Lovely apartment that is spotless and very comfortable. There were 4 of us and a dog so having the 2 bathrooms was perfect. Good location for visiting Whitby and Saltburn is a lovely little place. We visited the new Milton Street Market opposite for food and drinks which has a great atmosphere and is dog friendly. Useful having the supermarket opposite for supplies too. We really enjoyed our short stay and I would recommend a stay here if you get the opportunity.

Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the apartment was well below an acceptable standard. On arrival, the floors were dirty, there were hairs in both beds, the washing machine, counters and cupboards were dirty/stained, and glasses and plates had not been cleaned properly. We contacted the hosts and a cleaner came the following day. However, when we returned, many of the issues we had raised still hadn’t been addressed and it seemed only a few surfaces had been wiped down. We never really felt comfortable due to the cleanliness, which was disappointing while we were on holiday. There were also some smaller issues: the clothes hanger was falling apart, no laundry detergent was provided, and it was very loud outside, particularly on weekend evenings. On the positive side, the location is excellent with lots of cafés and amenities nearby. This could be a very nice apartment if the standard of cleaning was significantly improved.

Superb apartment. Great location with free on-street parking. Could have moved into the apartment- very well presented beautiful furnishings and very well resourced. Linen and towels immaculate and kitchen had everything needed for the stay. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to returning already.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable, spacious, peaceful and was close to nice bars, cafes and restaurants. It was also within walking distance of the clifftop and beach. Saltburn is very authentic, it has beautiful views, friendly locals and isn’t touristy. I loved our stay there.

We stayed at the apartment for 3 days with our 2 old pugs. It is very stylish with a well equipped kitchen. The bathrooms were very clean and the soap & shower gel felt very high end. Saltburn is an amazing place and the apartment is right in the heart of it. Would definitely recommend.

Artsbank Apartment is as advertised - a modernized flat in a historic building. The location in the heart of Saltburn could not be more convenient to the train station and a supermarket. The kitchen is well appointed for those who are interested in eating in although the amenities (e.g., washing up liquid, napkins, spices, etc.) were a little skimpy. Not a fatal flaw but worth noting nonetheless. Bathrooms were spotless and modern. All in all, this is a terrific place for exploring all the Northeast has to offer.

What a lovely apartment , right in the center of town. No issues parking , shops nearby and a stones throw from a fantastic beach. You have to have a ride in the funicular . Everywhere was so clean and we just loved the beach. Seaview restaurant was really good as we had a person in the party who was gluten free which was not an issue. Looking out at the sea while having your meal was brilliant. Would definitely stay again.

On arrival it was bright, spacious and comfortable enough. Beds were very comfy to sleep in. There were a couple of areas that could have done with a bit more clean. There were also a few other issues which were mentioned to ‘Host and Stay’, and they were fairly prompt at getting back to us. Occasionally there was some noise from youths congregating outside the pizza place in the evening, but they didn’t stay too long. Overall a reasonable stay.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay in the apartment over Saltburn Folk Festival weekend. The apartment was ideally placed at the centre of Saltburn to explore the shops and cafes, plus a short walk to the beach and our young son loved the miniature railway. The accommodation was clean and well presented as per the pictures. We loved our stay and hope to visit again soon.

The flat was lovely, clean and spacious. I was travelling with elder parents with slight mobility issues and we hadn't realised it was two not one flight of stairs up to the flat which made access a bit difficult for them. I also didn't realise that Saltburn was so steep down to the sea front when booking however there was a regular bus service that my parents could jump on to get up and down the hill while I walked up and down the hill. Local amenities were great with some lovely restaurants and bars and there was really easy access on the train or bus to local towns and villages. Overall a really lovely stay despite some of the mobility issues.

The apartment is in the perfect location for exploring Saltburn-by-the-Sea. It’s right at the heart of the town centre, with all the shops, bars and restaurants within a very short walk. Everything is furnished to a very high, stylish and comfortable standard. Despite its proximity to the bars etc. we didn’t experience any real noise. Our only slight issue was that the curtains in the bedrooms aren’t lined, so it was very light after sunrise. An eye mask might be useful for the summer months

This is a very ideal location. You have numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants within a few blocks, as well as the beach. I like the apartment, it was clean and comfortable, with a nice view. My only constructive feedback is for Dale to send less automated messages, as they were excessive and made it difficult to find the pertinent information quickly. But I highly recommend his place and would love to stay there again if I'm ever back in Saltburn.

The flat is very conveniently located on the same street as several good quality cafes, restaurants and independent shops with other facilities just a few minutes walk away. It is also just a few minutes’ walk to the promenade and the beach. Transport links are good and there are regular trains and buses to nearby towns and beyond. The flat was very clean and comfortable and there are good views of New Marske woods from the lounge. It was my third stay there.

Artsbank apartment is positioned in the heart of Saltburn. Only a couple of doors down from some lovely bars and restaurants and over the road from Sainsbury’s. Ample free street parking too which is a bonus. 5-10 minutes walk from the beach and more restaurants. The apartment was clean and tidy when we arrived, much bigger than the photos show. We arrived to find that the awful rain and wind had blown the living room window open, allowing rain to be all over the wooden floor, wet curtains and rug. I phoned host and stay and they arranged for the maintenance staff to be there within an hour and a half on New Year’s Eve. The friendly guy came and sorted it for us. Could ask for much more. Really happy with the location and space provided and we would definitely recommend to others.

Great location and renovated building, apartment light and spacious. Its my second time to stay, clean, good beds. Just little disappointed to see no real maintenance mould in the silicone in the showers. Lack of the most basic kitchen utensils, most pans unusable as Teflon scraped off, Two wine glasses etc for four adults, we bought some from Sainsburys across he road. Cafe next door is fab 'The real food company' and also 'Rapps' again a few doors away highly recomend to eat, Great staff

Saltburn is a beautiful place, and the Artsbank apartment was really well located for the beach and local shops. Initial impression on entering the apartment was good-looked like the photos, lovely high ceilings and lots of light. I was disappointed with the poor attention to detail. The apartment was described as ‘luxury’, and for the price paid I think that’s a stretch. Previous reviews describe grubby sealant round showers. Still an issue. The shower in the en suite leaked everywhere because the door seal was broken at the bottom. The kitchen was poorly stocked. No oven gloves, limited cookware, few glasses. As lovely as it was to have a coffee machine to use, the only cups suitable for use with it were too large to fit underneath. I don’t think it’s acceptable to spring a surprise breakages deposit on guests and fail to upkeep the property when these things are continuously raised by guests. They’re small things which would make a big difference.

Artsbank Apartment, Saltburn-on-sea is a true gem. The facilities are quality, the space and feel is fabulous. We had a 2 night stay and we were not disappointed. Communication with the hosting company was excellent. Can’t wait to stay again….it’s going to be a regular one for me :-)

Nice 3 nights in Saltburn. Apartment spot on and bang in center of high street. 4 flights of steps to access apartment but warned in advance so we knew what to expect, loads of shops bars and restraurants within minutes walk.

The apartment is lovely and in a great location. It was clean and well decorated. We did however, feel like it was quite expensive. Host and Stay come across as impersonal. There were lots of signs stating rules (4 as soon as you enter). We received multiple messages throughout the stay about reporting damage and reminding us to check out. This made us feel unwelcome. There were items missing, like oven gloves and washing up liquid, this made it challenging to cook in the kitchen. the check in and check out are later and earlier than most and had no flexibility. We are unhappy about paying the £25 for insurance. We have never had to do this on air BnB and on top of an expensive property, this seems excessive and unnecessary. We knew that we would have to pay this upon booking, we struggled to find a property that isn't managed by this company. For us, this isn't what we look for in air BnB and we won't be booking a property managed by this company again.

It’s not made clear when booking with Host & Stay that ‘all reservations need to have a damage waiver in place, or a damage deposit held prior to arrival’. Only after this payment will they send all check-in details. The demand is made a couple of weeks prior to the arrival date. It’s either £25 damage waiver (non refundable), or £250 security deposit (£240 refunded - £10 admin charge). Because of this policy we will never book accommodation which is managed by Host & Stay again.

Artsbank apartment was exactly as described on the website. A contemporary feel to the place and well situated for the cafes/ bistros/bars in the town centre. Issues with cleaning however. Worktops in the kitchen were sticky, mirror in main room and internal windows also. Visibly greasy. Minor issues with maintenance in bathroom. Sealant around bath needs replacing due to blackening over time with use, as does the shower screen bath seal needs removing and cleaning. Just observations that would make this place that little more to the rating it deserves. That said, it didn’t detract too much from a really pleasant stay. We would recommend and would come back without hesitation. P.S. Beds were so comfy!!

An excellent stay in a pleasant airy apartment. The only problem we had was checking in. The location of the key safe is far from clear and staff in the adjacent shop mentioned that many people had problems finding the key safe. A photo of the key safe location would have helped. It was also very difficult to open the key safe, the buttons needing to be pressed well in to the face plate.

Had a lovely stay at the Artsbank apartment. It was a lovely temperature when we walked in, which was very needed in the cold and wet weather. It is a great size - perfect for our weekend getaway. The linen was extremely clean and the bath and shower rooms were lovely. It makes your holiday so much nicer when you can indulge in a lovely warm bath and powerful shower. Thank you - we will definitely stay again.

What a lovely spot for a weekend getaway! Saltburn is home to me as I'm from Skelton and I was in the area visiting my parents with a friend. Host was incredibly proactive at sending helpful information and instructions throughout for our arrival, stay and departure. The flat itself was so nice, super bright spaceous and clean. We each had our own comfy bedrooms & bathrooms stocked with plenty of amenities. The flat is about a 10 minute walk from door to beach and is conveniently located right next to the train station/supermarket. Glad I found this place. Will definitely be staying again in future! One tiny feedback is some smaller espresso cups for the coffee machine as the current mugs don't fit under the drip :)

Lovely apartment, very well furnished in a great spot. Check in time seems to get later and later each time we book (4pm). Which is a bit tight to be honest. 3pm is more than reasonable. Also the indemnity fee is very unnecessary. It adds £25 each time we book as we travel with small children and don’t want to part with £250 (and a £10 admin fee 🙄)that we potentially won’t get back.

Artsbank apartment was in a great location, easily assemble to pubs, restaurants, sea front and supermarket. The apartment is beautifully spacious, there were a number of issues that were raised whilst we were there, a number of windows were very drafty and the airvent in lounge diner was blowing a gale. We found there wasn't adequate cooking supplies - very sparce crockery and cutlery, pots and pans. The standard of cleanliness wasn't upto high end accommodation advertised. Seals around both shiweres were dirty, bathtub had scum mark around. Light fittings in lounge - diner very dusty, plus tv and small table not dusted. There was no token of reimbursement of any money just an apology and the company will deal with it and thanks for raising these issues. The cleaning fee is steep and thz checkin and out timings are on the mean side. I did request a later checkout but was told they were unable to honour due to hugh standard of cleaning regime and cleaning schedule!!

We, 4 adults, stayed in the lovely apartment and thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It is a spacious apartment. I had previously called host and stay with a question that I had and reached them immediately and was helped! Great service. The apartment is so close to the train station and the restaurants are very very close by. Would recommend and come again. Just make sure to bring warm clothes during the colder months, as the apartment was a bit drafty and the rooms were a bit chilly.

Overall lovely place no real issues. Very clean and modern. Just beware there’s no lift so the stairs can get tiring if your up and down alot. The key box is on the other side of a little wall which took us a while to find. But other then that it was perfectly fine

Beautiful building with enough space inside and very well laid out. Close to local amenities and great restaurants and bars. Close to the beach from which is fantastic. The beds and linen were great too. The carpets really need replacing they are heavily stained. Also the silicone needs replacing in the bathrooms and kitchen, it has turned brown and doesn’t look appealing. A suggestion for the living room would also be a more comfortable sofa, you can only really sit bolt upright on it. Overall good and we will definitely use the place again. 👍🏻

Lovely spacious modern apartment, with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Ideally situated for restaurants, pubs, and the beach, the funicular railway is well recommended, especially for the return trip from the beach. There is a medium sized Sainsburys across the road from the apartment, and the railway station is behind Sainsburys.

Saltburn is a beautiful place, and we kept ourselves fit by walking everywhere including the steep steps down to the beach. The apartment was in a brilliant location in a street with lots of local shops, bars and places to eat. It is also right next to a supermarket and the train station. The seafront was only 5 mins walk and then another 5 up and down the hill or you could use the cliff railway which was fun. The apartment itself was lovely. The building was clean and inside was bright with windows all around. Modern open plan kitchen, nice size bedrooms (one en suite) and another bathroom. Parking free in the street outside. Very dog friendly area. And great Fish n Chips at lots of places. There is a small bar a few doors down at No 23 and they did amazing pizza and beers. Not a far away drive to Staithes or Whitby. Would absolutely recommend and hope to come back in the future.

Lovely place, over looking the high street. Was a little noisy from people upstairs and on the street but nothing too crazy. Comfy beds, milk and coffee pods on arrive which were much appreciated! One bathroom smelt of damp and there were a few things missing - only one wine glass, cafetière broken - which I wouldn’t mention if it weren’t for the large damage deposit / insurance - so would expect these things to have been replaced. Could do with a few local / homely touches but other then that and the above a nice stay!

We had some challenges with this stay. This began with the need to communicate outside the Airbnb platform (via email and text messaging) and the required insurance payment and extra paperwork. Upon arrival, we had some challenges locating the door and lockbox because the store mentioned in the directions is no longer in business/sign is gone. We found the apartment to be full of natural light and quiet overall, but unfortunately, that was hard to enjoy because of the stained and gritty carpets, furniture, and some other cleanliness issues. We were in touch with the management company, but we still don't feel able to recommend using this company.

Excellent location only 5 minutes to the beach. On street parking with no time limits. Just an FYI the shop next door has changed so don’t look for Ollie B’s as it’s now called Robes.

a really gorgeous confortable beds and furniture, gorgeous kitchen (just didn't have enough dish towels, washing up cloths and mugs, other than that, simply perfect. Washing machine was great, as we had friends staying from abroad, and they needed to do washing. Full dishwasher is great, as you can put everything in and not worry about having to wash dishes. We took our own coffee making equipment - mocha pot, plunger etc. it was fairly noisy in the lounge from the road below, but the bedrooms weren't bad. Saltburn itself if utterly GORGEOUS, especially in the sunshine!

We really enjoyed our stay here - it’s very well-located, close to shops, bars and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Despite that, we didn’t find it at all noisy. The apartment is spacious but perhaps not quite as luxurious as the photos suggest - the carpets are stained in quite a few places and the bathrooms are a bit tired, but nothing that detracts from the stay. The cleaning could also have bit a bit more thorough. But all in a nice place to stay that was good value for money. Good communication from the hosts. Would stay again.

The apartment if well located, easy walk to beach and shops/restaurants. It is light bright, spacious, attractive and clean inside and it good value for money. The instructions regarding the location of the lock box need to be changed as it was not obvious (on the far side of the wall to the right of the front door) and there were a few issues in the kitchen (broken coffee plunger, blunt knives (if you like cooking), light bulbs out and no replacements, which we contacted host about and are easily rectified for the next guests. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay in Saltburn.

Spent 4 nights in Saltburn and loved the town and the apartment. As two couples with a two bed two bath apartment we had almost everything we needed. The only thing lacking was a shortage of drawer space in the bedrooms for socks etc. and no hooks for outdoor coats. Spotless, great location and everything we needed in the kitchen. Parking on the road outside was no problem and the apartment itself very quiet. Great base for exploring the surrounding areas with a fabulous selection of quality bars and restaurants. Sainsbury’s was across the road so no need to load the car up pre journey. The Seaview restaurant is a must and the craft beer bar two doors down very welcoming. Would stay again. Be aware of last minute additional cost for breakage insurance £25 or you could have a £200 hold on your credit card but that incurs a £10 admin charge,

Centrally located near the train station. Apartment is up 2 flights if stairs and is equipped with very good quality fixtures and fittings. Very comfortable bed. It was perfect for us as a couple with a small dog. Whilst some cafes were closed due to it being just after new year still plenty of places to eat and have a drink nearby. Saltburn is a really nice Victorian seaside town with fantastic walks on its doorstep. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We loved Saltburn and we especially loved the Artsbank apartment. It was well furnished, with top quality bedding and towels and was spotlessly clean. It’s in a great location, being handy for everything and we were able to park the car right outside. We will definitely be back!

This is a lovely spacious and stylish apartment on the main street in Saltburn. We had a really lovely stay. We slept very well as the beds were comfortable and it was so quiet. It's only about a 5 minute walk to the beach and pier. There's a Sainsburys over the road and plenty of free parking. The flat is on the second floor so lots of stairs. We would love to stay again.

It’s a nice place to stay if you don’t mind 3 flights of stairs with your luggage. It’s situated in an ideal spot, close to the beach with plenty of places to eat and close to a supermarket. Quaint little shops adorn the high street and there’s ample availability to park your car.

Spacious and modern flat, very well appointed with all conveniences needed. The beds were very comfy, and everything was spotless! The hosts provided timely communication. Location was excellent, the flat had very close proximity to bars, shops and a short walk to the promenade. There is a Sainsbury’s less than one minute from the flat, and the free on street parking was easy to take advantage of. It was a touch noisy in the evening, but that was expected being in the town centre, it did not disturb our stay. It didn't affect us, but there is no lift at the property and the flat is up two flights of stairs.

Perfect location for exploring the area, with its wonderful scenery. The apartment is only a few minutes walk from the seafront and opposite the supermarket. Local shops, bars and restaurants are excellent especially “number 23”. On street parking is easy. Very clean and cosy apartment. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Communication was good and check in was easy. The place is excellently placed within minutes of good food, good drink and the beach. It is stylishly furnished and decorated in a lovely building. It is appointed with decent, modern facilities. The rooms are spacious with plenty of light. We had a great stay here.
