Very spacious and in a perfect walkable location with lots of cafes and restaurant and shops around

Could have been alot clearer then it was. Tea towel was very stained more like cleaning cloth, dust in areas which were reachable, carpet didn’t seem to have been hoovered and lots of marks on it right when you walk in which isn’t the best thing to see first. The shower also needed a good scrub, lots of mould both black and orange.

All the basics included. This property is managed by a business - they were slow and unresponsive when the shower broke, and I had to repeatedly chase them in order for them to fix it, which was a shame and not ideal on holiday.
Good location, all the basics included, a fine base if you’re going to be out most of the day. Good kitchen facilities.
Could have been cleaner when I arrived! Dirty entrance way, toilet not quite clean enough, stain on a bedsheet (but not a bed we needed to use fortunately).
Overall fine, wouldn’t stay again.
Although saltburn is delightful!

Lovely split level flat in an amazing location - five mins walk down the hill and you're on the beach. Also very handy for the train station, and all the local shops, cafes and restaurants. Very slight downside was the wi-fi being very poor, but not a big problem when you're on holiday. The cleaning fee felt steep considering the reasonable nightly price. We're looking forward to staying here again.

Lovely clean flat, well equipped and spacious. Worth bearing in mind it is 4 flights of stairs - so pack lightly! Quiet and close to everything. We loved Saltburn - will definitely be back.

Some of the dishes and cutlery were dirty and there were only three glasses (apart from wine glasses). This was ok for us but it would have been difficult if there were four or five staying in the apartment. Also, it would be great if, alongside the dishcloths etc., a tea towel would have been provided. It’s been years since I’ve stayed at a self catering place that didn’t provide this so I hadn’t packed one.

We stayed here for accommodation for a wedding we attended nearby. It’s a walk from the centre with plenty of shops and cafes nearby with the seafront a stones throw away. The apartment its self is lovely, very clean and very well presented. It’s very cosy and spacious. It’s also very competitively priced with hotel rooms for only a few quid cheaper. If your looking for a suitable place to stay, especially if there’s a couple and 2 singles, this is ideal.
The instructions were very clear to follow from weeks before our booking right up until check out.

We enjoyed a lovely break in Saltburn-on-the-sea.
The apartment had everything we needed, was lovely and peaceful and felt like a home from home and was a great base to explore the amazing Yorkshire coastline.
Parking wasn’t a problem and we managed to park on their road each day.
Saltburn has some lovely little shops and restaurants in walking distance as well as the sea front.
A couple of additions in the kitchen and improvements to the WIFI would make this place perfect.
We would happily stay here again (especially in the summer)!

this was my first time booking though Air B&B and this place and host made it a perfect one. the flat was beautiful decorated, spotless and provides everything you need for your stay. literally 1 minute walk to the perfectly idilic seafront, restaurants and bars. we tried the tomahawkstaeakhpuse which was also fab. I would definitely stay here again no question about it. thank you 😊

Place was lovely, really stylish, right next to a hairdressers and a pub so well placed as we were in the area for a wedding. Lovely and warm when we arrived, which was welcomed in the middle of winter as it was after teatime and we were freezing. Can't fault the place, it had everything we needed with some nice extra touches - milk and teabags, nice coffee machine, highchair to name a few. Would definitely choose to stay here again if was in the area and I'm usually the type of person who likes to try different places to tick them off the list. Thanks for a lovely stay

No complaints at all, maybe suggestion of leaving an extra toilet roll if guests are staying 2 days but normally I'd take with me if I remembered. Also maybe a frying pan, we used a different one for eggs without any problems. Really these aren't things I didn't like, merely a suggestion for the next guests but we all thoroughly enjoyed the stay and were impressed. Thank you

A good location ideal for exploring Saltburn and surrounding coastal walks. Ideal for what we needed. A nicely decorated apartment with everything you need. However if you are in need of internet or would like to watch something on the TV/ laptop it's pretty much impossible, the wifi was very poor quality. Overall a good stay.

The location was brilliant close to supermarket, butchers, bakers, cafes, bars and bus stop. Also close to the beach. The lighting in the apartment was great so many places have mood lighting so you can't see to pack.

The entrance is grotty and you wonder what you have booked, there is nowhere to wipe your feet so the stair carpet is grubby, but once you reach your apartment it is OK.

Yesterday a man knocked on the door claiming to be the owner with another person claiming he wanted to show this other person an empty apartment? My husband did not let them in and surely if you are the owner, you know which Apartments are occupied?
The apartment was also quite dusty, cobwebs up in the corner of the room.

The entrance hallway was grubby and unsightly. The beds were uncomfortable. The bathroom has mould around the bath. The wardrobe doors and window blind broken, there were stains on the living room carpet.

I was a bit concerned when we arrived (with a child) to find the apartment was above a pub, but fortunately as we were in the top floor and staying mid week there wasn’t any noise.
The apartment was clean but there were stains on the carpet and a lot of wear & tear on the kitchen table & chairs which let it down. The WiFi was non existent! Which was a huge problem as we couldn’t get a signal to watch TV most of the time we stayed, so streaming films or TV was virtually impossible, even hotspotting to our phones was stop/start. I understand you can’t impact the mobile signal but the WiFi definitely needs improvement. If I’d been staying there with the intention of working I’d have been livid!
We reported an issue with one of the single beds collapsing when my 4yo son sat on it & didn’t get a response until a day after getting home! So the host company need to work on their response times.
Location was very close to beach & we had a fabulous meal in the Seaview restaurant.

Airy and spacious apartment in the centre of Saltburn, near the railway station and very quiet. The kitchen was well equipped and there was plenty of space in the living room.

The shower wouldn't heat above lukewarm.

We received several emails emphasizing that guests would be held responsible for any damage, then found (minor!) broken/missing items on arrival. Communication could have been better - any messages resulted in several unnecessary automatic responses, including another warning about damage, before we were answered (politely and helpfully) by a real person.

The property was fine , however the £25 non refundable security deposit wasn't made clear at the time of booking booking, so its basically a hidden cost of almost an extra 10% , what the justification is on actually not refunding the fee is I'm not sure either

Deposit bond of £250 then 9 days after stay before refund of £240 cause of a admin fee
All booked thought booking.com and never knew about the extra charge till we was ringing up to get access
I should not be charged a admin fee for getting the money back
And it should be one price is for everything all inc
As trying to claim the money back for a work trip is now a nightmare won’t be booking again it’s really put us off using them

Apartment is in the centre of everything and is beautifully decorated. Comfortable and well equipped. We would stay there again . We struggled with the key safe outside the building- so we struggled to get in and were unable to leave keys back in it as instructed - but Host and Stay were at the end of the phone to help. The property was spacious, and really lovely decor. It had a Nespresso coffee machine which was just what we needed. There was a high chair for meal time and it was perfectly placed in the centre of saltburn.

On arrival, we had not been issued with the key code to get into the property, which required us to call the host, once we got in the property it was 13.5 degrees, absolutely freezing!!! I had two small children and it took until about midnight for the property to warm up. Then when we eventually went to bed it stunk of sweaty feet / wet dog. It was foul, I contacted the host via booking.com and was assured someone would come and changed the bedding, this did not happen.

The carpet was covered in stains and it did not look like the property had been cleaned properly for a long time. I when to use the hoover and once again was hit with the stench of wet dog. The filtre of the hoover clearly hadn’t ever been cleaned.

The website advertises that the property is above a family friendly pub. Probably worth calling out they have live bands on, which we actually really enjoyed but it was a miracle the kids slept through it.

Just the location that’s all nothing else . It was very close to the shops (Sainsbury’s was around the corner which was helpful). Also the train station and the beach was just a stone throw away

Well it was uncomfortable as one of the bedrooms which had a double bed had two of the slats broken and making it uncomfortable to sleep so we had to leave a day earlier. The owner sent a man to check the damage but he turned up without any notice (phone call or txt message) and was going to force his way in when we refused to answer the door because we were not sure who it was. He just took the broken slats and left. I thought he would return to fix it or replace the broken slats but nobody returned.

Also the internet (WiFi) couldn’t reach all the bedrooms even though it was all on a single level. There was enough plates but not enough cutlery.
Under the bed was very dirty full of rubbish like it hasn’t been cleaned . I didn’t intentionally check under the bed but because the mattress kept dropping because of the broken slats , I saw under the bed and wasn’t impressed.

Lovely location and design of the apartment , coffee and tea there with milk was nice touch . Very comfortable beds . Would stay again if cleaning improved .

There were stains on the sofa , carpets also and felt the apartment had not been cleaned properly only put new towels and bedding , they may need to speak with there cleaning company .

Lovely furnishings in the apartment. Comfortable beds. Apartment in a great location. Extremely quiet- over a pub so I was expecting some noise, but absolute silence at night. Saltburn was so quiet!

The flights of stairs to the loft apartment could provide a challenge to less fit people. I don’t think that this apartment would suit a family with young children. Key safe box was a bit tricky to use.

Really lovely apartment in an excellent location.
We had such a lovely weekend in Saltburn, and the apartment was a great base.
I’d read plenty of reviews that fore-warned us about the number of stairs, so we were prepared. The benefits of being up high were the place was quiet and untouched by any potential noise from the street below.
We were steps from the town centre and the beach and really enjoyed exploring both.
Beds were comfy, we managed to cook a nice meal- although could’ve benefitted from a few extra kitchen bits- and the living area was great to relax in.
Would definitely stay again.

Very very well furnished and finished. Nice kitchen area, bathroom and bedrooms very nice. Good location for getting to shops and beach.

Top floor, so quite a few steps. Not really an issue but just be aware. Actually above a pub though this seemed to close early and we never had any noise.

We had a lovely trip on a north east tour and having been to Filey for a few days this was the next stop for 2 nights with a trip to Flamingo land for the kids on one day. The views are stunning but the apartment was lovely, very clean and had everything we could have needed, might have been pure luck but parking was really easy too (despite bringing my pickup truck which is really long)! Highly recommended if you've got stuff nearby you want to do, it's perfect.

Carpets need replacing. Pics of 2nd bedroom confusing - one showed 2 twins, another a 1.5 bunk bed; turned out it was a 1.5 bunk bed which is pretty rickety with 2 adults in there...maybe good for kids? Main bed mattress too soft / past it.

A beautiful apartment, comfortable, clean and quiet. It would be useful it had some coasters for putting cups and glasses on as we didn't like putting them on the nice furniture so just used magazines and leaflets instead. I have been visiting Saltburn for years but this was the first time that we have actually booked somewhere to stay and my daughter and myself were extremely happy with this apartment.

I loved the property. I loved the location. We had a lovely stay and the property is great very spacious and the facilities are excellent. Such a shame I couldn't give the property a 10 and all because it was let down by the cleanliness. It wasn't filthy and I would definitely stay again but I would expect better. I don't go away and expect to wipe surfaces down and pick up sweet wrappers left by other guests. That said I would definitely stay again.

Looks exactly like the photos, is really spacious, light and modern. Apartment was pretty clean overall, considering pets are allowed as well.

Apartment is very central, (a good base/starting point if you want to explore other areas) is near both the beach and the train station which makes it ideal as there is a Sainsbury’s next to the train station as well, takes you around 5 mins or so at the most from the train station to the apartment!

Could do with handwash/soap in the kitchen, the TV signal was a bit hit and miss sometimes but was never a major issue, would’ve been nice to have been given extra toilet roll just in case. It also might be a good idea to include a coat rack/hanger somewhere in the apartment entrance? Wasn’t needed for our stay as much due to the nice weather but might be an idea when it comes to more colder months?

Beds were too soft and pillows not comfortable, stairs up to apartment were a struggle for my OAP mother-in-law, some washing powder would have been good but these are minor things that certainly didn't ruin the stay.

the location is great.

This was our third visit to these apartments. last twice was amazing, however standards have slipped. Had to clean the bathroom before use and no welcome pack as previous. Entrance hall grubby, peeling wallpaper and electrics on show, definitely not safe if children staying. Also host and stay used a previous credit card from my previous booking last year, which should not be kept on their system. I emailed about this numerous times and ignored.

We enjoyed our stay at Cleveland Street in Saltburn by the Sea - the flat is on the top floor so only good for people who can climb three flights of stairs...

There are a few things that would help for other visitors going forward...
1. The shower wasn't very clean ... it would also benefit from having somewhere to put the soap & 'squeegee blade' for after showers to help stop the mildew forming.
2. No cleaning products or toilet cleaner in the bathroom were provided
3. In the kitchen, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid and one tea-towel provided -no dish clothes, dish washing brush or other cleaning products were provided
4. No table mats provided.
5. The entrance hall has a lovely carpet but we noticed it was a bit stained on our arrival because there isn't a mat to wipe feet or anywhere to put dirty shoes/boots etc or to hang up wet coats.

I hope this feedback will be helpful.
This is a great location and we enjoyed visiting our son and granddaughter

The sitting room is on the top floor and is lovely and light and airy but as it has velux windows you can't look out while you are sitting at the dining table or sofa.

The apartment itself was lovely, beautifully decorated throughout and clean. The location was fantastic for exploring Saltburn.

I would have rated our stay very highly, up until our final evening I couldn't fault it. We stayed Saturday and Sunday night over the Coronation weekend with our almost 1 year old daughter. The apartment we stayed in is directly above the Victoria pub, on the Sunday evening there was a live band playing from 9pm-11pm and the music rang through the entire apartment waking my daughter, it was so loud and impossible to sleep through. There really should be some mention of this in the description because it happens every weekend, so it's really not suitable to stay with small children if you're trying to put them to bed. As lovely as the apartment was, if we'd have been aware of this we would have booked somewhere else.

The central location makes it easy to move around the local area. The apartment is light and airy with nice extra touches like a coffee machine and cleaning products .

This property is advertised as NO PETS ALLOWED but on arrival it was clear that this is not the case and dogs are allowed which worked out very badly for us. I had specifically requested a pet free property as my husband has allergies. The bean bag is clearly a 'dog bed' and there were dog hairs on the furniture and carpets. Tv remote has been used as a chew toy. Our stay was uncomfortable as a result. Host and Stay dealt with our complaint poorly- couldn't offer alternative accommodation or a refund.

Location was excellent.

Kitchen tap was faulty and a small fountain. The cleaning staff must have known. It was very difficult to explain to Host and Stay how urgent a plumber was needed. It was fixed a day later.
The beds were lumpy and need new mattress.

The apartment and host & stay were always in contact if needed. The location was great lots of restaurants & shops nearby. Could walk to the seafront and the lovely sea view restaurant which we had booked. Went to Whitby & status which were only 30 minutes away. A very enable stay we will be back. Our first visit to this part of Britain and we lived it.

The apartment was in a super central location and very tastefully decorated. It was the perfect spot for a couple of days by the sea and had everything we needed for our stay. We would consider coming back here if we are ever in the area.

We had to pay a non-refundable £10 fee when paying the security deposit which seemed unreasonable. There was no door mat for shoes which could have been handy as we experienced wet weather one day!

Spotlessly clean apartment within easy walking distance of shops and supermarket. Loved the loft kitchen/ front room, would definitely stay again.

Bit noisy in back bedroom with people using fire escapes. Stayed in top floor apartment, lots of stairs! A group of 4 of us stayed there was not enough hot water for us all to get showered in the morning.

The location was central to Saltburn and easy to get to the shops else well as the paths down to the seafront.
The design of apartment C was lovely and spacious.
The property was very clean with modern appliances.

The pub next door played very loud live music until 11.30pm on the Saturday night. We couldn't go to bed until the music had finished. Of course we didn't know when it was going to end.
For the price, a welcome pack would have been nice. Fresh milk, fruit, etc.
A courteous request to have a late check out (as the apartment was not booked for at least a week) was turned down without any negotiation. 10am felt a bit early to check out, especially when you can't check in til 4pm.
WiFi didn't work very well at all and 4G was a lot faster. The router probably needed rebooting to clear the cache.
Didn't expect to have to pay the agent Host & Stay an extra £10 just for them to say the £250 security deposit could be returned. I felt, for the cost of this apartment, this fee should already have been included. I don't like hidden costs.

Easy to find, near to railway station and town centre. Extremely clean, all facilities that could be required. Beautiful decor, comfortable, lots space, quiet. Lots of towels and toiletries.
Fully equipped kitchen, tea coffee sugar supplied, nice touch.
Although above a pub no noise at all. Lovely quiet street location.
Easy to walk to shops supermarket and beach.
Amazing communication with host. Also provided recommendations of local area, cafes bars.
Would highly recommend for couple or family.

Lovely weekend away with children and mother-in-law. Central location with easy access to the sea front and a really delicious cafe round the corner (Virgos)
Clean and comfy beds, bathroom lovely and clean and kitchen well equipped and clean.
We did have an 18m old with us and a stair gate would have been very useful for the top but this wasn't a huge issue and we knew there was stairs before booking.

The flat is beautifully presented, clean & well equipped.

The flat is directly above a pub which had live music on the Saturday night that could be heard loudly throughout the flat. The other nights were quiet though and the music was only 9-11pm.

Slept 5 but not enough cutlery or dining space for 5 - more suited to 4. No frying pan and although not huge issue would have been good to have option - would also have been nice if few other essentials available (salt & pepper) No heating on when we arrived and did heat up fairly quickly but was very cold in bedrooms overnight - better second night as heating had been on during day. No lock on bathroom door and living area carpet very stained - we paid damage insurance so assumed others had before us and so should have been cleaned / fixed) Tiles in shower could have been cleaner.

When I arrived to the property the key in the safe had been returned snapped and did not work, I was left alone in the cold at almost midnight waiting for someone to take my call. I couldn't book into a hotel nearby as it was too late. When I finally reached someone on the phone they told me they didn't know how long I'd be waiting, could not call me back and did not know if the emergency contact was working - I was left waiting in the cold, alone, with no apology from the company.

On top of that you will incur unexpected fees with this booking - having to pay £25 extra as a non refundable security deposit to get the code to the key safe.

I reached out to Host & Stay to ask to discuss before I posted a bad review but received no response through AirBnb or email. Nice property but if anything goes wrong with your stay don't expect them to put it right.

felt it missed just a few things. coat rack, we had to hang our coats in out wardrobes. another living area seat would have been better, we each has to take it in turns to sit on the floor in an evening. not sure why there wasn’t a toilet seat lid, a couple of things ended up falling into the toilet due to it not having a lid.

Not enough cutlery or seating for a family of 4. The entrance is very poor with electrical boxes on show which was very unsightly and dangerous with young children. Felt like some of the details hadn't been thought through such as door hooksni where to sit and do your hair.

Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and sitting room. Great shower room. Spacious and airy. Duel aspect windows in sitting room. Big tv although we didnt need it as it was within easy walking distance of a good selection of lovely bars pubs and eateries.

We will certainly book again.

Just the windows were sometimes a bit difficult to open.

Very clean, very comfortable, was very well equipped and had bars, shops, restaurants all within a few minutes walk. Easy to get parked outside too which is always a bonus.

Only downside was (very) loud roadworks right outside the property which started early both mornings but which is totally out with the control of the owners and still didn’t spoil our stay in any way.

Good location for Saltburn attractions

Advertised as free parking, which is actually on street parking with no guarantee of space in this busy residential area. It feels wrong to be told we can park in front of other people's houses. We should not be a nuisance to people who live there.

Steps. 39 steep and narrow steps up to apartment. Should be clear there is no lift, for those who have mobility issues. Would not like to try and get a buggy up there either.

Beds and bedding were cheap and uncomfortable. So much so we came home a night early. Main bed was also broken. Let the apartment down.

Advertised as having a view. We were in apartment c, whose living space is in the loft. Although light and ventilation via velux windows, there was absolutely no view. A little disappointed.

This apartment is perfect. The location could not be any better and the apartment is amazing and one of the best apartments I have stayed in. I was concerned with the damp and gas meter I read on the reviews, thinking it might an entrance on the back, going through a dark dingy alley to get to entrance but it couldn't be further from the truth. Entrance is on the main road and you collect the key from the keysafe. As you walk in there are meters on the right for the apartment, did it bother me? Not 1 bit. I'm there to enjoy the town, the beach the apartment, why would I focus on the entrance that I will spend less than 10 seconds in?

This place is amazing. I have already looked at booking it again next holidays.

This place is perfect. I can nit pick and look for faults or what could be better, but then I should do that for my own house first!

The flat is furnished tastefully and is very comfortable. The whole place was very clean. Although, I would say the accommodation is family friendly please note there are 3 flights of stairs to the flat and also another set of internal stairs which I wouldn't feel safe for small children. The location is superb for access to the town and beach. No problems finding on street parking directly outside the place.

Saltburn-by-the-sea was such a lovely town to visit with local shops & cafes & of course the beach! It’s hard not to be central in SbtS given how small it is…but we really were walking distance to everything we needed, including the train station. We loved having the loft for living space in the apartment and felt right at home. Bonus points: very easy to park on the roads. All round fab stay!

nice lounge area and lovely decoration
location was great

The advert did not state bunk beds were the make up of the second and third beds. The bunk beds were very badly made, shaky and unstable! not suitable or safe for two teenagers. All the mattresses were were soft and lumpy. The dishes were all unclean and needed to be washed before use. The rugs had not been put back after an attempt at cleaning therefore we had to arrange them on arrival. The internet was too unstable for use. Very disappointing.

Central location, close to restaurants, beach and supermarket
Good base to explore local area

Would benefit from mirrors in bedrooms, coat hooks and shoe rack. Few more glasses (only 3 tumblers in flat that sleeps 4).

We found the apartment met our requirements fully.
Near to beach, pubs and Cafes.
A great base for exploring the Yorkshire coast.
Saltburn is a unique place very different from other seaside towns

Great place. Location is amazing - so central with lovely cafes/bars around every corner. Such close walking distance down to the beach and pier. Stylish, comfortable apartment that had everything we needed. Comfortable beds, great shower, easy check in with street parking available - would highly recommend for a lovely seaside break

Fantastic location and beautiful apartment. Everything we needed for a short stay on the coast! We really loved Saltburn by the sea.

We self catered and love to cook so a little more kitchen equipment would have been useful, but we managed fine as all the basics were provided.

A great property with style! Exactly as the photos. Very clean and comfortable with attention to detail. Very central in Saltburn with good street parking. There are a lot of steps but definitely worth the climb!

This accommodation will not disappoint! Well appointed and stylish ( loved the retro furnishings). It had that feel good factor on first impressions. …which lasted. Clean and well maintained. Comfortable and spacious too. Recommended.

Fabulous spacious immaculate apartment in a fantastic area. Great communication from Stay. Lots of stairs to climb to the top floor for those with young children or the less mobile. We found it perfect for us and our two teens. There was everything we needed in the kitchen and the ability to watch Netflix in the lounge although the WiFi wasn’t great. There are some superb places to eat right on the doorstep and beautiful beaches up and down the coast. There is also a Sainsbury’s a few minutes walk away. We would definitely book to go back.

Brilliant flat in a brilliant location in a brilliant seaside town.

Tbh from the previous reviews and photos of the flat expectations were high, but the mega comfy bed, super soft sheets, coffee machine and sea views through the Velux windows were all unexpected bonuses.

Really clean and comfortable flat and an excellent base from which to explore all of Saltburn’s amenities. Love the sea view from the roof windows!
We have stayed in several airbnb properties in the town over the past few years and this is by far our favourite.

Our Christmas stay at this flat was great! Nice, clean, modern, spacious and got everything we need. However the internet speed needed improving because we needed to work in the flat. We ended up using personal hotspot for work. Other than that, all great. Recommended!

We have a fabulous stay and would return indefinitely. Absolutely loved the space and really stylish decoration. We had all the amenities we needed; a hairdryer would have been nice however. Great communication from the host and they were eager to help with anything. The location is great and very central. Parking was easy. I wouldn’t recommend for people with physical difficulties due to the stairs, but it suited our needs perfectly. I really hope to visit again, thank you.

Lovely very clean apartment very convenient for shopping, restaurants, pubs, bus, train, etc. Great design and layout particularly the upstairs big lounge, dining area & kitchen. Very well and stylishly furnished and kitted out. On street parking was no problem. Only constraint would flag up is that it is an old building with high ceilings so the stairs up to 2nd floor and then internal stairs to the living area on the 3rd floor could be a challenge for anyone with mobility problems.
Did great walk 'Saltburn Circular' which goes up the steps behind the Ship Inn and along the clifftop eventually curling back around to Saltburn (search internet can find walk details). Then another day walked the opposite direction from end of clifftop to Marske then on to Redcar getting the bus back to Saltburn, another set of stunning views and Redcar was surprisingly pleasant. Can recommend 'Stray Cafe' at the start of the prom for a well earned cup of tea or other walking treat.
Also had good days out to Staithes and Whitby, excellent base location as well as great days in Saltburn. Can strongly recommend this apartment and it's definitely on our re-visit list.
