We had a lovely stay. The house was lovely, clean and comfortable. The location is great, close to shops and a short drive to days out. The host company is also easily accessible and replies extremely quickly. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Good location, overall disappointing as contacted agent re no tea, coffee etc as stated it would be but said policy had changed (within a couple of days!). Kitchen oven trays dirty and mould in the bathroom. Wood burner available but no starter wood provided and no fire glove provided. When messaging on Air b&b platform the responses were AI generated and when we called the host agent she was very unhelpful. The furniture was tired and shabby.

Me and my family had a lovely stay. The house was exactly as described and the host was amazing throughout. The local town is beautiful and well worth a short walk to. The location is amazing if you want to discover the Peak District with its of trails and walks within a short distance. Overall I would highly recommend this place and defo coming back in the summer.

Overall, the stay was good and did what we needed. Check-in was very easy using a door code, and the house matched the description in the listing. The location is good, in a pleasant area, and the house itself was comfortable inside. There were a couple of small issues. There were rubbish bags piling up outside near a window rather than being in bins, and there was some black mould around that window. The bathroom was also a bit grubby. I also felt that the upselling of the damage protection plan was a little pushy Despite that, it was good value for the price, in a good location, and generally a nice place to stay.

Thank you for a fantastic stay. When we first pulled up we were initially apprehensive as the bins were overflowing right out the front of the house (no fault of the host, time of the year and sporadic bin dates). However, walking into the property we and our kids absolutely loved it, everything we needed and a short walk to the picturesque Ashbourne. A few areas needed a bit of tlc, the living room table is worse for wear, wobbly and wood is quite badly split. The front window in the single bedroom doesn't shut fully and we thought the kitchen could do with more equipment, bigger pans, whisk etc. All in all we loved our stay and would definitely return. As foster carers, this was our foster babies first trip away, so will always remember this place fondly. Thank you for a lovely stay, Dan

Lovely little cottage and very comfortable and warm. Great location and would stay again. Needs a little TLC - broken bin lid, wobbly front room table and a broken knife - very quick and easy repairs and small things really Overall we enjoyed it Note if booking - there’s not much there to get you started No wood for the log burner, infact there’s nothing for the burner. No sponges in kitchen, no salt or pepper or oil or tea bags etc You need to take everything

A nice house, a great value weekend. The house was clean and had three nice bedrooms. When we arrived the road was very busy, we decided to park further away from the house due to watching a stationary car be hit by a van close to the house but there is plenty of parking and much quieter just a short walk down the road. The location was nice and just as short walk from the village which had great places to eat and shops to browse. A great house to just be with friends, thank you.

We were staying in Ashbourne for a 60th birthday celebration. The house was perfect for our family and it felt comfortable and had all that we needed for a weekend stay. The Host and Stay team dealt with any enquiries I had and responded very quickly to my emails which I was I impressed with.

Right in the centre of Ashbourne so we were able to easily walk into town. Had some communication issues with the hosts around the availability of a high chair and a cot, which had been shown in photos. I emailed to be told they could not be provided but when we arrived at the property both were there along with baby gates (although the cot was not in the best condition). The place was very clean. A suggestion would be to increase the quality of the bedding and mattress and also to provide better storage options in the bedrooms. The railing they had was very unsturdy and not really usable. All in all it was a decent place in a great location.

Bins overflowing and despite promise to empty on Friday - still there on Monday. Very very very noisy and busy road and door opens straight onto it Dirty crockery Mould in bathroom Cigarette butts all over in the back garden and particularly in a garden planter Overgrown brambles so you cannot use the gate to access the footpath. And whilst not on your property the view from the back door has offensive language graffitied across it and is unsuitable for young families.

We had a lovely stay at this property. The accommodation was perfect for our 5 person party and a great location for our trips to Alton Towers, with some lovely pubs/restaurants nearby and conveniently located for Aldi and the retail park. Yes, on street parking is a bit of a hit or miss directly outside the house, however always got parked near the property. For those who mentioned the uncomfortable sofa - it has been replaced! The garden was lovely and a perfect place to relax after a busy day. All in all, a comfortable stay and would have no hesitation to recommend this property.

Convenient for Alton Towers in nice village with some nice pubs and restaurants. Accommodated family of 5 nicely. On main road with limited on pavement parking which made unloading a challenge. Only gripe was that sofas are rock hard and mattresses on beds felt soft.

lovely little property, beautifully furnished.....apart from the seating in the lounge, both settees were very uncomfortable and looked tired and out of place with everything in the rest of the property, such a shame.
