The apartment was lovely but the whole stay was totally ruined by complete lack of customer care for our safety

The fact that the main front door to the property would not lock or close properly, I reported this the next morning ,a very unhelpful response, and was told eventually a locksmith would be out on Monday,!the day we left ,so we had to sleep in an unlocked apartment with a broken door open to a main busy street ,we felt really unsafe ,and could not leave the property unattended for the whole 3 day stay, as we had a lap top and work computer with us in the apartment. A total disregard for our safety..

Very modern, very clean and very comfortable flat in a great location. Everything provided to ensure your holiday goes smoothly. Easy walking distance to the town centre of Whitby and only a few minutes to the west cliff promenade. Will stay again if visiting Whitby in the future.

The apartment definitely met expectations. It was exactly as pictured and very clean. The location is great, with wonderful views, right by the whale bone arch and a short walk to the centre of all the action. It had everything we needed and a few extras.
A few negatives… although a parking space is included, which was very helpful, it is down a very narrow road behind the building and next to a pole, which made it quite tricky to get in and out of. We also got blocked in one day and another day, when we returned, a work van had parked in the space.
The day the work van had been in the reserved parking space, unfortunately we discovered that someone had been in the apartment while we were out and had left visible signs that they had used the toilet. This was disappointing and felt a bit unsafe. We weren’t sure why they were in there, we weren’t notified and a note wasn’t left.
A very small thing but the plug in the bath wouldn’t release.
Would stay again and would recommend..

Wow, we loved everything about this apartment. It was our first trip to Whitby and we really couldn't have stayed anywhere better. The location is absolutely perfect with fabulous seaside views. We loved having a main door on Royal Crescent and walking from/back every day. A short walk in one direction was the whale bones and steps down to the pier/harbour/swing bridge/199 steps/Abbey etc and in the other direction a lovely walk on your doorstep along the promenade passing the many colourful beach huts. The apartment itself was gorgeous, really comfortable throughout with great facilities. Loved the styling, furniture and decor. Communication with the Hosts prior to arriving and on departure was great. So totally recommend to all visiting Whitby if you want to make your trip extra special. Can't wait to return one day!

Wonderful apartment with a true wow factor, spacious, clean, extremely well equipped and comfortable.

Great location overlooking the sea, allocated parking space a huge bonus as parking in Whitby can be stressful when it's busy.

Great clear and reassuring communication from host and stay.

On arrival,
we noticed a slight drain smell from both bathrooms, probably accentuated by the fact that neither has windows. Easily fixed by a shot of bleach down each plug hole.

Beautiful apartment, well equipped with everything you might need. Spotlessly clean on arrival. Easy to check in. Modern fully equipped kitchen and very spacious. Photos do not fully show how spacious the apartment is. Very comfy beds, good bathrooms and powerful showers. The apartment itself is located in quiet area within easy reach of the town with loads of bars and restaurants. We absolutely loved staying here and will definitely be back.

This was our second year staying in this wonderful apartment. We love it here and had a brilliant stay just as last year. The location is fabulous, the apartment beautifully decorated and super clean and has everything you need. We definitely hope to return again.

Beware if you have a larger car, the parking space at the rear of the property is very tight, with a wall, lamppost and wheelie bins making it tricky! Unfortunately we damaged our car reversing, even though the car has cameras. We were also with 2 cars for one of the days and as the apartment sleeps 5, it would be great with an extra parking space/permit perhaps at the front of the property. A proper sized ironing board would be useful as the small one was ok but not ideal.
It was a lot more expensive than last year, £145 more which I think it’s a huge price increase, also considering we stayed Mon-Thurs and not over a weekend.

The apartment was very spacious, beautifully furnished and so well equipped. The location was excellent.

If I had to be picky, some advance details about having to take your own shampoo/shower gel would have been appreciated. Possibly a few teabags and coffee sachets would also have been nice to see on arrival, as there was some milk in the fridge.

We had a wonderful few days here. The property was immaculate and spacious. It's in an excellent location, just a short walk downhill to the harbour with restaurants and cafes. The flat felt really opulent and the beds were extremely comfortable. Incredible showers - my daughter now wants a monsoon shower!!
The only negative issue we had, really, was frustration at the requested £25 payment after booking to cover potential damage although this is upfront on the property page and is the same for most properties in Whitby.
There was a lovely welcome package, the parking space worked really well for us - it's not a huge space, but really handy to have somewhere for the car. Regular communication from Host&Stay as well. It was an excellent experience.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean.

No negatives about the property at all. Personally I would pick somewhere further into town as the walk home wasn’t easy with a full tummy and after a few beers. If your younger and fitter this would not be a problem.

Everything in Whitby was just a short walk from the front door and we had a parking space reserved round the back. Lovely welcome gifts and everything was kept to a really high standard.

Second time staying here and it is perfect for us (2 adults & 3 children). Everything you could need for a self catering holiday, very well equipped apartment/kitchen with a large family size fridge/freezer and the location is fab. Very clean and lots of pillows/towels. There is a supermarket 5 mins drive away and the walk into Whitby town is 10mins. We will be booking again for next year! Thank you.

If you are staying in either of the front 2 apartments the key boxes are further on into the building which did have us fooled for a few minutes. The apartment is gorgeous. I spend a lot of time choosing places so its nice when I get it so right. Unusually for me (chronic back pain) the bed was fine which helps heaps. Lots of cushions around to keep me comfy wherever I was. Lots of places within walking distance (not far as I can't walk for long) and lovely sea view.

I am not even going to say what was missing as its very petty and we had stuff with us just in case. Apartment was lovely and location fine.

The location was perfect and the apartment was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It had a fully equipped kitchen and all the home comforts you could think of.

The parking space was not easy to manoeuvre into for a larger car as it was down a narrow alley at the back of the property. The space was quite small and a telegraph pole and neighbours wheelie bins meant that there was hardly any room to reverse in. Other properties had parking scratch cards for parking bays at the front.

How Host & Stay managed the booking, payment etc especially the damage waiver. Also we had issues at the premises which Host & Stay did not resolve nor have they since. I would advise the owner to take a careful look at how Host & Stay manage the property.

We had an absolutely fantastic 2 night stay here on the West Cliff. Cannot fault the apartment it was so well equipped with everything we needed, and the luxury extras that made it such an enjoyable time. Location is spot on, with a sea view from the living space area. You get your own very grand front door on the crescent, we felt very posh! You get your own free parking space right at the back entrance to the building which I can tell from mooching about the area is a luxury in the middle of Whitby. We were so close to everything we wanted, just popping back wasn't an issue at all after we got sandy or wet from the crashing waves. 10/10 :)

A fabulous apartment with everything you could need for a comfortable stay (we were 2 adults and 3 kids, no high chair though which would have been good). Very clean with good quality fittings and furniture, high end appliances including large fridge/freezer which is ideal for a self-catered break and a very well equipped kitchen, all the utensils/crockery you could need. Pictures don’t do it justice! Much more spacious in real life, lovely big beds and lots of pillows. Great location too, within few minutes walking distance to the beach and town. Lovely to have milk, bread and cookies on arrival too, this was a lovely touch.

The only reason I didn’t score 5 is because the parking situation is not accurate - as of 1/8/22 the allocated parking bay is not ready and not signed up so we struggled to find the space - we called Host & Stay who advised where the space is but it overlapped a neighbours space and they came knocking and were very irate! We ended up parking elsewhere. BUT this has not put me off staying here again as the apartment and location is definitely worth it, just something to be aware of before arrival especially if you have a big car. Highly recommend this apartment for a lovely stay.

Fantastic location close to the beach but still fairly quiet. This is a lovely flat with sea views and spacious rooms with high quality fittings. We were glad that some essentials were provided as well.

However, parking and entrance instructions need to be corrected and provided ahead of the stay.

Amazing sea facing apartment at most beautiful location of Whitby. I visited with family (2 adults + 2 kids) and it was perfect to accommodate all of us. Very well presented, stylish apartment with all amazing list of features. My family in love with the apartment and wish to visit again.
