No windows in bedrooms very musty smell with no air circulation … everyone tripped on the different size step on stairs at one point

Very central
Very small 4 people unable to relax. One small sofa. 4 folding hard chairs. No space to relax
No ventilation. Mattresses v poor springs coming through. More pillows would be good. Not really livable for 4 adults.

The room did not match the photos provided—the furniture was mismatched and visibly worn. The bathroom had missing tiles and several poorly patched holes in the walls. Although it appeared to have once been finished to a high standard, it’s clear that the property is no longer maintained at that level.
While the location was excellent, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again or recommend it to others.

Central location was the only positive we found to be honest, albeit down a bin filled alley.
After asking earlier in the week if we would need a stair gate for my one year old and told no, we found the apartment is centred around an open staircase which meant we could only use the apartment to sleep so as not to have any accidents. Would be difficult for anyone a little bit wobbly, not just a baby! The apartment was filthy, particularly the bathroom with old toothbrushes down the side of the shower, gross. Upon arrival the key wasn't in the box so we had to wait for over an hour for a solution which was irritating. No wifi or signal either which is strange in 2025. We complained and were offered an apology & a discount on our next stay - ridiculous and wouldn't stay again if we were paid. Very central location which will no doubt catch other people out.

The mattress was lumpy and we both had 3 very unpleasant nights sleep. TV/Toaster/A/C not working. Grouting in bathroom very shoddy or missing. Cowboy workmen level. Flat 1 below had frequent male callers which made it feel unsafe for my wife. All in all, a terrible experience. I expect a prompt reply and a solution to this honest feedback before I take matters further. I can be contacted on 07786 876361 to discuss. Regards Chuck Milne

The big plus is how central this studio flat is in Hereford. River, shops, restaurants, bars, cathedral, theatre, places of interest all so easily walkable, all on the level. The accommodation itself is compact but ideal for an exploring couple, with comfy bed and easy to operate shower. Don't be put off by the shabbiness of the shared outside passage and shared internal stairs: all is fine when you get into the flat itself. The smallish space has been well designed: there are kitchen facilities and a good shower room. There's no on site parking due to the really central position in a mostly pedestrianised area, but pay parking by Hereford football stadium is a shor and easy walk away.

It is central.
The beds are very small for doubles and there is a pillar in the middle of one of them. No extra pillows or cover/duvets as it’s very cold. There’s no room for entertaining or for dining actually. The stairs are hazardous, it’s very cold downstairs in the bedrooms and one of the bedroom heaters did not work. The shower pressure is very weak. There is no reasonable room for cooking. Very basic. Not very clean. Not fit for 4 persons.

Not one thing
AVOID THIS PLACE.
The living area is in fact a landing with TV, giving the overall feel of waiting for a doctors appointment. The couch is in fact an upholstered bench. The only window is caked in years worth of dirt and does not open. There is brick dust from the fireplace on carpet and weeks worth of dust, dirt and various detritus from previous guests (roll on deodorant bottle and a sponge to name a couple) underneath both the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Making it clear that the place is not at all maintained beyond a tertiary wave of a dry cloth. One half of the shower door is only held on by the top runners. No shampoo or soap provided. No bin liners. The battery in the smoke alarm needs replacing, spent three nights listening to it chirping. Raised this issue with the hosts who told me to “feel free to replace them” myself despite several signs warning me not to tamper with the alarm. Extractor fan above oven does not work. Insane 9 point escape plan for secondary fire exit that includes collecting a ladder from the opposite end of the property. Bed frame in second bedroom has been sawed away to fit around central pillar in the room. The plates were chipped. There was no milk to go with the Coffee and Tea. Staff are quick to reply with a thousand impotent apologies but that’s as far as your complaint will get. No action taken. It’s a shame I can only upload 4 of the countless photos I have revealing the truth about the hideous place. Overpriced, under maintained and downright dangerous. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Great apartment with nice features in an awesome location. The apartment was quaint and had the base features needed.
Access to the property was easy and clear.
The checkout process was smooth and the self service nature meant it was flexible on checkin.
Had numerous issues during our stay and although the host was quick to acknowledge, remediation did not occur.
We had the power cut out and nobody was sent to evaluate, after many hours the power came back on and we had to inform the host and send videos.
Part of the ceiling collapsed and rubble and debris was all over the floor, sent videos and photos the host and it took over a day to brush the debris to the side so we had a walkable path without dust going everywhere. The debris remained until the end of our stay.
There was a leak in the ceiling which flooded the carpet, again the host was quick to respond, but it was over a day before they sent someone to investigate by which point the floor had dried up by itself.
Some of the radiators did not work, the one in the bedroom would beep with an error, and the one in the upstairs living room did not switch on at all.
The wifi was extremely slow and we ended up tethering from one of our phones as pages would not load. The host recommended resetting the router which did not resolve this and no further action was taken by them.
After all the above issues the host only offered a £90.50 refund which we felt did not cover the extra work uploading videos, reporting everything, and dealing with the issues at the property.

the location and some of the features of the studio apartment
My main concern was that part of the ceiling plaster fell down in the hallway outside my apartment during the eve. I was anxious that more could fall and no one responded to my messages. There was a loud noise and further chunks of plaster could have fallen on someone.
I was only given 2 small towels, which were inadequate for a shower and there was some black mould around shower basin.
The one window looks out onto a very dirty concrete area and could benefit from some film on this window.

There was no hot water. I couldn’t shower after spending all day with my mother in hospital for five days. They did not fix it and have not responded to my complaint and request for a refund. I had to stay elsewhere which I could not afford. Appalling.

The apartment was attractive and the beds were very comfortable. The walk in shower was great. . The location was perfect for walking to attractions, shops and restaurants.
A few things needed attention like the bathroom door handle that was loose, ditto the tap in the kitchen. The outside entrance could be made much more appealing, it looked grubby and uncared for. Also the stair carpet inside badly needed hoovering.

The Aircon didn't work, there was no ventilation other than the window leading to the patio full of pigeons. A bunch of things were broken (toilet brush, shower water hearing system had a broken button).

Location was excellent so I understand the price layout of property was good communication was excellent with reception staff.
Crockery was chipped. Sofa cushions caved in when you sat down.chair had broken leg. Tap in the kitchen was loose and behind the sofa was rubbish and feathers ,in the smaller room you couldn't use the wardrobe as one of the doors was loose, however this didn't stop us from enjoying our time and we would go back knowing this. We come every 6 months as I attend my grandparents and mum's graves and we do shopping and go to the cathedral .

The kitchenette in the room was excellent as was the ensuite bathroom.
Before receiving info re keys location we had to complete a form on line with our details including our bank details so that the owners could take any extra money from our account for damages if needed even though we had fully paid. The windows were in a dirty state and unlockable- 1 window could have been entered by a neighbour. It was a very small double bed. We did not get the promised WiFi as the WiFi serial number we were given did not match any available and the password we were given did not work with any with similar but non-identical serial numbers.

Where do I start , booked the property for 3 weeks , when checking in for the first week they had not sent cleaners to the property before my check in due to a ' scheduling' the property was vandalised and digusting. Had to book a hotel for the first week which they only refunded what it would cost to stay at their property. Had to pay out of my own pocket for a mistake that was not mine. They did offer a diff property but was further away

Hate to give bad reviews but would give this place a 0 star if I could. My friend and I arrived and checked in to find disgusting staining all up the walls by the bed, it seemed recent and looked to be sick, blood or worse. It was crusty on the headboard from this substance and was absolutely vile. We then realised that the rest of the property couldn’t be properly clean if that had been left like that so obviously. It was later in the evening so tried to contact the host to no prevail. I didn’t hear back till after lunch the next day. We obviously didn’t stay as was so disgusting. The place is also dingy and dark and not at all as well finished as the photos make it look. It is unacceptable to be renting a property that is obviously not cleaned properly. I do not trust this place to be rented again.

Mostly clean. Good facilities and comfy beds. Excellent location right in middle of town centre. Quiet. Well furnished. Excellent communication with agents.
We had a really good time apart from a few snagging points. On approach to the front door once you come through the gate it is absolutely littered with cigarette ends and empty drinks cans. We stayed in the top apartment and the carpet up the stairs to the apartment didn't look like it had been hoovered for a long time. Inside the property there was a large (what looked like blood) stain on the curtains in the main room and the fridge had not been cleaned properly, the top shelf it was littered in chocolate cake crumbs. Quite a lot of stairs so if there is mobility issues please take this into account.

The actual flat was OK.
We arrived in the dark and there was no outside lighting with irregular path which was dangerous. The stairs leading to our flat were disgusting. They were covered with cigarette ash and looked like they had not been cleaned in weeks. The flat had a sofa bed but no sheets were provided. The kitchen had not been cleaned after the previous guests.

Location in the city centre.
Nice kitchen.
The basement we rented smelled of tobacco so much that our clothes kept the smell when we unpacked back home. It was incredible, as the property made us pay a deposit and sign a draconian agreement which included, among many other prohibitions, a ban on smoking. The smell came from a kind of mailbox full of butts at the entrance door that hadn't been emptied in a long time. The access was also very dirty.
The bedrooms, toilet and couch were tiny.
In all the years I've been using Booking it's the first time I find such a disagreeable reservation policy. Reading the agreement made you feel like a criminal. I only accepted that conditions because it was a last minute booking and found no other option.

Smashed entrance door meant somebody could open the door from the outide without a key, not a double bed it was 3/4, smelt of weed in corridor, man living in the building seemed heavily under the influence of illegal substances and made us feel very uncomfortable. Could hear everytime the front door opened and closed and could hear whenever somebody was walking around the room above. Entrance was very unappealing and run down.

The immediate surroundings are a little unprepossessing, you enter through a back yard and when I arrived there were people standing smoking outside the front door. The staircase and landings do smell of smoke, but as another review mentioned you cannot smell smoke once inside. The studio is exactly as described, and works well for one person. Bathroom and kitchen both of good quality, though washbasin in the bathroom is a little difficult to use as it is positioned very high - about chest height (I'm 5'7"). The shower worked fine, I didn't have the problems other reviews mentioned, but it isn't particularly hot. The fridge, as another review mentioned, is way too cold and froze everything. I was able to shop each day, but if you wanted to stock up for a few days it would be impossible as everything would be frozen. I would also recommed bringing an eye mask, as there is a window by the bed opposite which is a security light that is on all night. The curtain is a too short to block it.

Flat 3, the Penthouse, is very nicely furnished and clean. We liked the central location and didn't find it too noisy, even though we were there on a saturday night and it's right in the centre of town. We found it straightforward to get the key, although it took a few tries to figure out the fob and which key was which. Once we were in though it was fine.
The sofa bed isn't brilliantly comfortable; the mattress is thin and the frame a bit bent. Outside the front door to the flats were two pots full of cigarette butts and a slighly worse-for-wear looking piece of astro-turf. This wasn't a great welcome, although not a disaster by any means. The pigeons were quite noisy!

Was right in the centre of town so close to all the shops, takeaways and pubs. Although it was in the centre of town it was quiet with no disturbance. As stated in the listing there is not car parking but there is loads of car parks within walking distance very close. Car parking is free on the streets from 1800-0800 which is good. Safe area as there is a Police Station in one of the nearby streets. So parking the car in the street at night is no issue as there is the Police Station and cameras.
Had everything you would need for cooking your own food. Also a fridge, microwave and kettle.

The property was really clean and right in the centre of Hereford and gaining access was really easy.
We booked the basement flat, pictures on booking.com were misleading as the apartment looked an awful lot bigger. There wasn't a proper living room, it was more a landing with a small 2 seater settee small table and TV. The rooms were tiny with no windows, it was a rather warm weekend so the apartment was roasting. Definitely not suited to a larger taller male, mine and my friends partner (6ft plus) struggled walking down the stairs without banging their heads and using the bathroom was a struggle as so small. This apartment would be more suited for 2 people. It's definitely way too small for more than that.

The apartment is in a fantastic location with contact-less check-in and checkout and efficient communication from the host. I stayed here for a long weekend of work.
My main gripe was with the shower. When I arrived, the shower was off at the fuse. When I eventually discovered this and turned it on, it was fine until my last day, when the fuse tripped mid shower, twice. I later discovered this was a known issue with the shower that they had failed to notify me about at the start. They stated if only I had mentioned this to them they would have told me what to do. Which is not helpful after the fact. However, it turns out I had already tried their "fix" and it didn't work anyway. I would suggest asking them if they have repaired /replaced the shower.
The place is well presented and is very characterful with wonky floors, but a nice new bathroom and everything I needed for a few days, including clothes horse and box of tea bags and coffee pods. Netflix is a nice touch.
The smoking area is right outside the front door, but when I reached the apartment I couldn't smell the smoke anymore.
Overall I had a comfortable stay (except for the shower) and it served its purpose.

The studio is in a very convenient position in the middle of town and the service from Josh at Guest Homes is excellent. This was good as we had a lot of problems - the shower repeatedly broke and their wasn't any dish washing equipment when we arrived. The bed is essentially a camp bed and we had to put the legs back in position as when we arrived one was pointing side ways meaning we slept very badly the first night. The actual house which the room is in is in a very crumby internal courtyard and looks out onto two courtyards, one at the window height where there are lots of bins. We had problems with the fridge freezing all our food, even when we tried different settings, which made a whole load of freshly bought veg inedible - however this might have been our fault. All is all its an adequate base for a walking holiday, when you are getting up early, and spending hardly any time there, but should be about £60 p/n not £100!

The location of this place is fantastic as it is literally in the centre of the city. The only drawback is the parking, as you have to find a car park or street parking. I parked at Merton Meadow and got 24-hour parking for £5.00. There are other car parks nearby, and free parking on the streets after 6:00 p.m. But its worth noting. Hence why I gave the place 4* and not 5*

A very nicely furnished and well located studio in the centre of Hereford. Unfortunatley the off site parking didn't lend itself to the purpose of my stay ( I was on a fishing trip and leaving all my stuff in the car or carring it the apartment was not practical) So I cut the stay short. Josh was very understanding and proffesional dealing with my request and I would certainly recomend this place to stay to anyone wanting quiet comfort in the middle of town.

This is a really well-located flat in the centre of Hereford, but just tucked away enough to avoid noise from outside. It's a really cool-looking studio. Unfortunately the combo of the bed and a loud fridge makes it a problem if you're a light sleeper, but it was mostly fine for me.
