Gwenelin Cottage was absolutely perfect, it was just what we were looking for during our stay in the Cotswolds. The place was spotless and super cozy! Sarah was wonderful and very quick at replying. Can highly recommend to anyone!

My partner and I spent a wonderful two nights in this cottage. It was a perfect size for us and was extremely quaint, comfortable and is as you see in the photos. The property was clean, in fantastic condition and the bed was extremely comfortable! The hosts were very responsive to our communication (we had some challenges turning on the gas stove and one of the electric heaters) and check-in instructions were very clear. The property is a little hard to find (we spent 5 minutes walking around the court trying to find the correct door number - they could probably improve the instructions here - the entrance is actually on another side street connected to the main road) and note that it is near the main village B road but we barely noticed any noise during our stay. Bretforton is also a great base for exploring the Cotswolds - we also walked to their local pub (The Fleece) which is 5 minutes away from the property and had a lovely dinner there, would highly recommend checking it out!

Stunning place, very cosy, beautiful decor! Sarah the owner was very responsive when we couldn’t get the fireplace to work, so she came out on New Year’s Eve to help us light it, bless her. Very quick at replying too. Really appreciated it! The place was perfect for a couple of nights stay, had all the things we needed to cook a meal in. Lovely pub down the road too. And close enough to Stow on the Wold and Bourton on the water which we visited. Would recommend. Also the bed, was quite possibly the best bed I’ve ever slept in. Wow!!

Fantastic cosy cottage with gorgeous original features! Perfect for a Christmas get away. The bed is soo comfortable and the shower gives you a great wake-up blast! A visit to The Fleece Inn is a must! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was stunning, very clean and well equipped! The bed is incredibly comfortable and the whole space feels very homely. We would love to come back! Location is great as very close to other Cotswolds towns and it’s a quick 5 mins walk to the local pub.

The place is very warm and roomy, The location is amazing I enjoyed watching a local cricket match. And the hosts were great very responsive and always answered promptly. When coming to the cotwsolds we are sure to visit again.

We very much enjoyed a lovely stay. The cottage was beautifully presented and is part of a nice group of buildings in a picturesque Cotswolds village. Unfortunately the cottage is right next to the fairly busy main road through the village that got noisy from pretty early each day. This did spoil the otherwise peaceful feel to the place. The other thing to mention is that the ceilings are very low so if you are tall like me then you'll have to be careful not bang your head on the exposed wooden beams. Other than those minor points everything else was brilliant and my good lady and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there in what is a beautiful part of the world.

An absolutely perfect 2 night getaway. As soon as I walked in, it felt like home. So cosy and peaceful. The cottage was in pristine condition, with everything you could want and need. The bed was so comfortable, the bath felt luxury. The fire whilst watching netflix added to the coziness. So relaxing. I will be back and recommend to family and friends. Thank you!

It’s a lovely, well equipped cottage with high quality furnishings. The weather was pretty chilly when we stayed but the cottage soon warmed up once we got the hang of the gas fire and portable electric heater in the bedroom. It’s well located for traveling to key sights. We didn’t find the shower particularly powerful but luckily the lovely bath was a nice alternative.

We had a superb 2 night stay in this cosy cottage. It was more spacious than we expected and very comfortable. We appreciated the fire a lot as well as the robes and also shower pressure. We would definitely stay again and recommend!

Stayed for two nights here. It was incredibly cosy and just the right size! Sarah was helpful and responsive, along with accommodating us without even 24 hours notice! She went above and beyond to assist getting us in and it was very much appreciated so last minute. The place was spotless and has everything you need! Look forward to returning again soon! Parking was also a bonus and in a safe location.

This cottage was absolutely gorgeous! We had an amazing time here. The character that radiates in this little home is just something else. It was a little chilly in the mornings so the super cosy fire place and blankets was just amazing. There’s a lovely little pub up the road where we had some beautiful food too! Literally an 8 minute walk. Sarah was an amazing host, she responded very quickly and was very helpful. I would definitely definitely recommend this to friends and family looking for a quiet, relaxing, wholesome weekend away xxx

Thank you for a wonderful stay! The cottage was exactly as described: cosy and compact, but with everything you could need, beautifully presented and with welcoming touches of some milk, bread and eggs on arrival. The village is quiet and felt very safe, we loved exploring the local countryside and taking our dog on long walks. Sarah was extremely helpful, we would highly recommend this cottage for a mini break.

This cottage is stunning. Felt like home the minute I walked in. Immaculate, beautiful linens and bath towels provided. Temperature was perfect all the time! The little extras were huge for making my stay extra comfortable - so much so, I extended my trip! Exploring neighboring villages (Stowe on the Wold - best antiques and Broadway Village) this cottage location made it so easy! The local pub is walkable and very cute. Sarah was a delight to deal with. I look forward to a return trip!

We had a really lovely stay. The cottage has lots of character and charm and it is very well equipped. The furnishings are lovely and the bed is very comfortable. We toured the area and it's very well situated for beautiful villages. We visited the Fleece Inn which is full of history. Sarah provided details of restaurants and local takeaways and we chose the Indian one night and it was delicious, thank you.

We stayed at Gwenelin Cottage for 2 nights, was a really quaint cottage in the country exactly what we were looking for. Sarah was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout, I was particularly impressed with the clear instructions both when checking in and departing. Highly recommend the Fleece Inn pub, all in all a great experience

We had a lovely Christmas stay at Gwenelin Cottage. Sarah and Andy were very thoughtful in their welcome pack - lovely free range eggs, local bread etc. We brought our dog and found lovely walks down by the river. The cottage is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. The check in instructions were accurate. The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived and has a gas fired ‘real fire’ making it very cosy. We felt very looked after.
