Overall we had a good stay at the property with our family and one dog. It’s well located in Whitby, and the town and beach are all easily walkable. It’s great there’s one parking space, but it’s unlikely there’ll only be one car with 6 guests, so that was a bit frustrating having to find public parking and pay for it. The one way system makes it a little hard to find initially. The property was clean, and rooms are spacious and as advertised. Some areas are already a little tired with marks on walls etc. Kitchen facilities were adequate and crockery available. We visited on a hot weekend - obviously this is not often a problem but the whole house was extremely hot, particularly the living area due to it being at the top of the house and windows. The communication with the property hosts - if there’s been a major problem I think they’d have helped, but it did feel like a bit of a money making exercise - emails ++ for extras - insurance, early or late check in etc which I didn’t like.

We really enjoyed our stay, great that there was a parking space. Lovely fresh decor - which is not always the case when it’s dog friendly! Spacious bedrooms with en-suite to the two doubles, plus a house bathroom and an extra loo! Would definitely return and recommend!

Great stay, easy to find and super walkable to everything we wanted to do. The rooms were all great sizes, and the open living space for perfect for our family incl toddlers & dog!

Great location with a sea view. The place was spotless and spacious, plenty of space for 6 adults an infant and 2 dogs. We will definitely stay here again when visiting the area

Lovely property In a great location to the main area of Whitby, easy to walk there and back if you don’t mind walking on a little bit of an incline when going back to the accommodation. Spacious accomodation and clean Good amenities Would recommend and stay again :) Had a high chair but this was not easy to find and we were told they had one and then told that there wasn’t one. It was found in the boiler cupboard in one of the ensuite bathrooms. Shame that they did not have a travel cot

A very comfortable and spacious home for 3 adults, with everything we needed and in a fantastic location. I would definitely stay again if in the area and would recommend it. The Cornish Bakery, near the beach is great for pasties and coffee!

We had a great stay. The location was brilliant, although this did mean there could be people walking past the window talking loudly. It was very spacious and nicely decorated with a lovely sea view.

The property was located centrally for Whitby with all of the town within walking distance. The house was in great condition, very clean, lots of amenities and very spacious. Overall and excellent stay for us and highly recommended

Really lovely, spacious place to stay. The living area is huge and having a parking space, was definitely a bonus. It’s a little hard to find with the one way system but once we figured it out, the location was great. Everything you need is within easy walking distance. Would recommend to anyone travelling to Whitby.

Amazing stay!!!! would highly recommend and I would stay here again. Huge place, loads of room, comfy beds, everything brand new. Easy to find a parking space for one car. Right next to all the attractions at whitby. I could actually live there was that impressive.

A wonderful few days spent at 1 the mount. Plenty of space with everything we needed and gorgeous views. Outside space wasnt an issue for the dogs as there is a big green area opposite the property. Only negative was the narrow entrance to the house which made it difficult with cases and our pram but we made it work! Would definitely stay again

A lovely place with a very high quality finish. It was super clean. Five of us stayed and the location was perfect. If you stay here, be prepared to walk up some hills but to be honest we loved it and it gave our legs a much needed workout. The host was really fast on response to query - the instructions are all online so make sure you download or bookmark the site. Really easy to park and get in. We will definitely come back we loved it. I will leave with a comment from Will my daughter’s boyfriend as he walked in .. “Wow this is brilliant, the best place I’ve ever stayed in ..” Thank you and we’ll be back. Perfectly located for all Whitby had to offer. Ideal for 3 couples to stay, well laid out with the living room and kitchen on the top floor with views to the Whalebone arch, Captain Cook statue and the sea. Contact with Dale throughout booking, leading up to and during our stay was prompt and informative. We would stay in 1 The Mount again !!

Beautiful house with lots of space for 6 of us and a toddler, staying with 3 generations of our family there felt plenty of room, with comfortable rooms and living space. Everything we needed was to hand. We used the local recommendations for places to eat and visit which was helpful. Perfectly located with good walking straight out of the door. The parking space was handy for access. we would definitely recommend and return if in the area again. Thank you

Overall very nice stay. Great communication and check in. Location was perfect and very handy having a parking space. There were a few minor issues with the rental but not big enough to post publicly. We would definitely stay again and that’s the main thing.

The place itself is lovely and would recommend staying here! We had an uncomfortable run in with the locals when we took a wrong turn and couldn’t find our parking space. But host and stay were very helpful when contacted and made us feel at home!

It’s a shame that check-in was late and check-out was so early which meant we couldn’t relax and make the most of our short getaway. Otherwise the property was lovely - great layout for our large family and plenty of bathrooms which is always useful. We enjoyed the town, many restaurants and activities.

Lovely location and the place itself is beautiful, lots of kitchen equipment and everything there we needed. The place was really amazing and the location was perfect just a short walk to the beach. I have no complaints of the property or communication. My only complaint is the deposit process…. I have no problem paying a deposit but the amount of time after it takes to get the deposit back quite frankly is too long considering it’s a large amount. I’ve stayed and many places before and I’ve never had to wait this long to receive a deposit back. Truthfully it would put me off staying again.

Very nicely decorated and in a very convenient place to access all the key parts of Whitby. Top floor lounge/kitchen area with a view of the sea down the Khyber Pass is stunning.

Great accommodation with top class fixtures and fittings. Great location with great views from lounge. Need to be aware of £25 insurance surcharge which you find out after booking. Also could do with a different photograph showing accommodation and parking as this would make it easier to find as there is another 1 the mount nearby. Overall very good accommodation in great location.

Excellent location with sea view , rooms over 3 floors with living area upstairs , complexed one way system to find the place but the parking spot was a great help for ferrying people around We would visit again

Obviously newly marketed as some appliances still have the labels on. Which spoilt the home from home ambience. Clean property that works well across 3 floors. Great to have 4 bathrooms/toilets Disappointed by… Small shower in double bedroom in ground floor. Not enough crockery and cutlery … maybe it is assumed that we will eat out all the time. Hanging/ wardrobe provision is completely inadequate if staying for more than I/2 nights

Great location, very spacious, and rare to find one with parking in that area. Property was freshly renovated with great amenities - maybe too freshly renovated, since builders visited during our stay to handle snagging
