Great position for visiting Whitby.
Only criticism is the loo seats dont fit the pans!!!
And I've never stayed anywhere where uou have to strip the beds when you leave but no big deal I guess.

Very spacious and well equipped apartment. Bonus a balcony with sea view. Very clean and central to all the Whitby has to offer. Would highly recommend this place to stay. Very good communication with management company and any questions were answered in a timely response.

We had a fantastic time staying in this apartment. The location is great; sea view and moments from the beach, as well as being only 10 minutes walk into town. But it’s pretty quiet too, as it’s not right in the middle of town. The apartment was spacious and well appointed.

Our apartment was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Felt very much at home. A lovely view of the sea and a 10 mins walk to our favourite cafe Clara's and the Whalebones where the view is amazing. Another 10 min walk and your into the town. The lift and carpark was a bonus. Really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Beach Pad.

The space was well thought out, as you come in open plan kitchen, living, dining room to the right, bedrooms to the left and in the middle was the bathroom, all a good size, took my parents who have mobility issues and the lift being right outside the front door was awesome. The wine and chocolate were well received and the parking at the back, even though was a little tight for the car we had was great to have. The windows opening up and having a little balcony was lovely, everything was clean and tidy, would recommend this place.

Fantastic apartment that we would definitely visit again.
The living space and kitchen were fabulous. The bifold doors allowed lots of air and an outdoors indoors feel. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and we very much appreciated the bottle of wine and chocolates.
The mattress was very comfortable on the double bed and the room was lovely and airy. The bathrooms were both all you would want.
Parking was literally just outside so we didn’t have to walk very far with our luggage.
We had a brilliant stay and hope to visit again.

Goed guest guidebook met nuttige tips voor restaurants, bars, enz.
Privé parkeerplaats aan de achterzijde van het appartement.

De ingangsdeur slaat dicht met een harde klap en sluit niet goed.
Beperkte opbergruimte in de badkamers. Kleine slaapkamer heeft te weinig bergruimte.

This is a strange review as we did not actually stay at this property. The night before our arrival we received a call saying that due to boiler problems this property had no hot water or heating. However I must praise the helpfulness and professionalism of the company who offered us an alternative ( the Soda cottage) which was excellent and turned out to be a better location for us. Thankyou “Host and Stay”

Our stay started off really well. Booked for 3 nights. Woke up on day 2, there was no hot water or central heating. The boiler had stopped working. Unfortunate that the phone number we had been given was not responding. E-mailed, and got a response to say plumber would be out that day. Plumber arrived as we were going out, but unfortunately he could not fix it. He contacted the owner and told us someone would call us. We waited, and waited no response from Host & Stay, we phoned 4 times before getting hold of someone. The owner contacted us as she could not get hold of them either. She moved us to another one of her properties, she was lovely, apologetic etc, etc. she was brilliant, just unfortunate that it used up our whole morning, which impacted on our short visit.
Host and Stay did eventually get back to us, but very slow to respond.

Just returned from a fabulous Friday to Sunday weekend break with friends. The accommodation was lovely, clean and very spacious for the 4 of us.
Location is good.
We would highly recommend and we will return again.

We had a two night stay and found the flat spotless, well equipped and comfortable. The only negative was the heating system- we couldn’t find the instructions as stated but managed to get the heating on, however, it was February and freezing, the main room had two radiators that got up to temperature but the room was still cold and therefore uncomfortable to use. The hall and bedrooms were too hot!
As an observation the main bathroom would benefit from a shower facility, and main room a nest of tables for drinks glasses. Overall, despite the heating, the stay was very enjoyable, the flat was very clean with all mod cons and the beds were very comfortable.

Lack of kitchen cupboard space. If you self cater there is little space to put your food. Also no complimentary tea and coffee. Had to wait until we had unloaded the car to have a cuppa

I had a great stay at the Beach Pad. The location was perfect (right on the beach and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions). The parking space was very useful especially as parking in the area gets busy during peak times. The apartment was clean, modern and had everything we needed. The only small niggle was the complimentary tea and coffee was empty when we arrived - although we loved the chocolate and wine on arrival! Would stay again.

A couple of issues in the apartment with kitchen cupboard doors not closing properly and the main patio door in the living room wasn’t properly shut, the handle was broken so needed replacing. The stormy weather we experienced meant the wind and rain was coming in through the bottom of the patio door, making the living room cold and rain water pooling on the floor. There was also an unpleasant drain smell in the on-suite bathroom. All of these issues were reported to the management team who responded timely.

The accommodation is in an ideal spot only 10 mins walk from the the harbour and has parking at the rear which is nicely hidden from view. The apartment was spotless and comfortable and I would happily stay there again.

Accommodation in a very good location. Short walk into the town centre either via the Whale Bones and Kyber Pass or Skinner Street. Off street parking in a shared car park with other residents. Apartment building has a lift. Nice large open plan living area. Kitchen well equipped including dishwasher and washing machine.
The only shower is in the ensuite room. Not a big issue, but a minor inconvenience.
I used to live in Whitby and my family still do. I would choose this apartment to stay in again.

Modern, spacious, clean. Lovely well stocked kitchen nice big comfy sofas. Large tv and good dining area.
The on-suite bathroom was excellent with a great walk in shower. Good views of the sea.

The large main bedroom could have had a dressing table and mirror for the ladies to sit and dry their hair and makeup.
The smaller bedroom needs a clothes rack to hang clothes. The second bathroom has no shower which we found strange. A bath needs far more hot water and is time consuming. Our friends had to shower in our room which defeats the object of having 2 bathrooms which we always look for.

Me and my dad stayed in this apartment from the 13th May to the 16th May, and it was lovely! Such a nice view from the balcony and it looked exactly like the pictures!
The whole place was absolutely spotless and it smelt very clean too! There was a dirty towel left on the back of the door of the single room but that is such a easy mistake to make but apart from that it was perfect!
The communication was great, I felt right at ease and I felt like all my questions was answered.
The beds was so comfy, the sofas was comfy too, it felt like I was at home!
Everything you needed was in this apartment, from coffee to cutlery, the only thing we needed to buy was of course food which is standard!
I would definitely stay at this apartment again or with Host and Stay again, for what you get it’s definitely value for money, having a sea view for the price is perfect!
My dad is blind and he felt so at ease and comfortable in this place which is rare! He could be independent! Thank you!

Lovely modern property. Decor and facilities were great and most importantly it was very clean. Very quiet and peaceful. The beds were very comfortable. Private parking adjacent to the property.

The TV didn’t have any aerial, so no freeview channels which was a huge letdown. In this day and age it is surprising to find this. It did have apps (Netflix etc) but sometimes you just want to watch the news etc. A shower over the main bath would also improve the facility as we all had to share the en-suite shower, which made getting ready a little tricky !!

No heating on day of arrival - after several calls, maintenance came before midnight - heating system started fully to work only few hours after. Before 5am the house was still freezing cold. Second night was fine. Such a pity as it is a really nice apartment. All of us ended up sick.

This was an amazing apartment to stay in. It was comfortable and cosy but modern and sleek. The view from the living room is just stunning and amazing to have a cuppa with! It was incredibly clean as well and the guides we were provided with were really helpful. I was really impressed with the apartment in general and they left us some cleaning up stuff eg dish washer tablets and tea towels etc.

There was a real issue with the entrance door to the block of apartments. We were stuck outside on one of the nights for half an hour before we could get the door open. I did report this and other tenants were having issues with it as well. I had to let the downstairs people in as I heard them banging on the glass door! Also the TV was not working - we could not get any of the channels to work, only Netflix as it said there was no signal so maybe an issue with the antenna?

More info needed in book regarding how to open french windows and to ensure wifi receiver near tv is facing the router. Key safe not easiest to access.

The apartment was exceptionally clean and in such a great location. From all the little added extras such as proper red wine glasses (I always take my own as nowhere ever has these) to games to keep us entertained if the weather was bad. Thise little touches on top of the apartment itself just made it feel extra special. The beautiful decoration and comfort of the place as a whole just blew us away the whole time we were there. Amazing value for money compared to other places we looked at

The only criticism we had and its not even criticism really just a heads up for anyone else going. We never received details on our alloted parking space so parked out front and had a note left from a neighbour stating we couldn't park there but she left her details and after speaking to her directly she told us where our parking spot was. Other than that absolutely nothing to complain about

The apartment was nice and modern,and was in a great location,only 10 mins or so walk to the main town,and with the addes bonus of its own private car parking space to the rear of the building. We liked the apartment layout and the lighting was great,also thought the sofas and curtains were lovely and went well with the decor.
The kitchen facilities were also excellent.

The only minus points we could give for the apartment was the TV,which had very poor reception most of the time and refused to tune into more than a handful of stations until later on.
Also the weatherstrip on the bottom of the folding patio doors was coming away a little,making them a bit stiff to open.

Beautiful, modern apartment in a fantastic location. Everything in the apartment that we needed. Access was easy with the key safe & a very detailed welcome pack gave us all the information we needed.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, beds were very comfortable and all bed linen & towels were good quality.

Would not hesitate to rebook in the future.

One hanging rail in master bedroom but no hanging facilities in 2nd bedroom. Not a major problem but would've been nice to have one in there.

Tv reception was very poor. Not that we were there to watch tv but having a child with us we were back to the apartment early evening so would've appreciated better tv reception. We were able to log in to our Netflix account which helped.

Neither of these things would stop us booking again.

Loved that the apartment was spotless and really enjoyed the seaview. Loved the welcome gifts wine, chocs, and all the little extras tea coffee, etc. All the linen and towels were crisp clean and super soft. We even had a game of Connect 4. Definitely recommend it to friends.

The WiFi was slow, especially having 2 teenagers, we ended up using our own hotspot to keep them satisfied
