Myself and my partner took my 92 year old grandma away for a long weekend away, she wanted to go to the Yorkshire coast one last time. The accommodation was perfect, easy for her to mobilise around, quiet, clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for helping us create some ever lasting, beautiful memories.

A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings with beautiful views. Cottage was very spacious very clean with comfortable beds and nice comfy furniture to relax on. Sadly Kitchen was a little tired, a cupboard door hanging off! It is definitely in need of a little bit of TLC, frying pan was misshaped so wouldn’t safely rest on the hob to cook with. Oven took ages to heat up. The toaster didn’t work properly- was stiff to get bread to stay down on one side.

I had a fantastic couple of days break away from everything whilst staying here. So quiet and relaxing! I'll be staying again for sure as a fantastic location as well. The hosts are very pro-active and responsive, great attention to detail.

Spacious and comfortable accommodation. Need non slip mats in baths. Also could do with yellow non trip tape on floor height changes. Well equipped but could have done with a potato peeler! Ideal spot for accessibility for beautiful coast and moors.

This was not a first time visit for us, we were joining a group of friends in the main house which was a bonus for us. The venue overall is fantasic for either small personal stays, utilising the attached cottage or family/group events and having easy access to the main building to join others.

this place is huge, big rooms, bedrooms lounge kitchen, two conservatories to enjoy, bookshelf full of books. all you need appliance wise. quiet location with 10min access to supermarket/ petrol station. good food in l9cal pubs etc. would highly recommend.

Absolutely appalling. The cottage is dirty, smells musty and needs deep cleaning and updating. We left within an hour of arriving. The cottage smelt mouldy/damp, the shower was hanging off the wall, sofa is all stained, kitchen tap was leaking continuously, the blinds in the conservatory don’t open and have mould on them. There are cobwebs everywhere, the fridge and microwave were dirty. We were moved to another property which was in a terrible area. Host & Stay replied to messages until we complained and to this day we still haven’t received a response. Absolutely terrible service, don’t recommend booking here!

Great location and quirky vibe. Just needs a make over and proper kitchen set up for four people. Bathrooms tired, outdated and damp smelling. Recycling a bit basic. Great television and WiFi.

Positives were - Lovely, cosy lounge area with plenty of sitting. Kitchen area clean & useful with 2 fridges, main equipment provided. The location in the middle of the golf course was nice whilst having a good amount of shops nearby with a retail park within 5 mins drive. Good location to Saltburn within 5 mins drive. Comfy beds, clean linen & good supply of towels. Powerful shower & nice there were several sitting areas aswell as the main lounge. Negatives were - the Wifi signal was poor which was disappointing and although there is a log burner - no logs are provided. This would have been handy to know beforehand.

Loved the cottage, private and secluded but near to local towns and Whitby. Lovely walk from the cottage to the coast / beach and easily driveable to Saltburn by the Sea, Staithes and Whitby. Spacious cottage and loved having a bathroom each. Would absolutely recommend and already planning our next visit. Thank you

Lovely location, great cottage and facilities. So much to do within 10-30 minutes drive nearby. Stayed as a small family of 2 adults and 1 little one and it was perfect. But easily would be enough for family of 4-5 too. Host was lovely on arrival and leaving. Great week away.

Really enjoyed our stay here although the property felt like it lacked a bit of love & a cleaner who paid attention to dust & cobwebs in less obvious places. Beds in single room not put together as requested(error from Air BnB communication I think). Kitchen bin had no lid, not sure why this would be deemed acceptable in an open plan kitchen diner?? New bin delivered after seeing owner on day 3. More information about local walks, restaurants etc could be included in the accommodation and old stuff from 2015 chucked out! Water hot & plentiful, but temperature gauge on showers extremely sensitive so you could scald yourself quite easily with only the slightest of adjustments or accidental nudges. Biggest moan was the £10 charge from Host & Stay to pay my deposit against breakages etc - completely excessive & could either pay it or cancel holiday. Not impressed with that!! Despite the not so positive comments, we did have a lovely stay and loved the peace & tranquillity.

Amazing cottage bursting with character and charm. Chris is a wonderful host offering great advice on local walks and he instantly resolved the issue of my daughter locking herself out of her room. What a treat to see so much wildlife on the doorstep - bats, hares, deer, swans, barn owls and squirrels. The place has so many rooms to find solace with a gorgeous breakfast room to enjoy the morning sun and a stunning conservatory in the evening to watch the squirrels gathering and feeding. The woodburner was an extra delight with the rather sudden appearance of autumn. The cottage was toasty warm and such comfortable beds and furniture. It feels so private and peaceful with everything you could need with such a well stocked kitchen. I would highly recommend and hope to get back as soon as we can.

Positives Property nice and spacious Negatives Property hadn’t been cleaned properly. Fridge and freezer still had food and milk left, bathroom not cleaned. Towels were soiled, toilet filthy with excrement on the seat and bowl, bath not clean, sewage smell was foul. A cleaner came to rectify but smell remained

Fantastic country cottage in beautiful surroundings, spacious and comfortable. Good quality beds and furnishings which made it feel a home from home. Hosts were very welcoming and happy to assist. Lots of birds and wildlife around, very peaceful. Good value for money!

Great place to stay. Super clean, great location and everything you need for a quite comfortable and relaxing time. We were met on arrival and were shown around and asked if there was anything else that we needed, if so just to get in touch. A good base for exploring the area. walks, beaches etc. We highly recommend and hope to return in the near future.

Quiet location, within walking distance of the Cleveland Way and some fantastic beaches, but also short driving distance of many amenities and sights to see. Easy check-in, no problems - many thanks
