I wouldn’t book this house again - whilst the agents managing the property endeavoured to be helpful, we had an issue with the heating for approx 2 weeks of our stay where it took some time for the owners, who controlled the thermostat, to turn it up. This was during Christmas when it was very cold and we were staying with toddlers. The agents didn’t know where the thermostat was in the house or the arrangement and there was a lot of back and forth with them and the owners. We also asked for late checkout (would have been happy to pay a fee) but there was absolutely no flexibility shown sadly, despite having stayed at the property for weeks. We also reported that the lock on the bathroom door was broken on the first day of our stay and never heard anything, despite asking for it to be fixed (again we were in the property for a long stay so would have preferred a lock on the door).

A good choice of local cafes and well located for Ragdale Hall (15 mins drive) which was our reason for travelling. We struggled to keep the house warm on this particularly chilly weekend and the beds could be better, neither were particularly comfortable, but overall it was good value and served us well as a base for a couple of nights away.

We really enjoyed our stay in Mountsorrel. We needed a base while emptying our own property and were glad that we found a home from home within 15 minutes. The area was perfect for exploring & eating out etc. Check in and communication was perfect. Highly recommended.

The house was great! Just as nice as the photos & there was a fantastic independent bar right across the street too. Our only quibble was that we were too hot at night. The duvet was quite thick for summer and I think there was a mattress protector that made things less breathable… The bed was really comfy tho and the sheets were super soft and smelt so clean. The garden could do with some attention to make this a truly 5 star stay but we’d definitely recommend booking here and hope to return again ourselves.

The house is situated in a really handy area, plenty of places to get something to eat or drink. The Chinese takeaway over the road was great and the beer shop over the road is definitely worth a visit. We enjoyed both! The canal nearby is very pretty too. The house was really tastefully decorated and the bed sheets and towels were spotless. The only issue we had was that the mattresses in both bedrooms were incredibly uncomfortable. They seemed like they were very worn…there were a few springs almost poking out the mattress that dug into me at times in the night and the mattress felt so thin I could feel the bed base when I laid on it. When you book a vacation, the ability to be able to sleep well is so important, I’d recommend investing in some new mattresses or at least a decent mattress topper. The garden could also use some TLC so it’s more inviting to use. But aside from those 2 things we enjoyed our stay and loved the convenience of the area. Thank you for having us!

Apart from a few cleaning issues, a nice place and we enjoyed our stay. Good size bedrooms, although the beds were not very comfortable. Lovely shower. Good sized kitchen. Small living room. Enclosed garden, good for the dog.

Clear instructions and exactly as described. Great location and brilliant base to explore the area. Parking could be a challenge at times but there’s road works further up the road which may have been having an impact on availability of spaces outside the property.

Beautiful home, well equipped & decorated. Met our needs well. Ideally placed to access local facilities and the whole area had a nice vibe to it. I was disappointed however that the rear garden was in such a mess. It was overgrown, full of brambles and there were cigarette butts and packs left in amongst the weeds. We had clearly stated that we were visiting with 2 dogs and a young toddler so I would have expected to be able to access the garden as part of our stay. Obviously that wasn't possible the case.

We enjoyed a six night stay. We have family in the village and this house was the perfect location. We walked all over the village to multiple cafes and pubs. We even walked through the fields to a neighboring village. It was a wonderful walk along the canal and we were rewarded with a pub. The house had all the necessities and was exactly as described. We have learned that a king sized English bed is more like a queen sized American bed. We would stay again.

This townhouse sits in the most lovely village surrounded by amazing restaurants. The coffee shop next door was our favorite place for breakfast. Next time we head to Montsorell we hope this airbnb is still available, and that John’s place has openings.

The house wasn’t very clean. The sofa was very stained and lumpy and really needs replacing and the kitchen chairs also very dirty. The whole house smelt dusty. It was on a busy main road and noisy at night. We felt it was expensive and over priced.

I stayed here for a weekend away with my husband and two dogs. The house is well equipped with everything you would need and the garden was secure. If I’m the area again I would definitely rent the house again.

Really lovely place, had a slight issue getting into the property however the owner was really responsive and helped to sort things in a timely manner. Great house, close to all the local amenities and really nicely decorated. Had loads of useful stuff and felt like a home from home. Would deffo stay here again.

The house was very handy for us visit Loughborough the noise from the main as loud when in the living room . Internet was poor to watch TV which we only try one night . If I need to stay in Loughborough again, I would use the place again .

This lovely little house did not disappoint. Enough room for the three of us and the dog, comfortable beds, warm and cosy living room, well appointed kitchen and bathroom. Garden is plenty big enough. The area feels very safe. Parking was an easy find on the same road no more than a couple of mins walk back. Dominos pizza and a restaurant opposite, great coffee shop a couple of doors down and nice pub the opposite way by the River Soar which we followed down to the lock and back again with the dog. We were visiting family but this would be a great base to visit the many attractions around Loughborough/Leicester.

A stylish, comfortable cottage, close to local amenities, restaurants, pubs, a great delicatessen/coffee shop and canal walks but with a quiet village feel. The house was spotlessly clean and well-maintained with everything required for a cosy stay

A lovely cottage, great location. Although no allocated parking there was plenty of room on the street. It was spotlessly clean which I would certainly expect as the cleaning charge is quite high. Everything there you could need, I would prefer stair carpet to the very rough matting but thats personal taste. Thoroughly enjoyed staying there
