The location of the apartment was fantastic for the view as it was opposite the Sea and beach, being on the third floor we had a Birds Eye view. There was some issue with noise due the the proximity of the Marine pub, which I appreciate wasn’t the owners fault. The lounge looked beautiful when we walked in, nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and decorations. The place was roomy and bright and had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Just one small detail was the cleaning not up to scratch in a few places. That said, I would stay in the accommodation again, it was a lovely place.

Beach front! Very nice apartment right on the beach front was so nice to watch the waves out the living room and bedroom windows. Very spacious with everything you needed for your stay. Lucky enough to stay for Whitby goth weekend and it was amazing!

Fantastic weekend in fab location, apartment was perfectly situated and the views, WOW. only slight niggle and it is being fussy but it's the first time we've stayed in a holiday apartment and there were minimal essentials (toilet roll, kitchen foil, hand soap, rubbish bags etc) and no welcome pack (milk, biscuits, wine etc) That said we'd definitely stay again

The view was unmatched and the apartment clean and homely. The bed very comfortable and on the whole had everything that we needed. There were a few bits that I would expect to be included in a holiday let such as this one (and stated on the listing) such as hand soap in the bathroom but this was a minor thing - I do however feel that you can tell that this apartment is run by a company rather than an individual. On our second night, the fire alarm went off in one of the other apartments leaving all of us standing outside on the pavement in the rain (us with our 6 month old baby). Several of us tried to contact home stay about this as the box said “general fault” but was told that they would email the owners. We called the fire brigade as we were unable to enter the property and no one at Home Stay could help with the alarm. The fire brigade came and most importantly, everyone was safe and well but I would expect that there is a protocol for this type of emergency. Very concerning.

Lovely place overlooking the sea. Nice and spacious, easy check in and comfortable beds. Located within a nice clean quiet block with other air bnb’s. Location couldn’t be any better with the sea over the road, free parking outside and a great bakery/town just up the road. A couple of little niggles (dirty crockery and a faulty smoke alarm) but the host was responsive and sorted within the day. Would come again and would recommend.

Beautiful location. Nice decor. Comfy beds. Great wifi. Nice size. However, the blinds let a lot of light in. We could hear the neighbours through the ceiling. There was mould in the shower and the fridge was filthy.

Great apartment in a great location, near the tram lift, with access everything Saltburn has to offer! I was very impressed with the downloadable, information booklet which included everything about Anchor’s Away (the apartment) from check in details to their green initiatives, to their recommendations for restaurants and bars. Very useful! The actual apartment wouldn’t be suitable for those who have difficulty climbing stairs but if this isn’t a problem, the stairs are well worth it! The view overlooking the sea and the cliffs are simply stunning. We watched sunsets in the evening and sunrises in the morning! The apartment is spacious and clean. We will hopefully return in the near future. Loved it!

Very comfortable apartment, exactly as described, lovely views. We spent a few days visiting family in the area and it was very clean and just what we needed. Lots going on in Saltburn including the food festival. Great location, we would stay again.

Lovely apartment in a great location on the sea front. Comfy beds and sofas, well equipped and hot & well pressurised shower. Worth noting that it’s a second floor apartment with steps up to the front door too so probably not suitable for those with mobility issues. Would stay again in future.

Perfect location, easy parking, stunning views. Spacious apartment with everything you would need for a holiday away. Only downside are the stairs i usually teavel with my sister and she would have struggled with them. I would highly recommend and would stay again 😀

Beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. Exactly as described with everything you needed. The location overlooking the sea is amazing. To sit in the morning, eating breakfast and looking out to sea is idyllic. The apartment was warm and cosy when we wanted to stay in and everything else was in walking distance. Overall amazing property and I would like to think we will return again.

The apartment was lovely, the only problem was it was on the SECOND-FLOOR not the first as stated in your description. If id have known that i woldnt have booked, as have problems with stairs , so maybe alter the desciption on your site. Apart from that , really good.

It was a lovely, well finished apartment in a great area right on the waterfront. Unfortunately the trip was marred by a lack of heating or hot water on arrival. We went around 18 hours cold and unable to have a shower from report to resolution. The lady on the phone didn't seem very sympathetic towards our situation but did keep us in the loop after a long wait. When the plumber arrived, he quickly found that the pre-paid meter had not been topped up by the host. I unfortunately can't give the host the benefit of the doubt after seeing multiple other reviews on AirBnb and other sites with the same issue. The property is also for sale, which may be a reason for them not bothering to keep the meter topped up. A simple preventable issue unfortunately happened due to a lack of care.

We loved our recent stay at Anchors Away and the flat was everything we wanted and more, we felt so at home there. Loved being able to see the sea and chill out! Shower was gorgeous and the dishwasher a bonus! Would stay again!

We loved our stay at this beautiful apartment in a perfect location for everything you need in Saltburn, with amazing views of the sea and pier. Spacious, modern living room and well kitted-out kitchen, comfy bedrooms and a great shower! We had an issue with the boiler on arrival which was sorted immediately by the very helpful and responsive host team. We had our 2.5 year old son with us, and for any parents of young families we would point out that the doors in the flat slam really loudly, so worth taking into account for naps and sleeps. My only issue with Host and Stay is that they charge a £250 damage deposit, which incurs a non-refundable £10 transaction fee, or you can choose to pay a £25 damage waiver. Either way, this appears to double up on the protection offered to hosts via AirBnB, and adds £10 or £25 to the booking price. That said, we would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful apartment on a fantastic location. However we were only there for two nights and when we arrived back on the second day the heating wasn’t working and no hot water. We telephoned and after holding on for Several minutes was told someone would come to fix it. Didn’t give me Much confidence because he couldn’t give me a name of the person that was coming. Four hours later still no One had arrived. Called again and they asked if we wanted to cancel because would be another two hours probably before anyone got there. We cancelled the call and went to bed because it was a cold November night and the only place we could get warm was bed. We got up the next morning and couldn’t get a shower because no Hot water and we left by 9am. I put in a complaint for a partial refund and still not had a reply🤬 I prefer the personal touch and will not book an Airbnb hosted by Host and Stay again.

Just a few niggles; the shower trap was blocked which you’d think the cleaner would have noticed as the shower tray filled up straight away. Host and Stay did get back to us about this and sent someone after we had left… (we could use the shower just had to leave the trap out) The view from the front is magnificent but unfortunately the blinds can not be raised which was a pity. Beware the corners of the bed in the small room, they are quite sharp and give a good bruise if you bump into them.

The property is lovely overlooking the sea. Comfortable and with everything you need. I do feel that host and stay properties are more like a business ‘inside’ airbnb (I like the personal feel of renting from individuals rather than businesses) and objected to the £25 bond we had to pay. That said, it was a lovely apartment and I’d stay again.

Excellent location and great views from our 2nd floor apartment through the floor to (almost) ceiling windows. Straight out to sea/pier with the cliffs visible. Could watch the early morning swimmers and surfers. Even one of our dogs spent ages looking out the window at the view. On street parking was easy after the Sunday daytime when lots of people around due to fine weather and some hill climb event but most left around teatime so could move car right outside the door. Kitchen good although only cooked one meal. Plenty of crockery and cutlery. Dishwasher and tablets so no washing up :-). Tea and coffee available although we brought and used our own. Would definitely use this apartment again if visit Saltburn.

This apartment is located on the seafront with spectacular views of the beach and pier, with everything within walking distance. The apartment was clean with modern, minimalist furnishings. We appreciated the supply of milk sachets and tea and coffee when we arrived. We had to climb up several flights of stairs to reach our apartment on the second floor, so this wouldn't suit someone who has difficulty with walking. The only faults were the rug in the living room was hairy and in need of a good clean and that there was an additional £60 cleaning fee and £10 non-refundable fee for breakages added onto the price, which was not obvious from the description on the website when we booked. That said, I would be happy to stay here again.

Fantastic views of the pier and sea front. Very nice flat, spacious and well equipped. Wasn’t expecting to also have to register with Host & Stay and to be charged to leave a damage deposit on my credit card after booking through Airbnb, but once that was sorted was all ok.

We stayed in Anchor's Away apartment situated on the second floor, which afforded excellent sea views overlooking the pier and great location for the town centre and all the amenities on offer. A clean and modern apartment with everything you need.
