you!

Lovely stay here. House was clean and tidy and beds very comfortable. Even got to use the outside space as the sun was shining. Great location and everything we needed on the doorstep. Had an amazing meal in the recommended bistro. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely little stay in Pickering, great location, walking distance to all the local shops, pubs and the steam railway. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms and a well equipped kitchen. Would highly recommend!

The house was right in the heart of Pickering and it was easy to get to all the facilities in town in under 5 minutes. We were slightly worried about the on street parking but we found a convenient space every time we returned home. The nearest EV charger was a 4 minute walk away and it took 90 minutes to charge the car - we left it there while we were at a meal. We would certainly go back as the house had everything we needed and was a great base for touring this part of the world. There was far too much to see and do in just one week.

Stayed a couple of nights at this place with my family and a dog. Was exactly like the photos and description. It’s well located and just tucked away enough so you don’t hear any noise from the town. Parking is limited on a first come first served basis so because we had multiple cars one of us had to use the nearby pay and display car park over night but it’s not expensive and only a couple mins walk. Good sized house for a family wanting to stay in Pickering!

Had a fantastic stay! The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The location was perfect—right in the town centre, with shops, restaurants, and everything you need just a short walk away. It made exploring the area super convenient. Highly recommend to anyone visiting!

Good location in the centre of Pickering. Parking was easy with lots of space. There is a nice patio at the back. The AGA was great to cook on. We’d thoroughly recommend.

Beckside has provided us with a lovely Easter break this year. The location in the centre of Pickering is excellent. We used it as a base to explore Pickering, Scarborough, Whitby and Rievaulx Abbey during our 4 night stay, including a trip on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. The house is full of character and the host has made the most of the space available with some creative ideas throughout. The rooms were clean and spacious and had everything you could want or need. The bathroom is enormous! (Note: The super king size beds are just two singles pushed together, so there is that join down the middle.) The kitchen looks great with the Aga as the centre of attention, but to we did find it a challenge to cook with as we’re used to a conventional oven. Parking really is a free-for-all to get a space! These are minor gripes though. This is a wonderful accommodation in a beautiful part of the country. We got lucky with the weather and loved our stay here. Highly recommended.

Pickering is a lovely place to stay and great base to explore the North York Moors. The cottage was spacious, with lovely comfortable beds, and felt easy to relax in after a busy day.

Terrible deal as no decent washing facilities until maintenance sorted with 1 night to go. Complained everyday and no answers or full communication on how they are resolving
